Well yeah. Those are also gonna be the RUclips certified technicians of the world. How many videos do you have to watch to get the certificate now ? I had to do mine the old fashion way and actually work on cars. Now you just watch some videos and your an expert in any field you want.

Lost 50 out of 37K views .... it's like researching something on Amazon... 36,950 positive vs 50 negative, and deciding not to buy it. This is one of my favorite channels because the connection you have with your audience. Lots of laughs while watching you save cars. Don't change a thing.
All that matters is the 2 of you have fun and enjoy the cars. Back in the 70s I had a van with $5000 paint job on the out side and my mother 1 day painted my door panels pink. LOL. I drove the hell out of that thing for 10 years and when you opened a doors you saw pink. Love what you guys do.

We all like the cream-over-turquoise tri-fives on Cragars with glasspacks and a 350/350. But IT'S BEEN DONE in every jurisdiction from Prudhoe Bay to Puerto Rico. Dani made something pulled out of eternal rest hers, and Dan made a heck of a two-door post Bel Air with a great engine. Anyone who has a problem with that needs to put a fence around their precious lawn.

I enjoy the emotional roller coaster this generates for some folks, it's a sign of the times. When I build something I don't think in the back of my mind what anyone else is going to think about it, it's how I want to look. Keep up the good work and have fun doing it, nothing better than building some shock value into a ride.
A huge part of hot Rodding has always been about taking the best parts off pedestrian cars and putting them on the cool cars. As time goes on, the pedestrian offerings change hence hotroddong has to change. It’s the natural evolution of the hobby. I'm sitting here watching the two of you read comments about a video that made people mad, in front of a '55 Nomad with "Making People So MaDD" on it's flanks- the irony is deliciously awesome! Few things are as great as holding up a mirror to idiots who miss the whole point of hot rodding. They are the same ones who rail against patina rods in general, rat rods, art cars, etc.. one of the main reasons I subscribe to DD Speed Shop in addition to the humor and banter between the two of you, is the fact that you do things your way. Keep on being you both, and the channel will grow.

As a person who just likes working on cars, but grew up on imports, I think people who complain about how people build cars aesthetic wise, are just building cars to sell, not for themselves. Some just like building things and having fun. I got my 57 last year and have been slowly building it, and have learned so much thanks to your channel among others. Keep up the great work and videos and don’t worry about the 50 subs lost, we’re in a recession. Lol

I totally agree….it’s your car, do what you want. At least it’s going to be driven. Cars that are “too pretty” to drive have never made sense to me. They show up at car shows in a trailer, snuggled in a blanket. What a waste!!!
I'm 67 and remember driving around Ferguson(yeah that Ferguson) and see a guy who did these outrageous glitter and gold flake paint jobs on cars. It was somewhat common in late 70's early 80's His own car was some little glittered up Honda. Nothing wrong with a little glitter and it's her car. I personally think all pink inside (ha,ha) would look better but then her choice. Good job Dan and after all like you said, you have 16 others.

I believe, being a father of 4 , that a girl should make her car as she wants to drive it. Women in the garage issue went out with your grandmothers wash as your grandfather said. Glitter on a car is a choice where rust is not. If you buy this car and don’t like the glitter take it off , her car her way.Dani’s car will never be a trailer queen!
