Absolutely! I handle them cautiously because I have had some cool, lighter skinned friends, high school, college, after college, and in each case, these ladies "sought" my friendship. I did not pick up colorist vibes from them, nor did they show some superiority complex. If a lady has redbone, red gal, or anything like that she goes by, I don't align myself in any way with her, because I know she's bought into the whole colorists, color struck, CONSTRUCT. 💯🎯‼️

Hey Chrissie, so Last week me and my husband went out to eat at this Japanese spot in Cali and you can basically cook your own ramen at the table, you would just have to go get the condiments that you want to put in your ramen. So i went up to get my condiments. When i came back, my husband stated that the woman in the stripe dress behind him came over to talk to him as soon as i got up. The other woman, behind him as well kept staring at us, all in our conversation, cant fatium the fact im laughing having a could time. And i knew she couldnt help herself to say something to me. As soon as they were done eating, cause we came after them, she told me she likes my shoes, and what are they. Mind you she couldn't see my shoes at first because shes behind my husband and im facing her. So when they were getting ready to leave they pretty much stood there and had their husband pay the bill. They standing there looking at me from head to toe, bothering us while were eating, and literally bold enough to talk to my husband alone the moment i got up.

As soon as I seen this situation I literally was waiting for your coverage - this is the same song and dance we've been playing/doing for decades now! I started being in these spaces at 19 and just turned 25. Your nb or ambiguous friends will always feel like they have a leg up on you whether it's expressed clearly or not; they understand how society pedistalizes them and move accordingly to their benefit (as they shouold; honestly). Denying this out of fear of looking like the angry/jealous unambiguous black friend is going to have you ending up like Baby Storne and Cleo.... I won't NOT befriend biracial, ambiguous or non black women but I'm always extra cautious around them when it comes to expecting true loyalty and sisterhood. I know because I have to deal with this from my blood sister. It eats them up to see the "less desirable" woman get praises and get along with people they're also in acquaintance with - that's typically when the green goblin rears its head. Always be mindful around women that don't look like you. Of course you should be strategic period, but I feel like you're less likely to experience true sisterhood with women that don't look like you and share your experience. Much love to you all - stay gracious!

They really don’t like it when you are a darker complexion but you have some features that they feel they should have instead of you. I had two biracial sisters as “friends” as a child. They would always brag about how wavy their hair was. Then my mom started letting me get my hair straightened. They got jealous and picked a fight with me and stopped talking to me all together. One girl in high school would frequently tell me it looked like I had cut my hair, when actually I hadn’t but she was insecure about her own hair. Another light skin woman looked at me with disgust and said “how you this black with freckles??”
More recently I made a new “friend” and I guess she thought I would be enamored by her looks and thought I was gonna fall up under her. We went to a party and I went and got a drink and came back and she said “you didn’t get me one?” I surely didn’t, your legs not broke and I ain’t no man! A few weeks after I met her I met my husband and we got serious fairly quickly. I honestly believe she was interested in him. Even to this day she tells people I didn’t like him at first which isn’t true at all…I just knew to keep these heffas in their place and out my business. Shortly after I started dating, she met this guy that she clearly settled for. They got engaged after we did but she made sure they got married first. At one point we shared our wedding ideas and she came back and said she was thinking of doing the same colors I chose. She would try to one up me on everything but would fail cuz she ain’t me 😂😂. We don’t talk now but we follow each other’s social media. Every year she tags me on my anniversary and welcomes me to the *insert year here* marriage club. That fool got married one month before me. I guess she has to remind me that she got married first 😂😂.

chrissie can you please do a video on tyla. i don't see her as a black woman (i thought she was indian at first) and it's quite refreshing that she doesn't identify as black and has taught the american black community that mixed race people are allowed to be mixed race. however, it's not lost on me that she uses black/african cultures, aesthetics, and identity to push her mediocre music career and despite the fact that she is a colored girl mixed with indian and white; like her dad is literally indian, so why is that not reflective in the way she presents herself? something about tyla is very off to me and i feel like black women are so self hating to call it out or call out these mixed race women using our likeness/identity to take our places in media and even our communities. black people/women literally sat on the internet and bullied tyla for not identifying as black... when she is CLEARLY a multiracial indian leaning looking girl.. she doesn't even look very black when you take off all the cosplay. and idgaf if she's from south africa, i used to LIVE in SA as an expat in Jo-burg, the city where tyla is from, and i went to international school there so i was around a lot of south africans and international people. It's one of the most segregated cities in SA and a lot of the colored people in south africa look down on black people (colored is a term originating during apartheid and apartheid ended in 1994) like i literally had a colored girl so confused that i lived in one of the affluent neighborhoods of jo-burg because i was black (mind you SA is a majority black country). so it's hard for me to believe Tyla isn't colorist or a lil antiblack because i have experienced a lot of hatred from colored people in south africa surprisingly more than from the white/afrikaans people over there. anyway after the whole 'is tyla black' convo i have decided to not support her anymore. i am tired of mixed race girls being black women's representation. like your telling mke out of all the talented girls in south africa, a country that is majority black, it was tyla a mixed race woman who is the one just who just so happens to be pushed as an international act? yea i am not buying it anymore. i am so done with the obvious agenda that they are trying to push. they already pushed this agenda in America and as an african person i can't allow them to push these self hating agendas on my african people. africa doesn't have much but at least we have our identity and i can't not let western propaganda media take it from us

It happens in a country like ours where there is a history of privilege for one group, they want to benefit from their proximity to whiteness. I have experienced so much anti blackness from those people. I refuse to support her, that community wants nothing to do with black south africans... NOTHING!

Black women in South Africa are supporting that charlatan very loudly they consider anyone saying the charlatan shouldn’t be the representative of South African township music is called a hater. They’ll learn. DSBW are a problem especially the celebrity types for supporting these carbon copies and then crying when it all goes wrong. I’ve stopped supporting DSBW celebrities and their work unless they are Africans being one myself. It’s a thankless task supporting them. They perpetuate the mixed race coddling which trickles down to ordinary women. I’m pleased to say I’ve never supported any mixed people men or women because I’ve always understood they’re not our people. My identity is Bantu which nobody can copy

I also think this is a woman thing in general. I've heard of this happening with women who are overweight. Their friends love them when they're fat then start acting shady when they lose weight and are more attractive.
Women in general constantly have this secret competition in their minds with other women. Even women they call their "Friend".

He’s just always been that way. Anyway why is she on the dance floor standing directly in front of him while we’re sitting at a table chatting, and she’s out here doing jumping jacks, cartwheels, doing THE most to try and get his attention 😂. Like B! I’m sitting RIGHT HERE but like, in her mind I didn’t exist and she just wanted him to ask her to dance so bad. My husband leans over and goes “why is this is this woman so desperate for my attention rn lol” I got second hand embarrassment for her 🤦🏾‍♀️

I'm a regular-schmegular black chick. Real skinny because genetics and anemia. Somewhere on the coffee with a touch of cream spectrum...I've witnessed all the 💩you mentioned about being hat3d on. I'm unambiguously Black with 4b hair. Most of the hate I get from other women I think is due to my hair because it's long, nappy, healthy and natural. Silly and petty. But I get a lot of ww hair flipping around me, giggles and stares from some, straight up hostility from fellow bw.
Examples: Got attention when mixed Cuban friend got none and I was in jeans + tee shirt while she was showing hella skin. She was real quiet and I could sense the upbeat vibe she arrived with was off. Long since cut her off after seeing the lo-key shade and hate. Another instance, I was in new job training. There was a ratchet, hood chick of an Ice Spice coloration that would literally LEAN IN MY PERSONAL SPACE TO BLOCK MY LINE OF SIGHT as we are sitting at the conference table listening to the onboarding speaker! She made it a POINT to always jump in front of me when we went from place to place in the building during the orientation. Any question I asked was met with a sneer from her. If I happened to catch her glare, it would chill my blood. Never met this crazy woman before that day. Insane!
Last example is fairly recent. About a week ago, was in the store in the water aisle. I don't dress 'cool' or faddish, so I literally had on capri tights and a goofy pineapple dreadlock cartoon tee shirt. I look like a giant, lanky 6th grader. A larger bw dressed like Barbie in hotpink ruffle mini skirt w/lighter pink baby doll top arrives with her male in tow. She immediately starts sizing me up and I do my best to focus on the water. So, she stares at me while contorting herself all weird and making faces at me. I could feel the hostility. I was just existing and trying to buy some water. Never even looked directly at her or her 'man'. I'm not even really 'pretty', just normal. This is my life tho.
