DooM is about annihilating everything in the room DooM Eternal is about annihilating everything in the room as fast as possible Ultrakill is about annihilating everything in the room with as much style as possible and then quake is if you took those principles and said "ok but what if multiplayer and more modern??"
One song is called "The only thing they fear is you"... "they" being the demons and "you" is, of course, Doomguy. It says a lot when the forces of Hell are so afraid of one guy that all they could do originally is seal him off because they couldn't kill him and when he is free, they collectively shit their pants in a panic.
Hugo Martin is such a cool dude. Watching videos of interviews with him and him interacting with fans really does show that he GENUINELY loves video games and video game design. He’s like a hardcore gamer that just so happens to be in charge of the game design
Demon kid: Daddy! The Doom Slayer’s under my bed! Demon Dad: Calm down son. Let me just check- Master Chief: (hiding under bed) Hello. Demon Dad: (Grabs kid and runs away screaming) Honey, run! He’s here! Demon Mom: Who? Dad and Kid: DOOM SLAYER!! All: (Scream and run away) Cortana: (laughs) Oh my god! That was hilarious! Master Chef: Told you. Next house? Cortana: Yeah.
Doom (2016) and Eternal have been the greatest reboots in video game history. And Russian Badger really nailed it. Love your reactions. Can you guys do a Pokemon cutscenes or lore or gameplay sometime?
Wouldn't they technically be continuations of the original games rather than reboots, considering the Slayer himself is canonically *the* Doomguy, when you think about it?
@@dj11o9er I don't know if there are any evidence of the new games being continuation of the old ones, but it's usually not considered a sequel when they are made after so much time.
Except the part about slow motion rune. It's useless if you're able to actually hit things in this game and there is no way you trade any other rune just for a fancy helping little slow-mo.
Hey guys! Speaking about Doom - you skipped one really damn badass but short cinematic - the Doom Eternal Opening Cinematic (by Game Clips And Tips). It is THE cutscene you see as a player when launching the game and it is just MADE to immerse you to this brutal story even if you don't know anything about the lore and it delivers. And for the best effect, please watch on high volume ;)
Badger with his friends can be summed up with "I've been flashbanged with words". I strongly recommend his Halo Reach video simply titled "ARMORLOCKARMORLOCKARMORLOCK" etc.
Literally Too Angry to Die ? Reminds me also of Darth Sion. 3950 years before the events of Luke Skywalker and stuff.. Darth Sion was a human and a Sith, and his most striking feature was undoubtedly his body, marked by numerous broken bones and scars, which could only be held together by his hatred, his pain, the dark side, and the will to follow his masteress. Any other creature, even any force-capable creature with a similar build, would succumb to death from these injuries...So kinda "immortal" just like Deadpool.
Did you know that the doom slayer had a wife and a kid? Both of them lost their lives. It’s so tragic, but man is it satisfying, killing demons. Raise hell.
Since you guys have both watched a handful of Badger’s stuff, and have played the Insomniac Spider-Man games, you might enjoy his video on the first one, Spicy Sarcastic Superjerk lol
*Yess,* been waiting for this one. Hope you do Badgers 40k vids next. His Space Marine one is entirely singleplayer, but the one following, Deathwing is split between single and multiplayer, and they're both some of Badgers best content imo. You guys should check out Zero Master's Master Level Ultra Nightmare videos if you want to see a god-level player beat the hardest levels in this game on the hardest difficulty, it's pure insanity
"i am the war" is honestly the best explanation of Doom's gameplay, its not about surviving, its about absolutely destroying
reminds me of "im joining the war on drugs, on the side of the drugs"

I highly recommend Russian Badger's video "Tomahawking Spiders for Trespassing"
Oh my god, YES

Don't forget the first two Wolfenstein remakes as well
@@devinburns2535 I agree, they were good too, but they kind of got a little out of hand after that. Let's hope Doom Year Zero is awesome too.

Again, it is nice to see your channel growing! I'm always happy to see you both react!
Probably one of my favorite videos Badger has done.

Badger is funnier in a group, but he can still put on a great show all by himself
