As a guy who’s mixed and with curly hair, I never really had the curls I wanted except if I fix them everyday with oils,it’s hard but when I saw this video I fr smiled in happiness thx my bro
As of late, I've been growing out my hair. I've had medium-length hair for years, but it wasn't until 2018 that I realized I actually have wavy hair. Throughout college, my hair would always crease and break off, if you will, from say, a classic side part (think G-Eazy, or the men from Mad Men). I would get frustrated, but I didn't realize why. Then, I went back to the pompadour w/ a taper fade and wore it kinda messy. Anyway, I've kinda found a routine that works for now, and yes, while I wash my hair everyday, I shouldn't. As of right now, I've been using a Cantu curling cream and Luster's S-Curl gel. It works for now. I've also used CocoMagic's curling cream and Marc Anthony's Strictly curls. My favorite is still the MA's curl cream, but I'm trying to finish the Cantu one first. Like you said, everyone is different.
As someone who is byracial and is in the mid to early teenage years it's low key hard dealing with my hair especially with parents who don't know how to deal with ny hair so I kinda have to learn myself. This video helped alot, now I know what to get for my hair
Literally I have been washing my hair with hot water since I started doing my own hair.. 😭 now that i think about it my dad washes his hair with cold water. Thank you! My curls are usually defined but I think the hot water causes the extra frizz and lack of volume.
For 28yrs of my life I hated my puffy frizzy hair but I recently used leave in conditioner and I was like wow, I never knew my hair can get curly, this video will help alot.. but idk if I should use the leave in conditioner and smoothie or can I just use one or the other??
Okayy I have a lot of questions 1. What is the best haircut to grow my hair long and have my curls. 2. Will you do more videos like this because I’m failing with my curls
That’s awesome! I’m so glad you found your curl cream! 🎉 Finding the right products can make such a difference in managing your curls. If you have any questions about how to use it or styling tips, feel free to ask. Enjoy your beautiful curls!
And also real quick I’m growing out my hair ( the sides and back as well ) should I still be getting it lined up. It’s coming down on my ears and looks a little weird lol.
Hey bro I’ve made a video about my routine and I’ve use those products to grow my hair out. And I’d say get low taper to grow your hair out, and if you’d like a tapered hairline as well.
Thanks for the great tips. Should I use a washable moisturizer during shower or is paraben/silicone free curly hair shampoo good enough? I take a shower twice or thrice per week
Glad you found the tips helpful! 😄 If you’re showering a few times a week, a paraben/silicone-free curly hair shampoo should do the trick for your hair.
Hey man I was thinking about getting a haircut soon and right now I have curly/wavy hair straighter at the roots but curlier when its long. RIght now its a undercut mushroom shape and i like it but I like how your hair is at the start of the video. If you could describe that haircut that would be awesome. Also did you use any products or anything, I know its a year later but its similar to mine and I really like it. Thanks. Also whats the difference between a barber and a hair stylist.
Can you use creams like curl la la every day? Cuz thats what I do but I have been noticng my hair getting dryer after a couple hours of applying I cant keep that tight and shiny look all day…
Dude your like one of only people i seen with the exact same hair as me but i got a bit of problem my mom used to used a brush and my hair used to turn straight and its currently still kind of straight at certain parts and curly at some part how do I make it naturally turn back curly or if there no way should I restart
It’s definitely not uncommon to see some curls fall out when your hair is wet, especially if you're running your fingers through them. Wet hair is more fragile, so it’s important to be gentle. Try using a wide-tooth comb or your fingers to detangle instead of tugging at the curls too much. If you’re consistently losing a lot of hair, it might be worth checking in with a stylist or dermatologist, but a little shedding is usually normal.
Thanks I’ll try these out. I’ve always wanted longer curly hair but I always had to keep it short because it looks so bad when it starts getting long. Do these tips work for people with red hair?
Finger coiling can give your curls a defined shape, but its longevity can vary depending on your hair type and how you maintain your style. Typically, the definition from finger coiling can last a few days, but it might start to loosen up or frizz over time. To extend the life of your style, you can: Avoid touching your hair too much, as this can cause frizz and disrupt the coils. Sleep with a satin or silk pillowcase or use a satin/silk scarf or bonnet to minimize friction and preserve your curls. Refresh your curls with a light mist of water or a curl refresher spray to reactivate the coils if they start to lose definition. You might need to touch up or redo your finger coiling every few days, depending on how your hair holds up.
Got a perm 3 weeks ago, but my front curls seem to be going loose? Maybe because I’m putting shampoo daily( shea moisture coconut hibiscus curl) just started applying a curl can dream moisturizer. I also dry hair with cotton t shirt? Any recommendations to get those curls back??? Maybe don’t wet hair daily??
Garnier Fructis is a popular brand, but it might not be the best for curls, especially if it has silicones or sulfates. Curly hair usually benefits from products that are sulfate-free and silicone-free to avoid frizz and maintain moisture. You might want to try a curl-specific shampoo and conditioner for better results!
I work at a a restaurant and for 7 hours a day im surrounded by fryers and ovens and when i come home my hair always smells like fried Greece and i know washing it everyday is bad so do you know any products that can change the smell of my hair without stripping any oils .
lowkey my hair isn’t exactly curly it’s more wavy but i make it curly with my towel by like “drying” it by swirling it. it definitely made it kinda like poofy/frizzy. it’s too short to make it curly enough but i’m def gonna try some of these. i don’t use any products btw so if u have any tips i’d appreciate it for more like short natural hair
My hair used to be 3c but now it’s 2c and had coils and looked amazing but now I can’t find how to get them back my hair looks dead and dry and it’s just Uber all frizzy so how can I fix this
A problem I have with my curly hair is that when I get it nice and shiny and looking good, it’s not as puffy like I would like it, it’s kinda kept down to my head hence when I use my conditioner it doesn’t make my curls look that good and straightens them out a bit but my hair gets really puffy. Also should I be combing my hair out after the shower? Or just let it air dry
You Should try using a good Mousse for your hair and using a blow dryer with warm and cool air which will create volume while also keeping your definitions
Does that mean I should shampoo less? I use strictly curls hair product for my hair but it always tends to frizz up really fast when I go outside and it’s windy.
@@matthewnorton422 yeah do you have suggestions for what shampoo I should get and use? cuz I use this shampoo called suave moisturizer shampoo and it doesn’t seem to be working great

If it doesnt get stiff, it sometimes stays dry and my curls dont seem defined. I wanted to know if i was applying it wrong, not distributing it right, adding too much product. Any advice helps!
Bro don't listen to this guy, just apply a dime size, quarter size at most to your hair fully throughout. If you want to curl it, curl it AFTER you apply it with your hands. I just apply it and use a hair blower after letting it air dry for about 5 minutes
Hey! It’s not uncommon for hair to change texture after a big chop. While you may not be able to revert it back to the same curls you had, there are a few things you can try to encourage curlier patterns. First, keep your hair well-hydrated with moisturizing products, like leave-in conditioners and curl creams. Just be patient-your hair may still have some changes ahead! If you have any specific products in mind or need more tips, feel free to ask!

I’m not a huge fan of leave in conditioner for one, but also the curl smoothie is designed to hold and moisturize curls at the same time so I feel like it’s best to do it that way.
