Evercross EV10Z Electric Scooter Review

- This scooter is different than other scooters I've reviewed because it has a rear hub 500 watt (peak) motor and front drum brakes. It is a new combination and I have a say I enjoy the smooth ride, having the motor in the rear wheel pushes the scooter instead of pulling it from the front. Because of this the ride feels smoother and more natural than being pulled along by a front motor. The drum brakes also provide for smoother stopping however they aren't as powerful as disc brakes I've used on other scooters.
*Update* I got a reply from the manufacturer that the speed setting can be changed by single presses of the power button without having to use the App.

Actually, you single press the power button to change speed mode if this doesn’t work, then try updating your firmware in the app and see if it says there’s an update available
Dang when y’all do reviews you’ll have to do more than just review everything on the scooter, but also ride it
What do you mean "there is no way to change the mode on the scooter by pressing the button"?!?!? I literally own one of these and you just have to tap the button on the scooter once to switch from eco, drive, and sport. There is also a walking mode on the scooter that goes 7kmh. Work on getting your facts right...
Yep, that was answered some time ago. It is incorrect in the video and won't be updated since the video is rather old. Thank you for sharing your findings with everyone.

When you squeeze the brakes on the display does a red light come on I’m not sure if this is bad or good. This is my first scooter so I don’t know.
Yes that is normal. Not sure why they have that notification come on as most people aren't looking at the display while riding and braking.
Thank you for the quick reply because the thing that worried me because when I was waiting through the instructions that indicator is a fault indicator I don’t know why it comes on when you use the brakes
Yeah, I thought the same thing the first time I rode the scooter. Why does this light keep coming on when I brake? I think some of these manufacturers just enjoy adding indicators to their control panels. I actually own several scooters and this one has the busiest control screen out of all of them. Can the suspension be adjusted? The ride isnt that smooth, i think softening up the suspension will make it a lot better. The whole thing rattles and kills your hands after about 30 mins of riding.
Yes the two dials on top of the suspension rods are there to adjust the tension on the springs to make them, stiffer or softer. The travel on these suspension rods isn't very long so you may not feel a whole lot of difference. Also remember the tires are honeycomb rubber so they are much harder than pneumatic (air filled) tires which will make the ride feel stiffer. But you'll never get a flat :).
And finally this scooter is a street scooter and is meant to be ridden on smooth asphalt or concrete. If you are riding it on gravel or old torn up roadways it is going to be a rough ride.

@@Rlts_wf3 I'm glad that helped. Try spraying the rods and the bottom of the dials with some silicone spray that may loosen them.

Have you noticed any air bubbles within the rubber Mat portion? I just setup my scooter and noticed there's air gap near the evercross logo on tht grey part. As well the handle bar screws are on one side were very hard to screw in and didn't go all the way in. The screen as well didn't have a screen protector it looked to be scratched already.
I haven't experienced that, my mat and screen are both in good condition. I store mine in the shed but heat doesn't seem to impact it.

What's the max mileage you get in S mode at top speed?
I get 20 miles on a flat trail and I weigh 163lbs. Hilly trails and heavier payloads will reduce your mileage.

The base measurements are 16" x 6".
DOUBLE-TAP THE POWER BUTTON TO CHANGE MODES. TRIPLE TAB BUTTON TO TURN ON THE LIGHTS.
Thank you for the comment. I contacted the company and it's actually single tap to change speed setting and double tap for lights on this model.

Good news I am in my 50's and ride this all the time! As long as you have good balance your age shouldn't be a factor. Check Amazon the price fluctuates on scooters.
How do i put Cruise control on
Just hold down the throttle for at least 20 seconds and cruise automatically turns on (it should have an indicator on the screen). Pressing the throttle again or the brake turns off cruise.

A single tap to change speed setting and double tap for lights on this model. As you single tap it will cycle through the speed settings, the last one in the cyclesshould be the fastest setting in 19 mph.
The one that says S only goes 16 miles
And I clicked it 7 times. What should I do

Mine only goes up to 16mph. I changed in the app to 18.6 but it still holds on 16. It is in S mode. Any help, please?

I'm trying to add the device, but it says Device adding timeout.
Scooter was awesome . I was driving it just shut down while driving. For almost 2 months I have sent about 8 emails to there support team with not one reply. Also it was only a week after I purchased it. Evercross is HORRIBLE with customer service
Sorry to hear you're experiencing those problems. If you bought it through Amazon I'd tried going through their customer service they may be able to do something for you, or at least encourage the seller to reply to your service request.

Why can I only get 12 mph
Check you manual, you have to have it set at the highest speed setting to get 19mph.
