Great video these boilers are a nightmare I remember speaking to Baxi Tech who told me when these boilers are working correctly there the best boiler in the world but when there not there the worst 🤦♂️🤣
I have the Duo-Tec. I live in the US. It looks like mine was installed completely differently than everything I see in the videos online. My pressure valve is on the backflow pipe to the top right of the unit. The filter sits between the valve and the backflow. This past winter the system has lost pressure multiple times. A few days ago I woke up to no heat because it lost pressure entirely. I can’t find evidence of a leak anywhere that could be causing it. A friend of mine who works in HVAC told me to leave the pressure valve open and that it shouldn’t over pressurize. Everything I read online says not to do this and that the pressure could get too high. I have experimented leaving it open for several hours and the pressure gauge never rises beyond the green 1 bar. It will either be at the top or middle of the green 1 bar. I have also noticed that the gauge reads lower pressure when the unit is heating, and higher when it is cooling down and shuts off. I thought it was supposed to be the opposite: higher pressure when heating.
Thanks for putting this together. These boiler interfaces are just not user or engineer friendly, which is a shame, as they aren’t bad boilers. But for any engineer that doesn’t work with these interface systems on regular basis, they are totally daunting. A perfect example why something like the Ideal Vogue gets it’so right. Similar hardware, but with a user friendly interface that engineers and, users, understand. The Siemens interface isn’t much better on Elco boilers, for example. Nothing wrong with the nuts and bolts stuff, just impractical for majority.

I'm desperately trying to change the settings for the new season, no need of heating anymore and I can't get my head around all the valves, water boiler and gas boiler... 1. Could you confirm that the tap water icon is to heat water, therefore in spring/summer, it's the only icon that should be on (when the central heating is off (underfloor heating off))? 2. If my understanding I correct, the heated water will go into the water boiler? 3. What is the typical temperature to set the water icon? 50°c? That seems hot... 4. Regarding the radiator icon, it's on when we need to heat the house. Is it normal that it burns gas 24/7 ? 5. What's the ideal temperature? Thank you very much....
I found a Powermax 155x on my journeys a short while ago, servicing, not a complex boiler but if your team could do a nuts & bolts Al it would be much appreciated. Carry on the great work, worthy ambassadors, for the trained & supervised. Knowledge is power 💰💰
I have a baxi nera-tec combi ga range and it kept showing 133 flame falling as this was a ongoing problem fitted wanted to fit new gas valve. I was not convinced it was the problem as when it did fire up it had a excessive amount of gas so he exchanged the igniter 4 months ago and problem came back intermittently. He came back 5 days ago with a price of £300 for gas valve that was not covered by my boiler cover .I also had a leak only when boiler went to 133 code. I got up at 4am this morning to restart the boiler and didn't turn room light on. On pressing restart ignition lead lit up arcing in several places. On contacting original fitter that fitted the boiler he told me there was only two boiler models he had come across with this problem one was the neta-tec and just one Ideal model as leads were not well insulated . He said put extra insulation tap on ignition cable and it worked straight away .

After turn on electric switch I can only hear the sound from boiler but this display isn’t getting on and no heating and hot water are working atm. Problem is after turning on electric plug switch I can only hear a sound from boiler but display is not getting turn on. I can’t see anything on display . This GA boiler commonly fail with very high C.O in medium rate. Could be either PCB , Gas valve or electrode? but if the PCB is on the old software, BAXI say it cant be repaired and BAXI need to be paid on fixed price repair to upgrade their software and do the fix. Thanks for this video.
Hi Allen I’m changing my boiler and thinking of going with a combi, I’ve bin quoted for a vaillant ecofit pure 25kw but I’ve bin looking at a viessman Vito dens and they’ve released a new one in April which is hydrogen ready. One plumber says I don’t need a storage tank in the attic and the other plumber says I do, My wife is worried if she’s having a shower and somebody flushed the toilet the temp changes. Would you go for viessman over vaillant
Hi Alen, we had some conversation in the past in regard to DIY work on gas installations. Here is what GSIUR says: 2(1) 52 "For the purpose of GSIUR, 'work' includes do-it-yourself activities, work undertaken as a favour for friends and relatives, and work which there is no expectation of reward or gain, eg voluntary activity for charities. This means that anyone carrying out such work must have the necessary competence, as required by regulation 3(1). However, membership of an HSE-approved class of persons (under regulation 3(3)) is required only by business carrying out gas fitting work."
Total rubbish from the GSIUR necessary competence = someone who is trained or has been trained but not a member of say gas safe. Thanks what I was told by gas safe when I was having a chat.
@@ebebop Gas Safe is a LLP private company not a government body, they have no power to make the law... the same manufacturers, what kind of power manufacturer have to say that is illegal to install boiler without being gas safe registered? This is how morons "make" the law, mixing industry regulations with the law. Do you need to be "Brake Safe Register" registered to fit brake pads in your car??? Gas Safe Training manual page A2 - The British Standards, UP documents and the Gas Unsafe Situations Procedure are not legal documents and are not the law. It is not a legal requirement for homeowners who do not rent out their property to have an annual boiler service. However, they have a duty of care to ensure their gas appliances are safe, and not liable to cause harm to themselves or others. The same you can say about dog. Dog owner has a duty to bla, bla, bla... If you want make money, establish Dog Safe Register LLP or LTD... and every dog owner will pay you for free...

Perfect lesson should add position of each valve underneath! Also do one on resetting gas meter after it's been shut off😁

They aren’t a bad boiler. Just a lot of engineers don’t understand the parameters, so they don’t get serviced properly
Ive just replaced a PCB in one of these. Its fllashing E321. The error code isnt even in the service manual (Megaflo2 15) ?? Any ideas??
