I used to have PSTV, I got evidence for a diagnostic when I had an episode and run to emergency room where I got a eletrocardiograma. 2 years later I got a ablation done that fixed my problem! I haven’t had any episode since. This video is perfect and explains exactly how it feels
I had svt could never stop it myself always going to the ER every other month . Well I tried everything. But recently after 8 hours I fixed it myself. I just had my legs up on the wal so the blood flowed to my head and relaxed for about two hours. My heart did a simple population and fixed itself . And it didn't feel as bad as the shot they give to stop your heart at the ER. I didn't even notice it fixed till I checked my pulse . I have a lot of svt and you shouldn't have anxiety about it. A lot of the time your svt is due to some swelling around the heart making it hard for blood flow . Sometimes it's just water retention. Just relax your not going to have s heart attack . I even sleep while on Svt. So relax your body did it for a reason and can in do it without hurting you .as long as you can get blood flow . I recommend trying what I did just lay down listen to music and prop your feet up and take a nap. Put some music on . Good luck . I won't be going to the ER next time.
I’ve lived with this condition thinking it was stress and caffeine related cos that’s what the dr at ER told me when I first experienced it about 6 or 7 yrs ago (I’m 41 now)...I’m referring to aggressive palpitations. When it happened again on the 1st Oct the ER dr told me I have an arrhythmia of the heart and will need a cardiac ablation. The procedure was performed by a cardiologist specializing in electrophysiology yesterday. Everything went well and now I’m back home. So grateful...from South Africa 🇿🇦
Paloma Mayrany Every time I have an attack it feels like I’m having a heart attack it’s extremely frightening. Nowadays I have approximately seven plus attacks per day they can last anytime between 5 minutes and 3 hours. Whenever I walk I always collapse and sometimes pass out so, I have been stuck at home for around 3 months now. These attacks began September last year I went to the ED when I had my first attack they said that I had to see cardiology in two weeks they gave us an appointment time for 8 months time since then the attacks are happening a lot more at least the cardiology appointment is at the end of this month. My GP got me to do a holter and it showed an extra electric pathway is causing SVT. I really hope that I can permanently fix this issue by getting the ablation. It’s extremely hard to deal with this although I will reach out to heart kids Australia they can hopefully link me up to people that are going through something similar.
@@NikolaSimetic Well iv been getting better slowly over the years, I try to go for a walk once a day, I drink alot of water and try to eat as healthy as I can avoiding anything with too much salt in it. I stop drinking coffee and smoking and sleep when I feel like sleeping. (I can do this because Im on disability now) All of this combined has sped up my recovery time but is slow non the less. As im sure many can relate to, Doctors dismiss this as a stress disorder so sadly getting a doctor to work with me has been a no go, ending in me simply giving up on them all together.
It happened to me for the first time at 12 years old. I bent to lift something from the floor when my heart started beating like crazy, I began to take a few deep breaths and it was gone. Couple of times after that I was diagnosed with PSVT. The doctors didn't forbid me to train football and to do what other kids do. I was never scared because it always stop after a couple of seconds, sometimes minutes if I am already at high heart rate. For me it doesn't depend on my tireness. Sometimes I could be tired af but it wouldn't start and sometimes I could be very relaxed and then it starts. There is no rule. I noticed that every time it happens I did some sudden move, like bend to the ground or jump but really fast, never had happened in slow rythm. I'm in my twenties playing football, doing cardio and gym and I'm enjoying it. Yes it still happens sometimes, but rarely. I usually sit or lay and take couple deep breaths. Then I always feel 2 beeps around my ear and it stops and I continue to f.e. play football completely normal. Maybe it's corelated to low blood pressure which I have. I monitored my heart and I intentionally caused the heart to beat like this. 203 bpm. To conclude, my advise is to see a doctor but never be scared. It's probably nothing 😁
I don't use drugs , smoke , drink and little caffeine use. Went into SVT (154BPM) yesterday first time in my life and went to ER. 63 going on 64. After Ativan .5mg IVP , it converted in about an hour to my healthy usual 52-54 BPM.
I was 5 when mine started and I got diagnosed at 10. My heart rate goes up to 300 beats per a minute and I had to take daily medication, and stay out of athletic activities. This affected my life very badly for a long time, but to anybody who is also suffering with this, I have this too, I understand how bad it hurts, your not alone so please don’t worry!
I have been dealing with this for years. In the emergency room too many times to count-I know the local EMT by name. Had so many tests and seen many cardiologists with no answers. My new cardiologist suggested this as a possibility. THIS FITS ALL MY SYMPTOMS PERFECTLY! I broke down while watching this.
I wish I had seem this video a couple months ago. I was recently diagnosed and I also have been diagnosed with graves disease. Everything in the video confirmed it all. I’m 23.
This was my case. I was diagnosed with SVT and hyperthyroid last November. I had an episode (it still remains the worst episode yet. My heartbeat was close to 200 bpm) and was directly submitted to the ICU (that was where I was also diagnosed with hyperthyroid).
I’m 18, and was diagnosed yesterday after an emergency room visit. At first my family just thought it was stress since I just started college and I’m job hunting, but that was unfortunately not the case. I’m talking to a doctor in an hour about treatment and medication for it. Seriously considering lifestyle changes like less soda.
As someone who’s had it since I was about 10 or 11 years old I know changing your diet can definitely help reduce the episodes. Cut completely out the soda, chocolate, alcohol, smoking and spicy foods which is my biggest challenge, and definitely try to reduce your stress levels and get better sleep. Also try to get some sort of exercise. If all else fails theres medication you can take daily like Atenolol which is where I’m at, but a lot of people don’t want to do that so they end up getting an ablation which from what I heard is pretty safe. Good luck bro.
Yep. I’ve been getting this for the past 3 years. Can feel it when it’s about to happen. Feels like electrical misfiring in my heart or single contraction. Happens daily; in episodes sometimes. This birth my anxiety and added on stress. Average 79-83 BPM
Abena Walker This all started for me 18 months ago. I was just sitting down and Bam my heart felt like it was actually grabbed and squeezed and pulled down words and then it started racing. Ever since then I get blurry vision almost every day especially at night and I’m always in sinus rhythm 60to 100 beats but when I lay down to sleep I can get to50 beats and that’s usually when I will get a random heart palpitation. I have had two episodes so far though in the last 18 months where it was the 180 or 200 bpm. One was a fib and last night was just a sinus rhythm at 150 beats to 200 beats and the only thing that worked was laying on my stomach. 33. Male.
J L - I am sorry to hear you are experiencing this. The blurry vision part sounds super intense. Do you get dizzy? Mine started 3 years ago (ever since I quit drinking) and I noticed it. My heart doesn’t race; my beats are quite normal. It’s the random squeezing that concerns me. If I have anxiety, it seems like I notice it worse. Sometimes, I feel like I’m not breathing properly either. Hoping for the best for all of us!
It's interesting that you say you can feel when it's about to happen. Last year, I blacked out for about ten seconds as I entered a store. I remained standing during the episode and fumbled about until I regained consciousness. Ten seconds is all it took. I was instantly okay after that. I took all the tests afterwards (ekg, stress, etc) and naturally they didn't find anything. Then it happened again almost to the day one year later. This time I didn't black out, but had to take it easy for the rest of the day. I don't know if it's connected, but the week before, I had a stomach bug which dehydrated me a lot. I'm thinking a big loss of electrolytes. The search for answers go on.
I’m 20 and started suffering from this Almost everyday a couple months ago I had to be rushed to the hospital due to an extreme episode. I kept coming in and out of fainting spells. I’m lucky that this episode was bad enough and long enough for the ecg to catch it and I’m finally being treated because my life is being effect greatly by this.

Sleepy time tea , magnesium, cbd ,low sugar diet seem to have helped me a lot 5 years ago before the keto trend I started this diet due to the psvt and it help greatly. same, I remember my first episode when I was around 5 years old. I think because I had it so young that I learned to live with it and control it when I have a episode. Although it didn't really affect me until high school and then got worse in college
Sometimes but not too too often, I get small episodes when I bend over and pick something up or tie my shoe. When I get back up I can feel it. Pulsing fast, kind of uncomfortable. I found that laying down flat on my back and getting into a meditative state stops it immediately. I never used to have it until was 16 I started getting panic attacks. I later learned to control those but after that, I started having these little episodes that took me a while to figure out what they were.

I can feel my heart beating when I sit on a chair or when I lie in bed. It’s like I get a mini “electric shock” every time my heart beats! It’s really uncomfortable.
I’m going through this I’ve developed anxiety do to it and now I have COVID symptoms so I’m really scared if I’ll make it out alive mine happen like once or twice a year but it depends on the level of stress I have. Anybody that has PVST and came out alive from this pandemic I need some hope I’m really scared. 😭😭😭😭
Pedro Sanchez I have developed suspected PVST during lockdown and have had to go to the emergency room 3 times. I feel anxious and have started coughing since my last visit. In the UK I have been told those with heart problems are only at risk of COVID 19 if pregnant. I’m praying for you Pedro. God bless you, you’re not alone. We’re in this together and we will get through this. 🙏💕🙏
hii pedro i am shankar from India i am facing same problem in last march 15 in 2020 and in again in july you are not alone dude we are also facing same you can contact me on 8457951316 and add 91 as india code.

Stay strong dude God is with you 🥺
I have just gotten over Covid but I’m now showing symptoms for PSVT. Other way around but still just as scared as you are
Had this condition from my sixteen. Frequent heartbeat couple times a year, and I'm tired from this. Had episode on my 28th birthday and after that I said f*ck it and went to hospital where done the RFA. And now after 1.5 year seems all ok
What treatment worked for you?
5 years of my life wasted being in a room afraid to go outside because i would get dizzy and feel like im going to pass out. Are doctors are fucking shit
@@willcamick man I have this too, dont be scared, I was also in panic and anxious but I said fuck it ,now I train on a daily basis, dont be scared, IF u encounter it just dump your head in cold water and it will stop. You can ask me anything I am also a medical student
Nemanja Andjelkovic Abena Walker This all started for me 18 months ago. 33. Male.
@@erikaortiz3134 Surgery called Radio Frequency Ablation (if I wrote it correct)
You can search it there on RUclips
I would say, at first times after I've had deep inhale and then push without exhale the tachycardia goes away. But when I grow older it stopped work for me, so I'm go to medication called Anaprilin (here in Ukraine) and take one pill when I have tachycardia. And last time I took 1.5 pill to take pulse under control and at this point after consulting with my cardiologist I'm went to surgery.
I was scared as hell, but now here I am after two years after surgery.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask
A BIG THANK YOU to you guys🌸🌺🤗🌻🌼
Atenolol and other meds can help, not so much in preventing the attacks but making them less severe in terms of heart-rate and length.
Thank you. I was recently diagnosed with PSVT and was scared to work out or do any exercise. I had a episode 3 year in 2017 and then in 2019 and now 2 times within 3 months. This time i tried these options and it gave me a lot of relief. I am 15
I've had this condition for at least 6 years now diagnosed that is , triggers are definitely coffee or stimulant drugs , drinking too much also or hangovers , cigars or any type of smoking unfortunately, when it happens to me it feels like a eye twitch or lip twitch a turning in my stomach my vision is even altered in a small way then I know its coming when its in full effect hands start to curl like wanting to close/cramp genitalia will reduce in size and i feel somewhat unable to talk . Sleepy time tea , magnesium, cbd ,low sugar diet seem to have helped me a lot 5 years ago before the keto trend I started this diet due to the psvt and it help greatly. Now I get them more often when I fall off ,drink more etc.
Does your blood pressure drop or increase when you're having an episode?
I'm watching this after the longest SVT episode for me, this one lasted like ten min
Just literally had one for about 2 minutes and it’s scary but everything will be ok we gotta accept our body’s signs to take care of your body better

Jay A. Wallace wow! It’s been 5 years for me, I do have other health problems & I take medication so I’m wondering if it has anything to do with that? My heart is normal & healthy otherwise?
Used to happen to me, don’t know what I’m doing different but it’s not happened in years.
Mine started at 15!!! I'm now 40. Finally diagnosed.
Hello can I ask what did you do to relieve or prevent it from coming since 15 years old? Did you take any supplements or meds? Very much appreciated
How did you get on for all those years? I’ve only had a few weeks but feel bad
Same, started at 14 diagnosed 33. I hope the ablation next month, lately they are giving me 3 4 episodes per day.
Reading the comments you guys this condition although serious learning how to journal when what time what you where doing prior and learning to breathe through the episode is how I've been coping I'm lucky I'm a dsw, so i have some med training prior to learning about this.

I have this since I was kid and I'm an adult now, I just learned to control it and live with it. I can do everything, well, people don't let me ride a rollercoaster hahaha and I want to.
This thing can teach you how to pay attention to your heart and what can you do
same, I remember my first episode when I was around 5 years old. I think because I had it so young that I learned to live with it and control it when I have a episode. Although it didn't really affect me until high school and then got worse in college
@@daphnerainier8786 ou :( how are you right now? I really wish it gets better for you in the future.
@@PeaceNinja007 sorry, this just started with me really recently n so I start everyday with scary pinching pressure and palps. Since this is new, I'm wondering if yours has continued?
@@patrickbrowder6857 - Yes it still happens to me. Im 26 now. But in my case, I would say it happens maybe like once a month but it can occur when I bend over to pick something up or tie my shoes. I don't bend over often (god that sounds wrong lol).
Try laying flat on your back and relaxing as much as possible. This abruptly stops it for me every time.
Guys don’t worry Cristiano Ronaldo also had SVT, he then had the routine op to fix this and then became the worlds best performing athlete.
