Situations like this should never have happened and should be a catalyst for positive change on a level playing field. It definitely should never be forgotten!

You mean burn down working people's businesses, pubs burnt down, shops seriously looted. Injustice is not a excuse for more injustice.

@@crown9413 I meant that ANY social injustice should be remembered, regardless of colour, religion or any other type of intolerance. I do not and never have said that I condone the violence or damage done to property. Maybe I could have worded it better before. The situation that started this mess is what I was referring to. The violence was not.

The New Cross fire was an accident. Someone spilt some acetone on the carpet. Later someone dropped a lighter which set the acetone on fire. Someone threw a bucket of water on the fire and it spread. About a hundred people partying all night and no fire fighting equipment in the house: It was an accident waiting to happen.
The man seen waving his arms in front of the house was trying to get people out, but was beaten back by the heat. If someone had firebombed the party someone would have said something by now after 43 years.
Never forget this tragedy. If you are having a party make sure there is a fire extinguisher in the kitchen and living room.

There is a Ugandan activist by the names Fred Kajjubi Lumbuye who was abducted from his house at night on the 3rd of August 2021 in Turkey.
Fred has been missing for 3 weeks.pple have searched for him all over Turkey but all in vain. Turkey authority r not interested in this case wander why???
Fred might be hidden in the ugandan embassy in Turkey
We dont want Fred to be murdered as the case of Jamal Kashoogi who was murdered in saudi Arabia embassy in Turkey.
    Plse Activists, Human rights
UN assist in searching for Fred.

Really is a shame the youth have forgotten, in those days it was the authorities, police and the National Front.....40 years later it's ourselves 🤔

The history hasn’t been forgotten. It’s been buried. And black people of that generation have been amongst the pall bearers because of their failure to keep the history alive with their children and grandchildren.

That's rubbish. It all happened when the NHS was created and hundreds your lovely people came to Britain to work for NHS. Don't call your people black as you are the same as we pinky's. You are equal to us and you have names . We should call each by name not by colour

You really want the poor BBC narrator to look at each protestor's face from a 1980s video, search their faces from a database of 60 Million British (somehow), memorize them and list them all for 2 or more hours just to please you?
If that isn't what you want, I don't know wth you're demanding. Or they could just use the word "black" and do it way easier. And no, it's not offensive, their skin is literally black, just as Anglo-Saxon is white and calling them white ain't offensive.
