    For years we have advocated against the misinformation surrounding quick detailers in the auto detailing industry... so why are we so excited about this one?
    KAMIKAZE-Collection has created another fantastic, easy-to-use product for DIY detailers and professionals alike. This isn't just a quick detailer, it is actually three products in one! What makes this better than a $15 product you can find on Amazon? Listen to why Todd is grabbing for this as his new go-to maintenance product.

    Thanks for explaining how these products can work together. Is there any problem using Overcoat 3.1 (now 2.5 years old) with this Quick Detailer? Or should I move on to the latest version of Overcoat?

    I’ve tested this product on matte ppf, protected by a ceramic coating. It didn’t go off particularly well, I used three or four freshly clean microfibres towels, but still the streaking was heavy. Probably it was either me messing things up somehow, or this product is not suitable for matte and satin finishes. But I would love to hear about Kamikaze products for matte and satin finishes and ppf’s. Thanks for your work!

      Especially with darker matte/satin finishes (even with satin PPF), they can be very finicky regardless of what you're using with it. In many cases, you need to immediately follow your protection product with a damp towel just to even things out.

    Thanks for this video. I visit their website every now and then to see if they have new products and was curious about this one. The carbon nanotube aspect i would be curious to learn more about

      Glad you liked it. They're always working on something new, and many times the products are released and not even on their website yet. This one is a killer product for sure.

    To be fair to Kai and Kamikaze Collection, I never really viewed quick detailers or pigeon holed its name sake like the Average Joe. I have always viewed a Quick Detailer as a (very general) product post or concluding wash process that you use more frequently and is probably more user friendly than its more durable companion. I always knew and understood why you say, "don't use quick detailers" on ceramic coated cars. But at the same time, it does make sense to me for that reason.

    I am so tempted to start over with my new M5 from all Gyeon and switch to Kamikaze, also I just bought the QD and can i top it over Gyeon MOHS Evo?

    • @Esotericdetail
      @Esotericdetail  11 месяцев назад +1

      You shouldn't have any issues maintaining your Gyeon coating with this.

    I’m loving all the new products coming out from Kamikaze. You mentioned you changed up your personal detailing, any chance on a video on that? Also what would you name the new quick detailer?

    • @Esotericdetail
      @Esotericdetail  11 месяцев назад

      The biggest change for me is simply switching over to this on a regular basis as opposed to breaking out Waterspot Remover and a more durable coating maintenance product like Overcoat. This makes my process quicker and easier, then I can come back and do a full Overcoat once every month or two. As for the naming...good question!

    This is exactly what I need. I have a 10 month old black wrangler rubicon. Miyabi 2.0/ISM 3.0 on the paint. I used the new Overcoat and it made me go back to OC from Cosmic. The problem is, wash and blow dry the Jeep, move back in garage, open doors and everything up, blow and dry again and repeat until no drips. Come out the next day, boom little water spots from drips everywhere. I swear the Jeep holds some drips until I go inside then let’s them out, frustrating because I have to get a damp micro, wipe, and dry.
    This is perfect for those spots, and between OC applications. And I have a couple of those water spots you mentioned, when it’s dry you can’t see them, but when you wash you can see the outline or “shadow” of a spot.
    Can this be used on matte paint?
    Thanks Todd

      This definitely sounds like something that would work well in your situation. As for matte/satin paint, it should be fine, but as always with those finishes, you want to test on an inconspicuous spot first as they can be finicky at times.

    I really like using Polishangel Cosmic Spritz. Would this work on top of the Cosmic Spritz or should I use up the Cosmic Spritz and then move over to Kamikaze products/
    I appreciate your guidance.

    If I’m going to use one stand alone product that you offer, what would you suggest, Can Coat or this new product or something else, I have a new Tundra coming any day , army green, I have used your products in pass and recommend to people I know, great information videos, your a Teacher first and salesman last , Thanks for your Time

      If you’re only doing one, decide how often you want to do “one product”, and how to maintain it.
      Cancoat when maintained can last up to a year. I’ve gotten at least that maintaining it with overcoat every couple months, and a good decon wash every once and a while. Cancoat is easy, beads crazy, and lasts. Or go full coating and get a couple years. Again how much up front do you want to put in? Or, something like Overcoat or Cosmic Spritz, minimal effort, easy to do every other month, wash, blow dry most of the water off and wipe down with one of these done.
      Me personally, every one of my vehicles from new get all Kamikaze and Gyeon coatings inside and out, put the work in up front, and for a couple years it’s easy maintenance.

    • @Esotericdetail
      @Esotericdetail  11 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the kind words. Those are two completely different products with the Can Coat being used once and lasting for a long time. This is something that you want to use every wash, or every other wash.

    How does it do in the gloss enhancement area?

    • @Esotericdetail
      @Esotericdetail  11 месяцев назад

      If you're using it as a standalone, it will make a nice difference for sure. If using on relatively fresh coating, your gains should be smaller for sure since a thicker layer of (good) coating should have more gloss enhancing abilities than a quick spray product.

      There are way too many coatings out there to know that data point for sure. Having said that, it should be a good mix with just about everything.
