This setup looks fantastic. Really looks good on this color. No need for painting, I don’t think. Mine is white and I would definitely end up painting for a clean more OEM look. Maybe.. leave the CF openings unpainted depending if the shop can handle that. Love it man. ❤ As far as fitment and operation goes.. The hood struts are designated for a certain amount of weight right? Do they need to be changed out? Does the hood weight substantially less? I would imagine when lifting the hood, it would fling it up way too fast or have too much force for closing. Potentially leading to damage. I’m just guessing from a past experience I had with another CF I had in past not on a G70.
The weight difference isn't substantial so don't believe the struts need changing. I tested it a few times in the video and everything opens and closes like OEM. No stress or overly flinging. Let me know when ready as I can do $100 OFF.

No, because it comes with under covers. They can be removed when needed.
