I love that you're teaching your daughter the trade of scrapping,or 'junking' as my daddy use to call it. I loved going out with my dad. As my dad is no longer with us I have to say cherish days like this with your daughter! I looked forward to the weekends so I could ride with my dad from block to block and dumpster to dumpster!! God bless you and your family!!
My Dad and I worked well together. Whether it was clearing land or helping him in the garage where he was able to do most of the work on cars himself.😊❤
Hi Mr Scrapping, you have inspired me to make more of my day by getting up earlier. I also admire the way you are teaching Jessie about metals and lifting - good life skills!
You are an awesome dad. I used to work with my mom in the summer and loved it because I got to spend time with her. I am sure Jessie feels the same. She gets to be with you.
I'm glad your teaching your children about scrap. My father was a scrapper in the 60s 70s 80s when it wasn't popular. I learned all about it and taught my children how to make a dollar if needed.
Hi Jacob, Jess is a beautiful young girl, and l might add, fantastic worker. You are a terrific dad❤😊. A fantastic video. Thanks for letting me tag along 😊😊😊😊!
I put some of my scrap money towards my grandkids. We have a savings fund called making memories. They want to go places and do thing instead of gifts. They remember outings and not the gifts. Plus we remember outings and not gift we had given.
Oh that sounds like an interesting way of going about it I would have to talk with my kids to see if they would like to do stuff like that. I think that's awesome.
Ok you just taught me an easier way to get big stiff into the back of my ambulance. 2 wheeler up to the doors and then slide it off and up. Cool Beans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I enjoy your videos and your interactions with your daughter. I've noticed that the latch on your trailer's tailgate seems to cause you some delay and aggravation. Maybe it's time for an upgrade.
How many people have come out of their house while you're street scrapping and say " that's against the law isn't it"? Geez, I couldn't how many times I've heard that over 22 years of scrapping, here around Lexington KY and SW Ohio too. Some folks just don't understand that once they put something on the curb in front of their house, it's anybody's game then, that's why the police don't need any warrant to go through your stuff sitting on the curb. Anyways, yeah I kinda miss scrapping, miss having a little money in my pocket everyday, usually. But there's literally too many people doing it now, heck I started noticing more and more people all the time back in the early 90's and by the late 90's I couldn't scrap around my areas then, had to go way out of town, in other towns, just to get enough scrap to take a load in the next morning and got to burning more gas by doing all that Xtra running, my doggone overhead was cutting into my pocket profit, not to mention putting extra wear and tear on my old vehicles, when you're a scrapper you can't afford no down time by working on your vehicle too much, you better hope it's something you can fix yourself pretty quick, know what I mean? But I been out of scrapping for about 8-10 years now, well I was doing it with a brother in law the last time, I had to ride with him because I haven't drove since 08, I'm not allowed to get behind the wheel of anything in KY and Ohio, bcuz of health issues, my reaction time isn't what it used to be, in a nutshell, but the doctor in Ohio had the state take my license away and wasn't long after that KY followed suit. Anywho that put the kibosh on my driving and scrapping days. So I just watch some of the fellars on RUclips scrap, I just found your channel, been watching ole e-waste Ben from down under, scrapping around Melbourne Australia, he gets all the good stuff though ( e-waste), mostly the stuff that brings the most money, can't blame him for that! Anyways, have a good one bud!
Everybody says you're teaching your kids to scrap. And you doing a good job doing that but there's always a but you need to be taught a very simple rule about scrapping leave it better than you found it. I've seen several videos where you make a mess and leave that makes the rest of us look bad please just pick up what you drop on the ground.
