O what sweet joy and relief to trust every promise that's "Thus saith the Lord" ! Heavens and earth shall fall but not one speck of his word. Thank you for this golden hymn. God Bless You Dear Sis.
John! So glad to hear from you again! Amen - we must trust what Jesus tells us. Faith is believing He will do what He says he will! May God be closely with you this week!
I do disappoint myself at times by not trusting Him. But it is so sweet when I do. It is probably the desire to do it always you hear in the song! May we all strive for complete trust in Him - as He has promised to help us!
This was lovely, friend!!! I've known this sweet hymn since childhood, but had forgotten how some of the verses went. Verse 3 stood out to me: "Yes, 'tis sweet to trust in Jesus, just from sin and self to cease". How often I look towards my own problems (even if very serious), and dwell on them instead of looking towards Jesus Who is trustworthy. Thank you for another beautiful video! God bless you!
It is impossible for us to cease sin and self ourselves. Jesus is the only one who can help us and we just need to remember to ask and accept the help! That's my biggest challenge! I can be so independent and He wants us to be dependent. Please, Lord, help me to trust because I know I am not enough on my own to get through this life! God bless you, my friend!
I was feeling very much in limbo this morning and the visual / audio of this hymn has nourished my soul. God bless you for these words, presentation and messaging gifts shown here.
Praise God for His blessings! I am so happy to hear the music has helped you. It is meant to be calming and encouraging, so I am so blessed it is doing those things. So sorry for my late reply. I somehow missed this one and quite a few others. May God help you to feel nourished always in His love.
Wow! Just came across your videos this morning and am so blessed by the way you sing these precious old hymns with such conviction. The way you sing reflects the feelings in my heart. Too many people sing these songs with a "commercial, show biz" flair. The videos you pair with them are wonderful too!! Thank you again so much and may God bless your ministry! ❤
Praise God you resonate with this style! I also do not like flair and performancy singing that draws attention to the singer and not the meaning of the words. It is so easy for me and other singers to make it about ourselves. It’s a serious temptation! Hence the anonymous nature of the channel and myself not visually appearing on here! Nature is much better to look at anyway and draws the mind to Jesus. May God bless this week!
Gospel music connects me with our wonderful Savior Jesus Christ
Amen! May we listen to songs that draw us closer to Him. God bless!
