Thats not no 2 grade red oak. No 2 grade will have a lot of knots.

This is No. 2 grade. In our area, it's a lot cleaner and we would cull any super bad boards. More than likely, this product came from south Georgia or Alabama. Number 1 grade would have less black mineral streaking in the boards.
