All of that dancing....while singing... along with awesome choreography, Troop, you young gentlemen did a great job. I remember seeing this when you were first on the Arsenio Hall show (sooo many-many years ago). After all of these years, your performance still holds up gentelmen. Very well done Troop. Damn! Theses dudes should’ve made it a lot further. Troop was an awesome group. I must have been to young to not realize they had that much stage presence. Vocals were phenomenal with amazing breath control.
Wow, Troop was dancing HARD and singing LIVE at the same time. Nobody does this anymore. Most of the new singers lip-synch over pre-recorded live vocals and if they do sing live they have vocal enhancers going the whole time and they have background singers or the audience helping out for most of the show. If any of the new acts had to dance and sing live at the same time, they'd pass out!
Now I've had the pleasure of being apart of these young men life's they taught me so much. Without my fellas Real Rap there really was no one in there lead. Singing dancing, Groovin smooth lyrical soulful content classic music. You just don't hear great records like this anymore, and it's a damn shame how the radio plays the same 17- 20 records today. Sad thing but I'm glad I got the opportunity. To experience great song's of this magatude. The mid 80's & Early 90's where good times in life. Troop it up forever and eva
It's sad that only Arsenio gave Black acts like Troop, Jodeci, Tony Toni Tone, and more a platform. Not even Black Award Shows gave them any shine. And nowadays they have nothing but crap getting spotlight on their shows.
There was only a few black award shows. I only seen them on soul train awards I believe giving an award out. They were a little early for the awards performances of spread my wings and such.
