A bit of historical revisionism going on here. With various groups, parties, and individuals all desperate to claim some of the glory. For example, the Communist Party of Great Britain. The only problem is, not only did British communist's actively work to undermine the war effort against nazism (as ordered to do so by the kremlin-at a time when nazi Germany and Soviet Russia were allied), but they also attempted to cover up the vast crimes carried out by Stalin (no doubt they still do). In fact, I'm guessing that many of these groups would have been crying 'No More War!' in the 1930's, for the exact same reasons as they do now.

Maybe because the sight of seeing anarchists, communists, and hard left socialists waving their flags about condemning the horrors of fascism is a bit sick making considering the vast crimes of their own political history.
Awesome Avenger except it wasnt just the hard left.... , jews, trade unionists , Christians,Muslims, 20000 people turned out from the community to stand up to the fascists. ... I dont know if you know what fascists were up to in europe at the time .... but it wasn't just the " hard left " who despised them.

Surely, if any of this were to mean anything at all they should've been driven away just as the fascists were all those years ago?
