    hey so guess what, the medium pouch does not fit on the outside of the 31L prvke bag as shown with those gatekeeper clips .. despite that wandrd implied they do on their site and in their own video. you have to use those extra handles on the side to get it to fit into the loops on the outside of the 31L which doesn't look nearly as nice as the intended design. big bummer. glad it fits the 21L I suppose. just needed a wider set of loops on the pouch, no idea why they didn't build those in for the 31L attachment points. large tech pouch is the same width so I think it would be the same situation.

      That's a bummer, man. On the 21 you have to pull them in a bit to work but it definitely works. Alternatively, you could just attach it to the bag with a couple of carabiners or something like that and it would be fine. As I mentioned in the video, I use that front pocket too much on both the Duo and PRVKE to really have it there anyway. I don't have a 31L to give it a go for you but I'd say a couple of S-biners would do the trick or alternatively you could use the accessory straps from the bag and loop them through the clips on the pouch for a similar fit. That worked fine for me during testing.

      @@jtinseoul7041 yes although a total mystery as to why they designed and promote it to be used on the outside, produce it in weather resistant materials so you can, and then don't get the dimensions right so that you have to go find other clips to get it to work and that will look janky. who was in the meeting when they tried to clip the prototype to the prvke and then all thought that was ok?

    • @jtinseoul7041

      Hard to say. I would guess that that particular feature isn't high on the priority list of the pouches in general. The weather sealing is probably more meant to help when using the bag as a fanny pack or sling. Perhaps because the 31 is quite large as it is having to add extra dimension wasn't something they thought a lot of people would want with the larger PRVKE. All guesses, of course. And to be fair, every pouch I've ever seen attached to the outside of a bag looks janky whether or not the attachments are first party or not.

      Yep it's so annoying that they make it such a tight fit and didn't make it slightly longer to fit properly. I want to be able to put all my essentials in it, like power bank, hand sanitiser, tissues, cables etc. and then detach it to use as a sling. That way I've always got those things with me, whether on a shoot or in the club.

    Nice video! Thank you. I am a recent subscriber of your stuff. Congrats on the baby!! Just wondering if you are still using the Large Tech pouch? I was checking out your videos and I am looking for a solution for a Mirrorless camera. The tech pouch seems promising.

      I switched to the large toiletry pouch for a bit but I'm always testing pouches. My favourite for just simply tech stuff is the Goruck Wiredopp. How big is the camera? My favourite two camera cubes these days are The Brown Buffalo Roadie Sling or the Evergoods CAP2. I use them both for my Leica stuff. I sometimes still the Wandrd pouches too. Depends on the bag I'm using. The Evergoods / TBB have padding the whole way round which I am definitely a fan of.

      @@jtinseoul7041 Oh yes, I just watched the Hospital packing 2 where you compared the Mission Workshop and GR2 26L and you mentioned the Roadie sling. That is a little too expensive for me. I have a Fujifilm X-T3 that I normally pack with a 16-80mm F4 lens. I tried putting it in the CAP2, and it does fit. But I liked how you were able to clip the Wandrd to the PALS webbing which is a nice bonus. Have you tried any Alpaka slings? Eg Alpaka Go Pro Sling 2. I am looking for that sort of concept

      I've not tried them. I don't tend to be a "sling" guy very often. I'm working on a video about them but even that's a struggle because I tend to almost never be in a situation to use one. The only one I really tend to grab is one from Porter. I would say the Wandrd pouches might be good for your use case, though. Especially if you're not too worried about their being padding on all sides.

    Hello! I was wondering, do you think a Sony A7iii with a zeiss batis 25mm prime lens would fit on the large tech pouch?

    • @jtinseoul7041
      @jtinseoul7041  3 года назад +1

      I don't have an A7III but my EOS-R and a decent size lens fits if I don't put anything else in the pouch ;) Hope that helps!

      @@jtinseoul7041 thank you! One last follow up question - does the accordion style compartments make it harder to fit your EOS-R (with lens)?

    • @jtinseoul7041
      @jtinseoul7041  3 года назад +1

      @@calopepapi4744 I think you're getting these confused. The Large tech pouch doesn't have any accordion style pockets. Only the medium. The large just has an open space in the main compartment.
