Guitarist Claude Thibeault, bassist Jean-Pierre Brie, drummer Phillipe Bernard and keyboard player Guy Pisapia asked vocalist Jean-Marc Pisapia to join them as the Box in 1982. He agreed, and the band released their first album (self-titled) two years later. Although all the members were French Canadian, they mostly sang in English. All the Time, All the Time, All the Time followed in 1985, but the band didn't make it in Canada until 1987's Closer Together. Their last album was The Pleasure and the Pain in 1990; after Bernand and Guy Pisapia left in 1992, the greatest hits compilation A Decade of the Box was released in 1993.

My favorite song ! I'm very happy that I grew up and was able to know this Quebec group called The Box. Unfortunately, they didn't have the success they totally deserved. Still listening to them even though we don't hear about them anymore. Will always be a true The Box fan ❤❤❤

This is one of my most favourite videos ever. I really liked the song when it came out on the radio, The vocal flow, the chorus, the small guitar solo in the middle, the bass line, etc.
Then a couple of months later, I caught this video. Perfect. It was nice the imagery siuted the song so well. Editing, location, cinematography, etc.
The band was so subtle and on point that even after all these years, it is relevant unlike many other of the vids from that time. Most now look cheesy.

Strong Song, but HEAVEN 17, and English Duo featured their song on their Debut, "Penthouse and Pavement."

Well, one of the most underrated songs of the late 80s

I remember when I was in grade 11, this song came out. Was used in the Degrassi High Graduation Special when Joey Jeramyha was fooling around with Tessa Campenelli behind Caitlyns back during the summer holidays. This was pretty much it for the band, The Box, as they broke up and never came out with another hit during any of their following band re-creations. Another prominent band that was used in The Degrassi Special was "Harem Scare'em". In fact, Harem's entire first album was featured in the Degrassi Special. Other pop-singers that were often featured in Degrassi shows and the movie was Gowan with the song "All the lovers in the world" and "Cosmetics".
Amen to that back in 2009, i was on a kick of watching Degrassi High Reruns, from doing that i got two songs i never knew, To Feel The Feeling Again by Coney Hatch and Temptation by The Box. Temptation and Carry On were their last two hits i guess.
I'm almost positive I heard Shine by Doughboys on Degrassi?
@@grabasandwich I don't think so. They didn't become 'mainstream' until after Degrassi went off the air so none of their songs were aired on any episode that I know of

Catchy tune, and memorable video. The Box tried hard here, and probably were just a few years too late for the breakthrough. I wish it caught more "fire" at the time.

There was another song that stuck with me from Degrassi. I believe it was Shine by Doughboys. Might've been used in School's Out? I remember Caitlin saying "You were fucking Tessa Campanelli?" Shocking to hear that on TV then.
