Well done Mandy! A brave dip in the Fjord, woman after my own heart! Have been wild swimming from childhood as family are from Finland so very jealous of your exciting adventures. Can't wait until we are on the road, this is our trip of a lifetime. Take care and enjoy!
I live in Sweden, it's a beautiful country, but Norway is on a different level 😍 Been there 5 times and next time i have to visit Lofoten. Thank you guys for great upload ❤️
@@greenmanoffgridcaravan Finland is unbelievably boring - like northern Sweden or Norway up to the Swedish border - only forests and lakes - everything is the same.
@@lpdude2005 Yes and no. It depends in which area you are. Landscape wise, I totally agree. It's mostly the same. BUT, if you go up north to Lapland, it's just amazing. Sami land and culture is something very unique and breathtaking. Believe me, I lived and worked there. Reindeer land rocks! lol
Thank you so much for the shots of the Aurora Borealis what an amazing natural phenomenon. Mandy, well done on braving the icy cold water - it is something you will look back on with fond memories.
Loved this ‘pun’-packed episode. Stunning scenery and some epic footage of those amazing roads and bridges. Mandy was also so brave on the ferry, and then swimming in the fjord.👍 But the cherry on top was your excitement at seeing the northern lights - what an experience. Am now looking forward to your next instalment - ‘John & Mandy - the hunt for Santa’... 🤣
As we always say, it can be exausting when the weather is nice in Norway. Spectacular sunrise, beautifull scenary during the day followed by the sunset where the light paints the mountains golden in the evening. And then, when you'er good and tired, the norhern ligth puts on a show all night.
Wow, I've been waiting for this video all week! I am so excited for you that you did get to experience the magical auroras. I was just about in tears. I think it is something that you have to experience in person to appreciate it fully. I did in 1982, and will never forget it. John, you really did pick a perfect spot to camp and have the perfect view. This is such a beautiful country. What is it about sunshine that makes everything better? Mandy, you are the bravest person going into the cold and weedy water like that!!

Awesome footage of the scenery and the Aurora borealis. From the reactions and the smiles on your faces it is easy to feel the excitement through the video.
Just amazing, beautiful, awesome. That’s it. I would think, it would feel like how insignificant we are and how lucky were you to see that and how lucky are we you shared it with us. Once again fabulous vlog. Can hardly wait for the next instalment. Stay safe.
Got recommended the first video when you entered Sweden. And when i saw the travel map i was thinking, they have to make a detour into northern Norway. As a Swede i have to say that some of the most impressive landscapes and nature i have seen has been in the north of Norway and out on Lofoten,
If you want a really spectacular experience, come back during the dark season, or even better in late January or February when the sun is getting back. The colours in the sky is breathtaking. And the Northern Ligts are clearer in the winter.
Ooh what fantastic scenery, great ferry crossing very calm water. Very brave Mandy to go swimming in the fjord beautiful and clear water. Wow the Aurora was amazing x
I was constantly saying ‘wow’ even before the light display. That’s was truly awesome. We once saw the lights in Dundee of all places and it was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. Magical thanks for sharing 😃👍🏻

Only one ferry left connecting the south of Norway to the north. It is discussed a tunnel crossing for years but it will be expensive since the fjord Tysfjord is very deep. They project a tunnel further up to the ocean, where the mouth of the fjord is at a shallow depth. Also, around this area is where Norway is at its narrowest, Hellemobotn, 6330 meters to the Sweden border. But we do not practice border controls here in the nordic countries. Unless you really want....

Another great vlog.. In the winter the snow covers the Arctic centre building... Drove that road in April 2019 snow was at least 3mtr high. Glad they clear the roads. That part is one way traffic at that time of year.. So you have to wait drive in a convoy... Good to see you enjoy Norway. Be safe. Cheers 🥃👍😎
Wow! That Fjord was absolutely stunning! I really like the way you two chat to camera as if someone is actually sitting there having a chat with you 👍🏻
Great stuff. We did Norway in the van in May ~June 2015. There was still ice on the lakes in Narvic. We had the midnight sun and its on our to do list to go back and sit it out for the Northern lights. Great shame you were not able to go up through the `Fjords and onto the Loften Islands then onto Narvic and head North from there a truly outstanding adventure route.
Hey you two, I’ve traveled through Norway from Bergan to Mo-I-rana many years ago. What a brilliant country. The booze was super expensive but hey ho. Question, do you know what the red poles are on either side of the road? Well, I’ll tell you….they are for the snow plough drivers so they know where the road is in winter!
