I think everyone is missing one important point here. Nawaz already bowled a above waist ball to Dinesh in that same over but he was out of crease so not considered as no ball. Again ball to Kohli was above waist and he was standing on the crease. May be ball was going down but umpires didn't consider that bcoz Nawas had already bowled a above waist ball to Dinesh.
To be honest this is the greatest game of t20 of this decade irrespective of the result and my heart almost stopped in the final over. Well played both teams

Agree that Pakistan played really well and were in winning position many times but the match had many turns which could have gone either way just like the toss. The best thing is let us not emphasise on the result only but the friendship & good spirit with which both teams played which I think is the real winner. I hope both countries show love & respect like they showed in the match and hopefully we can come together like before someday. Actually, Kohli appealed for the ball which dinesh karnik faced, as it was full-toss and above waist height, eventually kohli faced a similar delivery a ball after, hence he again asked for it being a no ball. If the umpire would have taken a review for the ball which DK faced, then India would have got a no-ball earlier than the one which was given to Kohli.

Umpire did not make the signal right away because he was waiting if the fielder catches it or not. Because if the fielder catches the ball in such scenarios, the decision rests with the third umpire. If the batter is not caught then it is the call of the on-field umpire. It might not be the law but it is a commonly accepted convention. In IPL there was a similar case with Rovman Powell.
Since am on the safer side,so pain for me but so much has happened in this match and the thrill just kept getting better. The cricket was at its best by both the teams. Really appreciate Pakistan for their performance but at the end of the days,winning matters the most and we won.Had such great time watching the match. ❤🎉🎉🎉

This was one of the best Knocks by any batsman from both sides in an India Pakistan clash ever considering the stage, the situation, the attack, the pressure. This is probably Pakistan's best bowling attack of all time. When Kohli was out of form, everyone who criticized him, forgot there is a calm before the storm. Axar Patel’s out was controversial but no one is talking about it. No ball controversy has gone too far - even technology was used, either decision could have been controversial. Also, there’s no such rule that the leg umpire has to take his hand right away when a waist-high no ball is detected.

With due regards to Wasim Bhai and Waqar Bhai at #ThePavilion panel, let me share my 2-penny understanding of the laws in cricket. Umpires cannot immediately raise a no-ball arm if the hit is going for a six (that could have been a catch as well at the boundary). If he does it immediately, the ball would be deemed as DEAD, and then umpire cannot give a six to the batsman. So, here the umpire delayed his no-ball signal until the action is completed - which was a SIX in this case. Same case is with Wide-ball signaling. Umpires wait until running or catching is complete - then only they signal a wide or a no-ball.
Yesterday we witnessed one of the thrilling finish ever, this is the beauty when these 2 teams play eachother.

If a batsman hits a ball and it goes for six but the umpires are unsure if it bounce before going over the rope or if he went plum, doesn't the umpires not call the option of asking the third umpire for help?? So why they couldn't have done the same thing??
All I was expecting from India at the end of 7th over is lessening the margin of defeat as much as possible. Never expected to have won the match after the early debacle. But Virat was truly clinical today.

Umpire decision is last decision such decisions from a human eye can't be 100 percent accurate always so umpire didn't do anything wrong .... There is review system available for this situation only if pakistani players were not satisfied they should have taken review ... When axar patel was stumped out that was also 50-50 decision it was not clear no indians started making that an issue.... These things are just excuses after losing

Harris Rauf might be good bowler but not a great bowler (e.g. Akram). If you compare Rauf vs Bhuvi or Arshadip without pace, you will know the skill level. Rauf has pace so depends on pace but Indian bowlers are more skilful

I think the umpire giving a no-ball after Kohli demanding definitely raises eyebrows. But going to third umpire is not an option they have. Also rules need a change regarding allowing batsmen to run after getting bowled on no-ball. Both teams played very well to produce a game that will be in memories for a long long time.

What matters is that the right call was made by the square leg umpire. It was clearly above waist high when the impact was made to the ball and the batsman was at the crease
Why are the experts not taking about Babar's captaincy mistake? Leaving the last over for a spinner was always difficult to defend
obviously it was babars mistake to leave the last one for part timer..
however when the umpires fails to instinctively call it a no ball they are already too late after the batman demands it.

Point of contact with ball and bat.. If batsmen is out of crease during that time it's shouldn't be a no ball and if batsmen is inside the crease and plays a shot and then if the point of contact of bat and ball is above the waist line, it should be a no ball..

1) Axar Patel runout - just watch Rizwan's reaction, he knows he dislodged stump with his hand before ball hits stump, Rizwan was not interested in appealing... it was not clear in footage whether ball hit first or hand hit first, therefore 3rd umpire should have awarded decision in favor of Axar Patel
2) Dinesh Karthik's stumping - Rizwan collected the ball in front of wickets, that was a no-ball

Whatever happened happened. At the end of the day, it wasn’t a one sided match but a nail biter. One team had to win and one lose.
The fact that both teams fought tooth and nail till the end makes them both winners.
If No ball was wrong then even Dinesh Karthik stumping out was wrong. Rizwan clearly collected the ball before the stumps and then did the stumping - which is not legal.

The charge is that the umpires gv the no ball decision late ., but had the umpire raised his arm instantly ., and if the shot was caught by the man in the boundary .. umpire would hv been then blamed for being hasty ..
