    Very impressive, I usually don't do well with Motiv balls maybe I will order one can always give it to my husband.

      It’s funny you say that because I normally don’t do well with the Motiv line either. However since the hustle X-Ray looked so good I thought to myself. Hmmm maybe the cheaper ball might roll better 🤷🏽‍♂️

    So to discuss your thoughts on value (I am not on staff, I've thrown Motiv exclusively since 2014). The Max Thrill/Top Thrill/Thrill line has always provided more performance than it's price point would suggest. So the Max Thrill has a very similar RG (.02 difference) and Diff (.007 difference) to the X-Ray that you were talking about so be careful about balling down to it, if your layouts are the same you are asking a lot of the cover stock to be that drastically different in ball performance when their numbers are so close to one another. Both balls are marketed for light to medium oil (Max Thrill more so for light oil).
    Now you said why would someone buy a Raptor Fury at $205 when you get the "same" performance out of a $120 bowling ball. On a house shot I wouldn't, especially if it's a low volume high friction surface. That being said the Raptor has a 5+ inch flare potential whereas the Max Thrill only has a 4+ inch flare potential, additionally the Raptor Fury is designed for High Volume Oil (more absorption of oil). It also has the strongest symmetrical core that Motiv has in any line. You lay both balls out the same and put them both on fresh you will have moved left (as a right hander), increased speed, or both more with the Raptor Fury to stay ahead of transition in a three game block then you would with the Max Thrill. In fact you may not have to move at all with the Max Thrill due to it being "less aggressive" (cover stock weight block) than the Raptor Fury. One or two shot comparisons with both balls on fresh I can throw them right on top of each other, the longer the game goes, and depending on the number of people on the lanes, equipment used, etc. the harder the Raptor Fury is going to break on the back end or should I say the stronger the move will be causing the user to change lines, break points, hand position, etc. You don't run into that with the Thrill lines moves are always minimum with the Thrill(s).
    Numbers on the Raptor Fury vs the Max Thrill
    RG 2.48 v 2.55
    Diff .055 v .037
    Heavy Oil v Light Oil
    You can make a heavy oil ball work on light oil for a while but making a light oil ball work on heavy oil is literally asking the ball to move 3 to 5 boards and hoping on carry using straight up 15 finishing on 20 if you have no revs/hand and you are using out of box surfaces. And that is why you buy a $200 ball over a $120 ball, performance potential. Now EJ, AJ, Smallwood, and AA all made the Max Thrills look like a beast this last season, most people don't throw like them.
    I like what you do kid, and I call my red and blue Superman as well, because it bails me out late in blocks when the heads are blown, but the blue and yellow will always be the Minon.

      My good brother, I really like you. You get 100% of what I was saying, and when I was talking about people purchasing them, it was for the house shot. All of my reviews are for the basic house shot because that’s what most people see. My ball choices for a sports shot vary a Wei bit. I’m really impressed with the Motiv line, so balls I like more than other, but that’s to be expected. I’m not just somebody making videos I’m a certified coach through way of Kegel training center. While at the same time, I’m certified to drill as well, so I get it. It’s refreshing to see someone else get it as well. Welcome to the channel, and you might not always like my opinions, however your feedback is always welcome. The podcast is about to come back in the upcoming weeks. make sure you jump on.

      @@badbadbowling101 Hi Coach C- just found you online today and like what I see. Have a question- I'm a lefty, 72yo, with slow ball speed(12-13). I throw mostly the Pitch Black because I can control it so much better than strong resin balls. Only problem with PB is I leave more than my share of 7 pins. Looking for another controllable ball that might be a little better at carrying the corner pins. Would the Max Thrill solid be a good choice? Or would you recommend something else? Thanks in advance!

    • @badbadbowling101
      @badbadbowling101  Месяц назад +1

      @edd-vp5qh well I would say that the pitch black is deflecting cause 7 pins. I would think you need something really clean just like the max thrill solid.
