Randy was such a handsome talented young man, must have been a struggle having married so young, from rural midwest roots and becoming a rising Rock Star, his talent in such demand and his beautiful face and voice adored by so many of us young women. His voice was amazing, his song Take it to the Limit, was much about the freedom he needed to be who he had become as an incredible one of of kind musician living the free and easy lifestyle of the 70s. He was beautiful and a true gift. I wish his life had not had so many challenges.
Yes I agree. It must have been a real struggle being away from his young family. Also the others were single so the lifestyle would have been a dream come true for them, not for a married man.
Terrible news to hear that you're gone. Thanks for everything, the music, the voice, the beautiful soul. Most of all thanks for all the years your music has brought me peace. Rest In Peace Randy Meisner 🕊️
Watching the old videos, Randy was always smiling and appeared to be having a blast. Loved seeing that! When he left the band, a light went out. Sadly, now it’s out forever.😢
Travel well Randy, travel well. The only thing that really gets to me are the other Eagle hypocrites who are now saying what a great voice, man etc, now that he’s sadly died. Somehow some people think that when someone so special like Randy sadly dies, they come out of the woodwork stating what a great ‘asset’ he was to the Eagles. Why couldn’t they say that when he was a genuine Asset not only to the Eagles, but to music in general. I will always believe that he DID have the best voice of all of those bunch of eagle hypocrites. Shame on them. You’ll always be my favourite Randy and the absolute best.
Exactly! Don Henley and Glen Fry were complete 💩heads to him while in the band & after the band. Their behavior was discusting. It makes me sick what those two jerks got away with. No one is ever going to say such kind words when those two are gone - as what we can truly say about Randy 🤍
I’m a little mad at myself because i always heard take it to the limit on the radio (even on the tv for the fourth of July when Zac Brown Band performed it) a few weeks or a month maybe more before he died to the point where i got annoyed by it. When i seen that he died and how everyone was saying how good his backing vocals and high harmonies were I started to listen to take it to the limit both live and in studio and recently looked at some other eagles songs (both popular and not) along with his solo career and it’s unfortunate because since many famous people have died I’ve wanted to observe their work before they pass so that it feels less depressing. I also never knew how handsome he was since when he was alive I only briefly looked at some photos of him. Seriously i think he was the best looking out of them all. Rest in heavenly peace Randy Meisner
I've loved Randy ever since I heard his solo stuff at around age ten, and I didn't even know for sure he was the lead on "Take It to the Limit". Long story! But I'm only now beginning to truly appreciate how much of an integral part of the early Eagles sound he was. Don't laugh, but I used to think they must have done ten zillion tracks of Mr. Frey (RIP) for the background or something, because for some reason I was under the sorely mistaken impression that Randy hadn't been with the band for that long! Man, what an ignorant little girl I was! But hey, they didn't have Internet and screen readers for the visually impaired and such, and I was emerging from the sheltered existence of music and dramas from another culture. Making up for lost time and will be doing so forever!
You and we get to hear him anew. I too didn't know much about Randy Meisner till quite recently; Though of course I'd 'heard' the Eagles so many times.
Randy (in my opinion) had the best voice in that band - period. This representation, however does not paint the true picture of his input, there were parts of it that were clearly vocalized by other band members.
At the age of 70, I have taken up Bass Guitar. Why??? Mainly because of Randy Meisner. Mind you I may hope to play like Him but sing like Him? Only in my dreams!
My favorite Eagle, I'm starting to believe that Glenn was just a hot head. He liked to bully people, he did it to Bernie, Randy and Den Felder. The only one that he couldn't kick out was Henley
When Randy was in the Eagle they were at their peak. The original four his the hard grafting to build up the fan base and get themselves known. Felder was a great addition.
It's just too bad that Don Henley & Glen Fry were such 💩heads to him. Disgusting behavior those two A-holes got away with. Randy - I hope you know how greatly you are missed and what an extreme talent you were.
RIP Glen but while you were alive, while being a great writer and talent, you were also a control freak.. You and Henley… You screwed up kicking out Randy M He was the best voice in the band… Sorry buddy but if you were still here, I’d pop you right in the mouth for Randy, Don F, and Bernie L Yeah, you have it coming
Perhaps he should have stood his ground against dictator Frey, and not allowed himself to be booted out. Frey was the cause of Felder leaving, too. Thought he owned the group.
@@minskimia True, Mr. H hit some high ones there, but even he was quoted saying that Meisner could hit some notes that would make dogs howl. Earbuds or any headphones might be helpful in this case to hear the background vocals.
@@minskimiaAlso listen to Best of my Love & One of these Nights for Randy’s high notes - also Seven Bridges Road. He added such a depth an extra special layer to the highest harmonies that were never replicated again.
I never met the man but his passing brought me to tears. RIP Randy. Your voice lives on.
Beautiful voice and best looking in the group…..

Randy was a stunningly gorgeous man and a truly amazing singer.
Oh so true! Kate!!!!❤❤❤
Gosh Randy Meisner by far was the most handsome of all the Eagles. I'd forgotten how good looking he is.
Randy was always my favorite member of the Eagles. So cute and the BEST hair!!!
Look at him, an Angel!
That clip on him sitting on the couch in the black shirt being interviewed......god he was handsome!💖
Yes he certainly was ❤💜💚
I agree
I was thinking the same thing. Same thing with the rest of the clips too 😍 such a cutie!
Absolutely angelic face and mannerisms. ❤
OMG. He would have had to hide from me.
R.I.P. He was not only bass but olso High tone singer. "Take it to the limit, Beatiful!"
That man could have left his shoes under my bed any time❤
Gotta love Randy Meisner thru and thru!
RIP Randy Meisner, you'll be missed.
What a handsome and angel-like human being. God bless him. He has timeless amazing songs.
I hope Randy reads all these great reviews!! He was the voice of the Eagles!!
I have Randy Meisner’s album One More Song and it’s one of my favorite
Just a beautiful man

RIP Randy! You had such an amazing voice!
This man is a BEAST

Sings like an angel and so cute with it

Randy Meisner the Golden Eagle.
Australia ❤❤❤❤
Sweet Randy💛
Thank you. The great Randy Meisner. Keep posting 👍
My sweet Randy ❤❤❤❤❤
At the age of 70, I have taken up Bass Guitar. Why??? Mainly because of Randy Meisner. Mind you I may hope to play like Him but sing like Him? Only in my dreams!
That's awesome! 👍
An elegant charming eagle
Underrated bassist, and he's too often boxed in as a harmony singer. His lead vocals on "Take It To The Limit" and "Too Many Hands" were incredible.
Love it, Love it, Love it ❤️
Thank you! This is very very special.
Great..love it.
This is so much fun!
✨I realized his importance in the Eagles ✨
Increíble handson
How could you let this guy walk? They should have been down on their knees begging him to stay!
Te quiero mucho Randy
Randy is the best looking and best singer…Eagles were so much better with him!
My favorite Eagle, I'm starting to believe that Glenn was just a hot head. He liked to bully people, he did it to Bernie, Randy and Den Felder. The only one that he couldn't kick out was Henley
My Randy love UUUUUU
0:44 😍😍
Yyyeeeesssss
When randy was in the band , the eagles was the real eagles I like to remember although I respect current lineup
When Randy was in the Eagle they were at their peak. The original four his the hard grafting to build up the fan base and get themselves known. Felder was a great addition.
Excelente cantor, #BrasiL
where can i see their behind the scenes vids? this vid just made my heart flutter. awesome job!
❤
He would've had to run from me.
You and Henley…
You screwed up kicking out Randy M
He was the best voice in the band…
Sorry buddy but if you were still here, I’d pop you right in the mouth for Randy, Don F, and Bernie L
Yeah, you have it coming
Meisner sang better and looked better than Frey. That’s why Frey was so insecure.
can anyone tell me what song is playing at 22 seconds of this video? I cant say i ever heard it but I love what I hear so far..
It's Try and Love Again from Hotel California. ruclips.net/video/ur-98THySBc/видео.html
🤍 🕊️
Perhaps he should have stood his ground against dictator Frey, and not allowed himself to be booted out. Frey was the cause of Felder leaving, too. Thought he owned the group.
I think I hear a bit of Glen Frey in those leads...
😞
Umm ..most of the high notes in this post are Don Henleys..
Nope...randys...
Dons at the end..
Sorry...it's Randy...Henley's range is lower...he had some head voice, but not the true lyric tenor of Randy...
Listen to One of these nights then say that again! lol
