I wonder if there are going to be more sleep experiment stories from around the world. So far I listened to the Russian, Texas and Arkansas ones. It's hard to tell if the 'experiment ' caused the supernatural stuff or if it was caused by their location, which seems eldritch or haunted.
Edit: Jk, the post underneath is BS obviously lol. Loved the story, thank you for another great narration and thanks to the author as well! Funnily enough though, it does sound like a crazy meth psychosis story but then again most of the bad side effects from meth use come from sleep deprivation and in this story there definitely was sleep deprivation sooo.. yeah. ------------------- They were getting hopped up on meth. The “uneasy” feeling is the fact their fight or flight is at 100% like most tweakers, that feeling ends up becoming severe paranoia and in worst cases psychosis. The “debates” they felt like having is just the dopamine making them feel euphoric and wanting to express their ideas more than ever before. They now believe their thoughts are some of the best ideas anybody has ever had. That’s why you see tweakers do crazy shit and not give a damn, it all sounded good in their heads. Source: uhh not saying that I would know for any specific reason 🙄🙄 just trust me I know.

If Mrcreepypasta if quits for some reason, you are the perfect contender to carry on his creepypasta legacy. I put you at his level, always excited when I see a new video from you.
In southern Arkansas near Camden, there are some similar stories except I can show you some of the creepy places in the woods. There are munition plants all over the area and in the 1940’s, they were build all over the woods (in the event of an explosion, trees and wooded areas help protect the surrounding cities.) I worked in some of the still operating buildings.. man, do they still give me the creeps. There are a few abandoned buildings that have had satanist rituals preformed in them. The air stays cold and heavy. Anyways… 10/10 would recommend the exploration of them.
It's funny, I was already thinking about this story the other day, because I have vivid hallucinations that I've recently found out are probably waking dreams due to having type II narcolepsy (and yes, a lot of them are terrifying)

I’m also an insomniac. Bravo 👏 this story is psychologically terrifying!!!!!😮. I will always love this channel!!!! You have made my life better in a weird way! Thank you Dark Somnium!!!
I've heard this story before from another narrator a long time ago. Your telling added something that made it more immersive. You're a great story teller. Sweet dreams.
Dude you are so amazing at this! This has honestly sent shivers down my spine with how good ad detailed it was, the first ever story I heard from you was 'my hometown is missing' and it was so good that I honestly had a hard time sleeping and ended up watching a ton of funny and happy videos to get my mind off of it. Please keep up the absolutely stunning work!
This is actually pretty good! It's sort of like the Russian Sleep Experiment but from the POV of the patients and more character building
Damn, this is the best source material you’ve narrated in a while.
Yay! New upload from Ronnie!!!
I’m from Arkansas. It’s so cool hearing things from my home state
As always Ronnie, you deliver like a champ!
Thank you! :)
I’ve literally been trying to finish this story for a week but I keep falling asleep. You’re too good at what you do, but thank you for helping me sleep.
11:43 actually gave me a bit of fright! Love the story and fantastic narration and sound design as always!
This is the first video of yours I've seen, and I gotta say WOW! The way you change your voice to fit the characters made me feel so immersed. And the sound effects?!?! Man, bravo!! You've gained a new fan 💚
Howdy from Pearcy, Arkansas... may regret listening to this one, Somnium.... much love
I've listened to this about 10 times and I love it more every time !! Sooo creepy, I love the stories where you cant tell if the characters are losign their minds or if something unexplainable is happening.
I live in Searcy Arkansas, and love your stories. Keep it up. You've got me hooked
@@akoyash9964 how's that
@@akoyash9964 how is it obvious where I live
@James Lundy A Rebel I most certainly am. Not a Rible in the sense that you might think. No I'm not a white supremacist, no I don't have sex with my cousins, and yes we were shoes in the south.
@@lastmanstanding1767 doesn’t matter. Confederate flag supports slavery
@@goonygaming3390 maybe 100 years ago. Today it just repents the south.
As an Arkansan I see this as an absolute win
Thank you Somnium this is perfect timing, work is awful tonight manager quit and everything lol you’re my saving grace ! 🤣❤️
dude this channel is the only creepypasta channel ive found with only quality content. with most channels, the videos are hit or miss but i have yet to hear a bad story
Thank you so much:)
Expertly performed and delivered as usual. I just recently found your channel and I am looking forward to hearing your future work.
I live in Searcy Arkansas! Love it here. I’m now going to spend everyday looking for the octagon
Having always had night terrors & one awful episode of sleep paralysis, It was oddly comforting Dark Somnium means dark dreams! 🖤 From Australia
Thank you for being here.
Good evening!! Hope you’re having a good Monday Ronnie. Looking forward to tonight’s story
good evening! i am! thank you charles. i hope you have a good night!
@@Darksomnium Damn, all these subs and you still put in the effort to interact with your audience. That's why you're the best!
By far one of the best horror stories I’ve heard on youtube and the best narration too. Well done!
Reporting live from Hot Springs Arkansas

Oh, I absolutely love this story. So glad you decided to narrate it. I recently found your channel and I love your content. You have a great voice for these stories! Thanks for doing what you do.
Arkansas bros where you at
woop x)
Man you came back with a vengeance after that (very needed) break. Love to see it and I hope you're feeling better
I wonder if there are going to be more sleep experiment stories from around the world. So far I listened to the Russian, Texas and Arkansas ones.
It's hard to tell if the 'experiment ' caused the supernatural stuff or if it was caused by their location, which seems eldritch or haunted.
I can confirm that Searcy, Arkansas is, in fact, eldritch and haunted.
loved this one! my favorite parts were the group meetings and when the guy went on the elevator
Perfect to listen to as I’m about to fall asleep 😆
“To those who sleep” that line hit me the hardest
Edit: Jk, the post underneath is BS obviously lol. Loved the story, thank you for another great narration and thanks to the author as well!
Funnily enough though, it does sound like a crazy meth psychosis story but then again most of the bad side effects from meth use come from sleep deprivation and in this story there definitely was sleep deprivation sooo.. yeah.
-------------------
They were getting hopped up on meth.
BS.. sure buddy ;)
Takes one to know one and I see you.
@@iamV10010 if you actually took the time to read my dumbass comment then I know for a FACT you "see me" ha
@@iamV10010 nice tits by the way, I'm SURE I've said before somehow cause your pic seems familiar and I'm usually not so bold 😯🙄
Please more stories like this. I LOVE the stories where the line between reality and fantasy are blurred through insanity
I can confirm Arkansas is a scary place
I know right inbreds running everywhere
Your sci-fi genre narrations are just the best of the best! This completes my life:')
The fact that I don't remember any of my dreams so it sort of feels like I don't dream at all makes the ending of this story way harder
i think this was the FIRST creepypasta i ever listened to. i think creepsmcpasta read it? i was WAY too young to listen to it but there i was. it haunted my dreams, especially the thumbnail for weeks. then i proceeded to listen to as many scarystories as i could lmfao
NOPE- that was the russian sleep experiment. the sentiment still stands though lmfao
U never fail to deliver, thanks.
thank you :D
DS does so good with these stories. I would never be able to narrate theses creepy pastas.
He has an amazing skill with narration and the sound effects. The brain (my brain anyways) turns them all into little shows. You can tell the effort he puts in.
>Thank whatever you believe in that you have sleep. And you dream.
>All the dreams I can remember are either horrifying or grotesquely surreal nightmares
As someone who has been sleep deprived?
That energy high is just being over tired!
its not good
Always listen to you on the drive to and from work. Favorite story teller.
“There’s an exit inside JT. We just have to cut him open to get out”...as a fellow JT I am worried
This was the best story I've heard in awhile, good shit brotha much love
If Mrcreepypasta if quits for some reason, you are the perfect contender to carry on his creepypasta legacy. I put you at his level, always excited when I see a new video from you.
Thank you so much, I am so honored to hear that :)
100%, DS is one I discovered a while back but his work easily ranks him among the CP Legendary Narrators
Hearing this during a power outage in CA was the best choice.
don just 'bye guys' KILLED me omfg
I am continuing to discover all of these amazing stories. Your voice soothes my anxiety.
Thank you Heather:)
'Sleep would become a hobby...'
Become? I sleep as a hobby for decades already.
You are definitely my favorite story channel. Great for getting work done and/or slacking off
Born and raised in Little Rock Arkansas!! I may live in Missouri now but my heart belongs to Arkansas
That deep voice gets me everytime lol
X)
It's funny, I was already thinking about this story the other day, because I have vivid hallucinations that I've recently found out are probably waking dreams due to having type II narcolepsy (and yes, a lot of them are terrifying)
"to those who sleep"
Students : I guess this has nothing to do with me
Wow, what an absolutely amazing story and performed by a brilliant narrator no less.
