Demolish a park to build a mansion - Bigwallet LP 😂
They are becoming the new Langraabs xD
Maybe they can bulldoze one of their older homes and backfill with a park on that lot instead. In exchange for the land donation it can be called Bigwallet Community Park or something like that.
This is also the same save where James built a massive oil rig to pollute sulani so honestly I’m not surprised by demolishing the park lol

Hopefully the rental since that lot is a little bigger plus I can't really see him using the rental in the future but he could use a bunch of the new packs and update features to build a sweet park with more fun activities so when his Sims go out maybe they can use it for dates or something!

Logistically it's hard to put a hot run on a balcony (we have one at our cabin and the balcony is having lots of structural issues rn) but this is the sims, so who cares?

I really hope you do do a dinner party for Reginald, Kevin, Sydney and Ava seeing as they're neighbours now. Which honestly, that's such a flex for Reggie and Kev. Buy up the park next to your house and build a giant mansion that dwarfs yours 😂

Omg i remember Reginald started out with absolutely nothing as a teenage boy with no social skills at all, and look at him now!! He has a family and a huuuge home 😊 Its just the Sims but im still happy for him!
To think our boy has gone from having nothing but an uncomfortable bed on an empty lot to this beautiful mansion and an enviable life. 💜

Just a tip, I would lock the sneak out windows for everyone except the one who owns the bedroom. When I use them, the parents would choose to go around the house and climb up the ladder instead of going through the bedroom door. Beautiful build!!
yeah locking these windows is a must, one of children in my save had this window in her room and some random adults were using it to get into the house :/

Since you moved to the park lot, you could bulldoze one of the old houses and build your own improved park for Copperdale there.

You should definitely get a Butler or have a maid come clean. Also, the empty space in Reginald and Kevin’s room could have the computer desk there for a small office with book cases. I think their should be a third kid too.
@@BengtBagels Well, there were some recent bugs where Sims were just regularly mean to one another for no reason (not traits and maybe not moods) so that might be why lol. Personally, I can see it though. Kev used to be a Recycle Deciple and now he's changed so much, his partner is famous, he was never satisfied with his job, and perhaps he feels like they rushed into getting the kids a bit but he still loves them and focuses on them. Now he has a giant house and perhaps he's just stressed and wants things done just right so he's micro-managing with micro-aggression instead of his old aggression. Butler would bear the brunt of it since they'd live there with him but the maid gets to go home at the end of the day so Kev doesn't feel like he has to keep it together in front of anyone? 🙃

Also, I think the hot tub should go on the top balcony and the onsen where the hot tub is now 😋

Since you got rid of a park you could remove the old home and replace it with a new park. Maybe even add a small teen hangout area so Addison and other teens have more places
In master bedroom you can put an office, and actually put a lot of junk in attic, like Christmas tree, decoration boxes... I didn't saw if you put a drawing table anywhere and it's part of the creative aspiration for kids. Also, you can put something like open theater (or whatever is called) for kids in backyard so kids can ask their friends for hangouts...
Would love to also see the family get a little makeover as well, maybe add multiple everyday outfits for Kev and Reginald?
Can't wait to see how wacky the house becomes over time.
Just judging by the thumbnail, I can already say that this house is much more fitting for the family, and it looks great too.
Reg and Kev should start a hobby of hitting the weekly flea markets to find eclectic pieces to fill their home the rest of the way. And maybe the empty space in their bedroom can be an author’s nook for Reg and a little knitting spot for Kevin so they can relax together doing their hobbies 😊
Storyline wise, Reginald (given his handiness and work connections) could've had this house's planning permission for renovation sorted in the background, which is why he and Kevin stayed in their old house for so long. They sold the old house for a bit of extra cash towards the pool house, choosing to temporarily rent for a couple of months while the final touches were put in
Since the park is gone this can be the “fun house” where all the kids prefer to hang out. Love the look of the Onsen where the hot tub is! That said the hot tub needs to be there somewhere-perhaps on the private balcony off of the main bedroom? Imagine relaxing in that at the end of a long day, taking in the view and unwinding with your partner. Perfection.
Great idea! There's a Teen Neighborhood lot trait, and a Party House trait that could help that. I wish there were a Kids Hangout trait too.
@@JessicaKennedy367 That would be a very useful lot trait. Maybe the club system could work as a substitute? Not a perfect solution, but a good way to build the kids’ friendships that would help for the school aspect of the LP. Skills, too, to help with the child aspirations.
you should demolish the rental house and turn it into a park and spa or something. Kevin could go with the kids and do his yoga stuff while the kids play in the park, I think that would be pretty cute
Especially with the kitchen I’m feeling echo’s of Lady Bigwallet❤ Trying to imagine casual, Hawaiian shirt loving Kevin making omelettes in his signature love heart boxers in this grand house 😄 Great mix of fancy old money and incorporating their personalities thus far, love it! An in-law casita is an excellent idea for Reg and Kev to relocate when the next generation moves front and center. Looking forward to watching the home evolve with the family!

Kevin gets a knitting area and a yoga studio. Reggie needs a writing room/office! You could put it in the extra space in the bedroom or convert that more formal room if you didn't want to use the potential third bedroom! (Also the microwave will be good if they get another toddler.)

Rather than take up space with a new house at the back for them when they are elders. You could create a granny annex above the garage

I love the house so much! Reginald is probably my favorite character, he started from nothing and now he’s at the top of the world. I think maybe he should open a new park somewhere for the community since he is such a looked up to person. Enjoyed the video, as always!
I love the idea of building a guest house in the back for them when they are older and continuing to use the home! It’s like they’ve worked so hard to get this family home and the children want to continue living there to keep the home in the family.

The smaller home on the same lot didn't work out so well for the Cottage Living LP. Better to have a grandparent suite in the same house.
I also recommend putting a small platform next to the door in the garage. Having to step down right at the door can be glitchy.

I think that you should use that empty space in their bedroom as an office area. Reginald needs a space for his writing. It would also give him a place to showcase all of his diplomas and awards.
Maybe you can allot a bit of the attic space, or the spare room (if you decide not to have another kid) to a butler. This house is huge, and the family is going to be leaving plates everywhere.

Since the park is gone, Reginald should turn one of his previous homes into a little park (possible a date spot for the next generation as teens). Also maybe move Sidney and Ava into something bigger (maybe the rental) as they like to compete with Kevin and Reginald.
I like to use the card table - kids, teens, and adults can all play, builds relationships with 4 sims at once, builds a little logic, and unlike Don't Wake the Llama a card game only lasts for a finite period of time. P.S. If you want to hide the sneak out windows on the inside, you can put a curtain in front of them - sims can walk through curtains.
This makes me so excited for the next part of the let's play. I love the rags to riches struggle, but the family episodes that come later on are some of the best James does.

I think this is perfect for the continuation of the family too. Like I can see Addison and breanne living here as adults with their families.
I sure hope the basketball bug has been fixed… I’m not sure if you know this but for a long time if you had a basketball hoop on your lot your sims would constantly autonomously use it! They would cancel interactions just to shoot some hoops. I haven’t tested it in a while but also haven’t seen it being mentioned on the patch notes.
Yah, I think this is still an issue, but it's not as annoying if the basketball hoop is far away and there are lots of other items on the lot. Sims tend to do it less if the lot is enormous because they favor closer activities to where they are. If it becomes a problem, you could always fence in the entire thing and lock the gate unless you specifically want them to play.

Did you know that hosting parties actually gets you like 2-3 levels of charisma for every sim in ur household
2 days ago my sim hosted a party and jumped up 3 skill point when it was over. I thought it was bugged! That’s so neat!

The second floor hallway looks like Addison was spray painting a rectangular piece of cardboard with black paint and got some on the floor. lol They should hire Hazel to design rooms in the future whenever they decide to make changes.
You can totally rationalize the house the family is currently living in. I figure that Reginald and Kevin sold the small house, and then while their dream home was being built, lived in a rental for a little while. Makes total sense!

I'm absolutely for getting a third child! It could be one that's already a toddler/child also, but it feels fitting that they'd move into this massive house to be able to expand the family even more

I think the house actually does fit in despite not quite fitting in architecturally. In small town America, there's always a couple of families with full-on mansions (or McMansions, depending on the area). It actually reminds me of the small town I grew up in! Lots of small, single story houses that were often housing for the "help" and then a few giant, luxurious mansions.
I love this house!! You should definitely play with it with the next gen.

I agree with putting the onsen outside, and adding in a little wall with an outdoor shower beside it between one of the sets of columns, then putting the hot tub on the outside balcony and a study area for Reginald in their bedroom. Also maybe another rocking chair in there or the hallway, just in case Kev is on the second floor, so he still has a dedicated room but he won't have to go downstairs just to enjoy his knitting. That would fill up the space nicely! You could also add a small bar and a grill in somewhere just in case they throw a party! Maybe near the pool area? Overall, I'm loving this house! I recommend adding the Seasons decorations box and a christmas tree upstairs as storage, simply because you'll want those eventually and that's a good temporary place for them, but also don't forget the thermostats! Definitely add one on each floor (even the attic, just in case) and the sprinkler system and fire alarm since you still have the kid's science lab. 😆

I know! I think I found the Bigwallets when Bob did Rags to Enrichment. I try to play catch up between let's plays, but I'm only up to Dine out. I'll get there eventually.
James, you've used a lot of the "All Square" wall texture. For tiles with doors / arches / windows find and the matching "I've been framed" swatch and use that.
I love the way you decorate kid's rooms and play areas! They always look so unique and cute and imaginative!
I gotta say, Deli and Little Dica's packs have converted me to a cc fan. The updated wall paint colors alone are so good!

This build is pretty much perfect. Excited to see them move I'm pretty annoyed with the weird partial walls around the shower bathtub in the rental. Every time that was on the screen I would just yell why!

This is much better, this feels like a well rounded house they can grow into so they don’t have to keep moving. I definitely agree with other comments saying you should turn their old house into a park when they move into this one to replace the park you got rid of to build new house.
The style of the house with the shape, the bricks, black and white accents make me think of sims 1. It has strong sims 1 vibes with the balcony as well as the pool...! Love it.
I think the idea of Kevin and Reginald living in a separate house on the property is a great idea they could be active grandparents in the next generation. Then the playroom would really be put to great use. No nanny needed. Love this build and your gameplay style. I like the onsen next to the pool. You have plenty of room for a nice size office. A music room. I look forward to the story development and how this home developes.
