The Dark Somnium I’m also a New Listener and I’m really enjoying the stories as well. My friends think I’m demented because I listen to creepy scary stories like Dr. Creepin, and CreepyPasta’s stories.
Absolute phenomenal story. It’s not even correct to even label these as creepypastas as they’re not scary, but instead thought provoking dives into these unique being’s perspectives, be it Gods, AI, Spirits or Devils. The character driven stories, the existential ones, these are my favourite stories that find a deeper meaning through all the doom and gloom, rather than falling for the trappings of mindless scares or gore.
I love the tangible feeling of disconnect he slowly begins to experience as the environment becomes less an environment and more of an observable garden that he can no longer really interact with. This was great!
Whoever the author is did an awesome job! It's been a while that a story evoked any emotion in me, and this one just made me sad in a good way. Not going to lie, I thought it would turn out to be a giant earthworm.
Coming back to some videos, like the classic ones, ur voice is always soothing. Keep going please. Been here since 20k, ur almost at 500k. Its very fun to see you keep growing.
My personal opinion. This is by far my favorite story. It's so creative how The author took a Mayan legend and gave a real face to it. There is so much about the earth we barely, know especially the oceans. One can only hope that's such a mythical being still exist.
What a wonderful story! Quite an analogy for our world today. As always your voice, and production were stellar. Thank you, so much for sharing your vision with us!
I guess I should have known this was a Quetzalcoatl story. Should have been obvious from the start that it was a snake and not a human or a monkey of some form. Great creepypasta, probably one of the best I've heard recently; not scary but it had a great plot and lesson throughout it and at the end.

Another fascinating reinterpretation of traditional tropes. Humanizing a godlike figure instead of positioning them as eldritch or ambiguous. A misunderstood but benign anomaly, no different than us, but vastly different than us. Amazing.
This story came out at such a perfect time for me. I've been out of touch with nature for a few years now when I used to rock climb, camp, hike, etc back in my home country. I've only recently started getting back out again and rediscovering the outdoors, working through unfamiliar grounds and appreciating nature. This has definitely given great perspective on our place here on earth. Great story Brittonrt! Awesome quality as always DS! You've made me seriously consider trying my hand at creepypasta narration, I've always loved telling stories.
My heart swelled at the ending. Masterful storytelling. I"ve been watching you for years and it's crazy to see how quality even these old videos are. You are one of the best storytellers on this site. Your music and ambiance draws me in unlike anything else.
From the very first few sentences I was imagining a little garter snake (bc I love snakes sooo much, and they live together), but then a jaguar happened so I was trying to think of what other kind of snake farther south to imagine, and as the story went on, I was like, "wait, this actually IS a snake!!" I was so excited, even though this is such a heartbreaking story. What a great and somber narration to pair with it, too!
THIIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL STORIES I HAVE EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE. I CRIED AT THE END, AND IT TAKES A HELL OF A LOT FOR ONE OF THESE STORIES TO MAKE ME FEEL ANY TEARS FALL. MY SORROW FOR THIS EARTH IS UNFATHOMABLE :(

I loved this, just a beautifully tragic tale of an immeasurably old giant being making its way through the world. Being able to hear its perspective of us, the little people, and how we taught it many things and sadly kept breaking its heart. It was all so powerful.
This one and 'Listen to the sounds of your own extinction' are my FAVORITES!!! Your voice and the ambient music and sounds you have in your readings just pull me into the story so we'll it's truly like I'm there!!! Thank you so much for what you do. I listen to your videos all the time and they help me out a lot especially because I'm alone. It's like having someone with me, so thank you thank you thank you!
Yeah that one was really good
On walk to work starting at 4:40 am,pitch black, damp air and a cold that shivered through my exhausted bones. I expected this story to be one of fire and fear as a lot of them seem to be as such... but this one made me feel like I was less alone,it brought tears to my eyes and no longer am I crawling through the mud. Thank you everyone who was a part of this storytelling / video 💙
I can imagine Quetzalcoatl in his cave binge watching Friends on a little TV set.
POV: you are queen Elizabeth

im so honored i can help at all! :) thank you!
The Dark Somnium I’m also a New Listener and I’m really enjoying the stories as well. My friends think I’m demented because I listen to creepy scary stories like Dr. Creepin, and CreepyPasta’s stories.
I now wanna draw the ending scene as I see it in my head. This is such a beautiful story
That last line always brings a tear to my eye, amazing job!!
god this is a good one, more similar to this please.
It kinda reminds me of that flash game where you play as a stone totem head guy and you have 10,000 years I think to stop the end of the world.
That's sounds cool, I wonder what game it is
I’m pretty sure the game you’re talking about is called 400 years.
Its so sad
Absolute phenomenal story. It’s not even correct to even label these as creepypastas as they’re not scary, but instead thought provoking dives into these unique being’s perspectives, be it Gods, AI, Spirits or Devils.
The character driven stories, the existential ones, these are my favourite stories that find a deeper meaning through all the doom and gloom, rather than falling for the trappings of mindless scares or gore.
I love the tangible feeling of disconnect he slowly begins to experience as the environment becomes less an environment and more of an observable garden that he can no longer really interact with. This was great!
Quetzalcoatl has always been... benevolent.
Someone should tell him about nature preserves and national parks, might brighten his day a little
Nope it wouldnt

Whoever the author is did an awesome job! It's been a while that a story evoked any emotion in me, and this one just made me sad in a good way.
Not going to lie, I thought it would turn out to be a giant earthworm.
Literally the music in the background can sometimes help give such an emotional impact that I can feel a shiver going through my body
Coming back to some videos, like the classic ones, ur voice is always soothing. Keep going please. Been here since 20k, ur almost at 500k. Its very fun to see you keep growing.
thank you so much :)
@@Darksomnium hey man, you’ve earned it all.
The story is just so somehow you make it feel so lively your narrating skills and the music is unlike anything i have ever heard
thank you so much :)
The music… absolutely beautiful. The piano melody at the end broke my heart.
One of your best stories yet.
dude what the
i just finished listening to it but i can barely read, i have tears in my eyes kajsdhf
omg this is making me think so much ;;
amazing story, amazing narration, amazing editing
everything is on point!
This is genuinely such a good tale, and it’s nice to come across it every now and then ❤️
thank you jacey :)
My heart swelled at the ending. Masterful storytelling. I"ve been watching you for years and it's crazy to see how quality even these old videos are. You are one of the best storytellers on this site. Your music and ambiance draws me in unlike anything else.
This is really well written. Better than many authors i would say.
This isn't even scary anymore, this is just sad tbh
This story is a piece on why to stay healthy and eat your eggs!
There a great source of protein and other needed nutrients while maintaining low calories
Your channel always brings the highest emotions for me. Thank you so much for making this one
Glad you enjoy it!

THIIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL STORIES I HAVE EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE. I CRIED AT THE END, AND IT TAKES A HELL OF A LOT FOR ONE OF THESE STORIES TO MAKE ME FEEL ANY TEARS FALL. MY SORROW FOR THIS EARTH IS UNFATHOMABLE :(
The way the God talks, like so full of anguish and hopelessness that he seems on the verge of teara. It broke my heart
I have to say, I have watched all of your narrated stories and most of other channels like yours. Even though I have heard countless others this one still sticks out as my favorite and occupies a special place in my heart. Please keep up the amazing work!
I can't get enough of your videos! Especially these with a twisty ending like Quetzalcoatl?! Are you kidding me?! I did not see that coming! I've even come up with my own creepy stories based from your videos! Keep up the great work!
Stories abaut Mesoamerican mythology are one of the Best and one of the least popular, still, amazing video!
I know this is an old comment but do you know any other videos like this because they are amazing to listen to while trying to fall asleep
Your voice carries so much emotion. It's lovely, calming.
Thank you! 😊
this story was so so beautiful, i love learning about mesoamerican culture and the reveal at the end made me so happy
This is so wholesome and motivating at the same time. A story from Aztec mythology on how times come and go pass. From sacrafices to the destructive nature of the little people being us. Love your stories brother please keep up with your amazing content 🙏
That was the best "No Sleep" story I have ever listened to. I only say "No Sleep" because instead of being scary it was mysterious and deep. Honestly one of the best short stories I've ever seen. I was absolutely captivated the entire time. Bravo! I'm definitely recommending this to some people.
Glad you enjoyed it!

AHHHH HE'S ONE OF MY FAVORITES I LOVED THIS 💜💜💜
The fact that he caused all of this because he decided to help them 😳
Really amazing story and narration!
First video I ever watched on this channel. A few months later im addicted
this story made me so sad. it was so beautifully written yet so heart breaking hearing his perspective and the death and destruction that he witnessed. this one was a real masterpiece
Wow. That one hits hard and true. Excellent story. I love the ones which linger in heart and thought long after the story is read. This is now one such as those for me. Ty
This video had me enthralled from start to finish so thank you very much for the enjoyment. The descriptive language and pacing of the individual who said it all into a mic had me so immersed that I felt that the least I could do was express my enjoyment of it. I'll be merrily awaiting more of your content. Thanks for the top tier enjoyment and hopefully I'll hear more like it for ya bud :)
Beautiful tale. I am ever so thankful to hear it from your voice!
You really give it the feeling it needs!
This has me emotional in a strange amd powerful way. Tieing in one of my favorite mythos with a beautiful story and ecological concerns has me in a mood. As always, a great narration, thank you!
Second time I've listened to this, but the last lines still made me tear up
I always love the booming music at the end. My favorite end song being the one from "I was dead for 6 minutes"
