I just caught a Rayquaza so I'm claiming victory for the R round
if you had won the R round we would have tied. You would have gotten two points for R and one point for S instead of two points for S, meaning one extra point total and thus tying with me

Not only is them skipping R hilarious, the fact that none of them ever questioned the game ending by one point, which is impossible with 26 letters.
John also joked early in the video about Raichu and Mikey exclaimed “Raichu starts with R!”

It would be cool to see a version of this where the winner gets the difference in stat totals. Bigger wins, bigger swings.
I would like to see a version where every 6 Pokemon (A-F G-L) they catch they do a double battle against each other, as opposed to scoring on BST.
But they have to catch the first one they find or it must be within a time limit for each letter.

Because I tend to remember which Pokemon is actually strong (at least which one has more than 500 base stats). But not the ones that are weak.

For people who may not know, there is a static Obstagoon on round two if you surf across the lake. Unless your Pokémon has to come from the wild area, it would count for O :)

honestly this in a multilingual perspective could be cool so for example you and a german Poketuber with a german game and each one catches based in the starting letter in their language. doesnt work well with Japanese/chinese/korean I'd guess but otherwise interesting I'd say, or even more hilarious would be you and pokemen7 both picking a language that's not native to yourselves and do the challenge in the same style (but you can have a list of pokemon names in the language along with an image and/or the english name.

@@whimsicalstray They way I chose to do it is that I count the letter of the final evolution. So if I caught a Weedle for example, that would count as "B" bc it's final evolution is Beedrill.
I think if you count the points total (from the base stats),it could make some nice finales instead of just counting 1 point for the winner of each round.
