I’m not trying to shade other vids but this is genuinely the first breakfast burrito vid that actually looks appetizing and not like one blob of mush all mixed together. Looks soooo good
I know right, I'm looking for this and all that pops up are those mushy protein breakfast burritos where the only breakfast items in the recipe are the eggs and tortilla.
I make freezer burritos all the time, the best way to heat them up is to wrap them in a damp paper towel and microwave (prob 1.5-2 minutes then flip and another 1.5-2 minutes depend on how thick it is). Once its heated up if you have access to a sandwich press/air fryer you can use that to quickly toast the outside.
@@itchypandaa i suppose you could, but the point is that when you defrost them they get a lil soggy, so frying then helps crisp the exterior back up. If you fried them first you'd still have to do it again after defrost so theres no point.
Give us a recipe or promote a cookbook because we don't know what some of these ingredients are. It's like, why show yourself making food you dont want us to make?😮💨☺️
Based on the video: - frozen hash brown patties baked until crispy - bacon fried in skillet - shredded cheese, probably jack cheese based on the color and texture - avocado - eggs and splash of milk whisked together and scrambled in butter, topped with chives and pepper - the sauce looks like mayo, hot sauce, grated garlic, maybe a tiny bit of hot honey (honey infused with chilis. Hard to tell though), salt, pepper. - Assemble on a warm flour tortilla (must be warm or it will split open) and pressed into hot dry skillet for color and crisp.
@@jabbathegoole Well you'd have to wait until they're at least room temp before freezing anyways. It's never a good idea to put hot or even warm food in the freezer.
@@samuelmontypython8381 cooling slowly can allow bacteria growth when cooling for freezing it should be done in a shallow dish with as much surface area or in a double ice bath.
@@Nathan-lk4iuyes it is true. the only reason they say not to put hot food in the fridge or freezer is because it can raise the temp and potentially warm up other foods. however i’d rather that then have food sitting at room temp where its most dangerous
Wait until all ingredients are cold and then assembled the burrito. Also give it some extra pan time once rolled to brown as many sides as possible. Wait for it to cool down again on either a wire rack or paper towels then wrap tightly with cling wrap and refrigerate. Then just reheat wrapped in paper towels in microwave or pop in to a toaster oven. It helps... but it's so hard to meal prep burritos without them getting a little soggy. Besides like flash freezing.
Ooh no I was taught by my neighbour in new mexico roast hatch green chile's over open flame and peel skin de seed and chop, bacon cooked and crumbled, scrambled egg, cheese and pico de gallo or salsa roll and eat no need for a frying pan, absolut3ly delicious, made about a hundred for a garage sale once a d they sold out in 30 minutes
If you are a novice in the kitchen, or somehow don't feel comfortable improvising, I'd suggest you stay away from cooking shorts. And focus on full-recipes. I've travelled all over the world, and there is nothing here you can't buy basically everywhere. smh
@papaee5678 2 hash browns≈ 280 calories; 2 bacon≈80 calories, that large Tortilla (assuming it's flour) ≈ 450 calories, 2 eggs scrambled ≈140 calories, Mozzarella cheese ≈ 100 calories. About 1,000 calories in that burrito. Of course the calories can change depending on what brands they are, but still a high cal breakfast
@@SaucedUpFoodshow about you tell us the ingredients for the mayonnaise-based sauce like people are asking. You're going to worry about someone asking about how long it takes to be in the freezer or whatever that's not more important than knowing what the sauce is.

i’ve made these so many times, though i now use hashbrown bites/tater tots. so so yummy

These look delish. What was the white base for the sauce?
prolly yoghurt
Mayonnaise
sour cream
Fufu
Sour cream for flavor, or plain Greek yogurt for lower fat.

Bacon doesn’t work for meal prep breakfast burritos. The bacon will get soggy and chewy like beef jerky. Sausage is the only way to go.
Hash brown and scrambled eggs in wraps are good for breakfast
How long does it last in the freezer?
I would say quality side 1-2 months and 2-3 month safe side if they were brought down to freeze quick enough.
