Man the more I listen to Radiohead the more I realize what a huge influence they have and how other bands have influenced them. Bodysnatchers sounds like The Strokes and Queens of the Stone Age's new stuff, SHA is a dead ringer for a Big Wreck or Soundgarden song. So awesome how they interact with other bands.
First time I heard Body Snatcher, the riff reminded me of Queens of the Stone Age as well. But today i just think it sounds Radiohead-ish, because it is more complicated then a typical QOTSA riff, and more jazzier. However SHA was heavily influenced by Miles Davis, especially Bitches Brew. They have often mentioned that. But interesting theory though, Soundgarden, I am guessing that you are referring to Black Hole Sun, the arpeggio playing and, and the space-e guitar sound. I know what you are meaning. . But I don´t know what big Wreck is.
Was just checking them out. They sound a lot like Soundgarden. And his voice and singing style is like Cornell´s style. Not bad. just as powerful as Cornell. ...By the way, I have a song that is influenced by SHA as well. This is a song that has influenced alot of musicians apparently - Another interesting fact, which I heard online, that SHA is very much influenced by Dear Prudence, by John Lennon. I think that I agree with that statement.
Can't find bodysnatchers anywhere on you tube, thanks for the upload. Definitely one of their heaviest and most unique songs. Definitely top 10 material
I can’t thank you enough for figuring out a way to post my favorite album without copyright infringement. I hope this stays up forever. And with no interruptions!
Trust me, the fade out/in is slightly earlier in this. It's supposed to be about 2 seconds later, trust me, it's freaky when you get the crossfading perfect.
The 10 second overlap sounds better. The band that recorded this set it that way. I think you should repost this with the proper overlap. I just wasted 12 minutes playing this for someone only to not have the songs overlap how they were intended
Yes it is definitely the other way around. Since this came out in 1997 (I´m guessing that you are referring to Subterranean Homesick Alien, from Ok Computer. By that time the world hadn´t heard Muse. it wasn´t until 1999, when they released their first album.
They sure is, or were, during their first albums (which were the best ones) but oddly enough that they have never admitted that. They just talk about being influenced by Nirvana, RATM and Jeff Buckley. Which they are, and you can hear it in their sound. But their main influences, in the beginning that created the legendary Muse sound, were Radiohead influences. ...I am very much influenced by Radiohead as well, but I am just going to proudly admit it, instead trying to hide it.
Many bands sound or try to sound like Radiohead. They were and are still an influential band. Some artists like Muse and Coldplay, prefer to steal their sound. Muse is alright though despite that.
Wait, does the 1/10 mean this is live? Because if so, they sound so friggin good. I mean, if this is from an album it still sounds cool, but if this is live then it is straight up great.
+Martin Heron no, regardless if it's monetized or not, videos that have the audio for Bodysnatchers or Paranoid Android will get their video blocked worldwide.
So loud it's bad. Distortion, compression, loudness wars. Sounds like crap. Coming from the band who pays out for a plagerism claim, then sues someone else for plagerizing the same song they plagerizied. Insanity.
If you listen closely you'll hear it's only one keyboard line that's distorted - it was done like that deliberately you dumbass. It was a signature of their sound at that time, if you knew anything about Radiohead at all you'd know that.
That tone for Bodysnatchers is unbelievable.
The segue from Bodysnatchers into SHA sounds ridiculously good.
Actually there's a pivot chord modulation and I don't think it was aleatory.

Stefán Atli Jakobsson check out Big Wreck's song Albatross! They're a Canadian-American band😊

Sadly not (that's something I'd like to see though!), "01/10" is a common name for the mixing of OK Computer and In Rainbows (also "Ones and Zeroes")
Martin Heron I see, thanks for the info
How is this not blocked.
Because it's not monetised?
+Martin Heron no, regardless if it's monetized or not, videos that have the audio for Bodysnatchers or Paranoid Android will get their video blocked worldwide.
Transformative enough for Radiohead and their labels to not care, or uploaded is on some paperthin ice

sounds like you just came here to complain
That is the point of the song.

Jared Johnson go find a better band than radiohead i’ll wait
