Did you know that Peak Design has a smaller version of their Wash Pouch? I recently purchased one in Sage for shorter trips and now prefer it to the regular Wash Pouch. There is no information or reviews on any website, including their own.
Hey guys! Give the Aer Travel Kit a go. I use this as my toiletry pouch and the Aer Slim Pouch as my tech pouch. Killer combo if you ask me! Great for the minimalist travelers without compromising space or functionality.
It is far from being too large. I had to search for smaller deodorant sticks so that I could use it. And I had to discover how to use small plastic bags for any medications to us it. I could not deal with a wash bag being any smaller. And now that I have adapted how I carry items in my wash bag, it is more than perfect. I have owned a dozen wash bags before this one. They all had various issues. The best before was the Bad Bags Micro. But I kept having to search for items with that toiletries bag. It was a tank but was just a bit too large. I have also had the Osprey, the Eagle Creek, the LL Bean, the North Face, and several others. This Peak Design was pouch is perfect. I would not change a single thing about it. And if anything bad happens to mine, I will immediately buy it again. Because that wash pouch is so good, I have begun to buy other Peak Design products. Nothing that Peak Designs makes is cheap. But they stand behind all their products with a lifetime warranty. This is a perfect wash pouch. I am no longer searching for a perfect dopp bag. I have used this one for about a year and a half now and have traveled much with it. It is the perfect dopp bag. Period.
The Avajex Medium Travel Toiletry Bag is by far the best I've come across. It hangs straight down so you can hang it inside the shower with you without it pushing the curtain open, and nothing can dump out. It can be folded so that any section is on top if you need to put it on a counter. It's not too big, and reasonably priced. This thing with a matador bath towel clipped to the handle is a godsend if you ever need to use any kind of a public shower.
I have this wash pouch, used it on a 4 month wonder in 2019. It is big and I use minimal toiletries. So I pretty much used half of it for tech, worked a treat!
I think this is more for overland travel that allows for carrying full sized bars of soap, shampoo, Advil, tums, etc etc. Their mini wash pouch looks cool for one bag travel and smaller loads.
@@Nomads.Nation I bought the big version first, then the smaller, and I definitely think the small version is for most people (myself included), at least for men. Actually have just ended up using a clear plastic bag from the airport as my toiletry bag recently since there's zero work to do at the airport and it can usually hold all I need. A bit silly, but very minimalistic. Nonetheless I think I'll give the Aer Travel Kit 2 Ultra a try.
I do! Just tested it. It fits in the outside pocket where he said put razer (u can put razors in the inner magnet spot. You will just need to remove the head
You nailed it. I have the same sage green PD pouch and I love it. Though I use it for my wife and son's toiletries minus my wife's ladystuff. It helps keep things organized when traveling and I just keep it ready to go. Funny this weekend I was fiddling a bit trying to get the clippings out as you observed. And, you are right on about zipping over the pleats. I'll tell ya... the best soap bottles I've found are the Gravel silicon ones. They nest together and make better use of space being square instead of gotubes. In all the times I've traveled with it I haven't been able to use the hook. 8*( Arrr...
@@Nomads.Nation Yeah buddy, they have some really cool stuff. I'm always trying to refine my various kits and I landed solid on them. Another thing I did is order some much smaller pump and spray bottles on amazon so instead of carrying a whole 3 oz bottle, I'll bring like .5oz pump bottles for my family for a trip. Cuts down on weight and space for things like Argentyn 23 which we never go without (the gel amd spray) The stuff is magic.
The Nomatic Toiletry Bag is great! I actually just replaced it with the PD for most of my travel as it was a bit on the small side, but I agree that the PD is a little big also. Something somewhere between the two would be perfect. Awesome video as always, you guys deserve every sub you get!
@@Nomads.Nation yeah, shoulda given shout out to Robin, but not in this film... THE original Capt Hook for me was Cyril Ritchard in Peter Pan TV show "Peter PAN" 1960 (oops just aged myself) AND the Disney Capt Hook.... oh yeah, the Dopp kit was named after Charles Doppelt, who basically invented toiletry kit in 1919: a bit of gear history.. 😎

It’s still way too big for me but it obviously depends on how much you pack. Thanks for the comment!

100% agreed. Also great for traveling couples
Also for pretty girls who are trying to be modest and carry a light load for travel.

Thanks for the love dude and glad you found the review useful!
Aaron, have you had the chance to review the smaller version of this from PD?
Not yet, hopefully soon!

Hey Brandon, thanks for the comment as well as the Gravel recommendation - I've never heard of them before but they got some cool stuff

Can you fit an electric toothbrush?
might want to double check with PD customer support on that one, please let us know what they say!
Great video! Would you ever consider reviewing the Peak Design packing cubes?
absolutely!
Gave a thumbs up just for the bar of soap shot alone, lol
haha thanks dude! Our new intern snuck that in and I gotta say, it's freaking hilarious 😂
As crazy as it sounds, would you use this as a tech pouch too even though they already have a tech pouch?
It doesn’t sound too crazy, I’m sure it would totally work!
Wash Pouch Mini is coming
Thank god
if compact go for small wash pouch... easy. ;)
True dat
I'm a big fan of the North Face base camp travel canister
I'll check it out!

Thanks so much Nick!
It’s way too much space but when I travel with my wife we both use it and combined manage to use the space. Just for me though, too big.
I've gotten a lot of comments like this, totally makes sense that this is ideal for a traveling couple
There is a small one out now 😃
Thank god!
