I saw under an old house a paper wasp nest. They used news paper to build the nest. I could still read some of the words after the nest was built. I found it fascinating!
I had a similar situation a few years back. Yellowjackets under a window in my living room. I didn't know they were there until I saw a little smudge on the sheetrock inside the house. I scratched it a little and it came off and I saw them running back and forth through the hole. I put a little piece of tape over the hole till I got some wasp killer. When I peeled back the tape and sprayed the stuff into the hole I could see through the window all hell break loose outside. The buzzing sound inside the house was loud and I was really scared. I kept spraying it for a while only from the inside till they were all gone then caulked up the hole outside and never heard from them again. Definitely very scary though.
Was renovating a house 10 years ago that had a nest just like that but was in the floor of a second story bathroom. First thing in the morning we sprayed the foaming bee killer in the entrance to the nest then drilled small holes in the floor and shot in more foam. Next day we cut open the floor to see how big it really was. It was shocking! It was 3 feet long and took up the entire 2x8 cavity.
Had you not gotten involved, eventually, they would have split the wallpaper, and killed anyone in that home once, they were freely airborne. A person sleeping would have been covered with them.
@@phillipspestcontrol59 I found this fascinating yellow jacket video showing how thy sting a styrofoam mannequin head. ruclips.net/video/fu5ivoLmQTI/видео.html
If you're lying quietly, they will all land on your face and you'll wake up thinking you grew a beard overnight. And then if someone gives you crap the next day like your boss or some idiot in traffic, your beard will fly over and kill them on the spot. It's true! I knew this guy who knew another guy whose brother's sister saw it happen! I think it was in Alabama. Or maybe France.
I came home from work one summer day a few years ago. Walked into about 20,000 honey bees throughout my house. They had built a hive in the chimney that the previous home owner failed to tell me about. Took me two days to get them out of the house and to seal the top of the chimney.
when my daughter was 10 years old we were having a family get together. the back of the property hade a small creek running through it, and she sat on a yellow jacket nest on the edge of the creek. when she started screaming we all went to see what was wrong. when we realized it was bees we started running for our cars to get her to the hospital. it was very odd that the bees only attacked my daughter all the way to our cars , no one else got stung. she had over 100 stings.
Can’t believe the owner let it get to that level being a bedroom! I could see if it was a shed in the yard or something...but they are buzzing 24 inches from your head all night and you don’t call an exterminator months ago?
This was a great video. I absolutely hate yellow jackets. Delt with them a few times on my property. I live in Maine & we don't have anyone like this fella around here! I'd hire him in a heartbeat. As far as the video quality goes... Really... Sooo many comments to bash on the video quality... Show some respect to these guys. The fella that has to sleep in that room I'm sure didn't mind cleaning up his carpet, that's the last of his worries after dealing with this. Anyway awesome video guys! Keep up the good work. I'll definitely be subscribing to your channel to see what else you get into! Lol. Thanks for sharing 🤘😎🤘
That is scary. Such a giant nest FULL of layers only hidden away from a very thin wall? I can't imagine sleeping so close, in such risk they all may come busting out! The noise they made sound like an air vent. The nest definitely looks like it was kept for quite a few years.
I have destroyed many yellow jacket nests. I wait until after they stop flying for the day to spray them. They will all be in the nest and it doesn't take very much spray to kill them then. Just a difference in technique.
I'm from Minnesota working in southern Alabama by Opp, Dothan, Euphala, and Selma. I work on communication towers and came across your insects. And it's hot and humid my God! I once opened a generator door and yellow jackets came pouring out. Ahhhhhh!
You can’t tell me that guy didn’t hear that mess or know it was there prior to them coming through the wall. That was so loud and the wall was like paper in a huge area. Plus it was moving and making that horrible buzzing sound. I’m assuming since you said it’s the first of the year that it’s spring time at filming so this had to be a multi season nest. That was huge.
They can knaw through 5/8 sheet rock without any problem. If there is a ceiling light fixture left on and draped with flypaper strips to swarm to, they are less likely to attack people and pets if they swarm the inside of the house.
Great job! Hopefully there's one of you on Long Island NY should we need you. What kind of spray is that? I use Raid in the black can that shoots like 20 feet, but what do I know? Lol
Now, they are going to have to vacuum up the remaining yellow jacket paper and the dead yellow jackets in the wall and floor. Hey! Maybe that is what they should have done from the beginning? Fewer chemicals, and getting rid of the yellow jackets faster. That nest was there for a long time, from the size of the comb. Somebody is a sound sleeper! (g)
In a nest that size, there were probably over 100 Queens. These breed isn't like honeybees with 1 queen per hive. These mega-colonies in the south can have thousands laying eggs at the same time. Thats how the colonies get so large.
Good Job Phillips Pest control. As for the Annoying comments on the video...This ain’t Lucas Films or Network TV! The man is doing a dangerous job and is nice enough to share the experience. Just watch the video. Folks on here complaining like spoiled beeetches instead of watching the video for what it is and see an expert in action.
Imagine that you lay down nicely on your bed and you have this beastly nest inside the wall! This is bad news! And Imagine you tap onto this part of the wall angrily and you set them off! Suddenly the layer collapse and you end up with a nest on you bed and in full swing one at that. Nightmare! It would be a nice idea to give the wall a few karate style kicks and some fists to set them off!
These guys have balls of steel! If I see just ONE Yellowjacket,Wasp or Hornet anywhere near me I turn into a 6 year old little girl!I let out a tiny squeal and head in the opposite direction in a damn hurry!🤣It's embarrassing how big of a wuss I am when I see any flying insect with a stinger.🙄
With this breed, with a good stretch of dry weather, they could probably do this by mid summer. The larger the nest gets, the more Queens there are and then they get big really fast. Most of the time, they are limited by the size of the space. But they are very destructive and as you can see, easily could have broken out of the wall soon. Yellow jackets are a nightmare.
That looks like several seasons to get that size of a nest. Or are they capable of a nest that size in one season?? I have only seen ground nests. The biggest was about the size of a soccer ball.
Great job!! Given how viscous these little bastards are, did you take any stings. I see even experienced bee keepers and removers, with protection, get stung. Sometimes several times

The video is great but annoyingly out of focus.
I don't know man, that might be a bit of a blessing :P
SkyTour Livestream w/Marc Dantonio he must have a Sony camera bwahahaha
If its out of focus, try changing the settings to 720p
Yeah but the accent carries you through! 😁
Very true.... 😵

6:27 LOL, holy crap, Is that the sound of all the yellowjackets? That's insane.
tommyb1two3 my GOD!!!!
That was some potent stuff!! That nest had to have been there for a while!! Love the video!
WOW Scary 😲 where Yellow Jackets can be ! Thanks for your help in this matter !
I never though that my nightmares would be out of focus
That's what it's like being nearsighted. Cameraman needs to get closer to see better.
I would make that the in laws' room.
Hahahahaa
RUclips in their infinite wisdom recommended me one video from the hornet king. Now i cant stop
Thanks for watching!
Same exact thing happened to me!!!😂
I need to put on my glasses, i can't see. Oh it's not me
Yeah, it was bad out of focus. Ole camera dude needs to learn a couple tricks. Lol!
so happy to see another upload from you. Keep it up!

Love the videos buddy, keep em coming. You are close to our town, if I ever need anything I will give you a call.
Wow what a nest! Brings back memories of one I dealt with 20 plus years ago! (In a bathroom wall!)
Had you not gotten involved, eventually, they would have split the wallpaper, and killed anyone in that home once, they were freely airborne. A person sleeping would have been covered with them.
Yes It could have gotten really bad ....really fast! Thanks for watching!

Pretty bad when you can stick a plastic straw through the interior walls lol.
They chew up the drywall to make nest material.
@@DrDr-pg5br yeah and in those trailers it's really thin panel board haha so wouldn't take much to chew through that
@@DrDr-pg5br They go and eat all the gypsum off the sheet rock down to the paper.
yeah how can the person that lives there not have noticed that lol
Love this video! Kool how you compared the queen vs. it's drones!
That was an unbelievably big nest - had to have been more than a single season old - but your courage is bigger by far.
This gives a whole new meaning to “paper thin walls”
Wow that must suck.
I think I would've tossed a hand grenade in that room then called it a day...
I'm with you bro lmao
🤣🤣
Zee Steele I would clap your cheeks and call it a day 😍😍😍
zestydude87 Agreed! Three words: F**K THAT NOISE!!!!
Yup. Light a match. I'm moving!
I love country folk accents. "Smells like pancakes." So funny.
The scent of the venom does smell like pancakes.
HOLY COW! if that was my trailer I would just have to burn it down!🔥🔥🔥🐝🔥🐝🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for helping that man.

Wow this is just amazing. I could not imagine sleeping with a beehive in my walls. Good job guys.
How the hell did that man not notice or hear that nest before it got that big??? Makes no sense
If he's an old man, he might not be able to hear that well.
A/C could have masked noise
D- force is great but that Cb-80 would of been good too since it’s more so like a fogger, wrote that because I watched you go inside lol Great job
Was thinking the same, wouldnt have needed nearly as much either, its my favorite for voids
The level of blurriness of this video sets a new low for YT.
Nice job. That poor man must have got some shock going to bed with them beside him.
My damn cataracts are acting up again

Wow. That is definitely a multi season nest, for sure. It’s huge!
I Think theres going to have to be a lot of caulking after the fact to fix this from happening again.
Reaction of a life long quilter- heck with the bees, lemme see more of that beautiful quilt, lol.
I’m a pest management professional too, love cb 80 for voids
Spray a little Termidor SC and every one of those little bastards will be dead by the next day. Guaranteed.

What's the most times you've took stings. And from what. Just curious from Knoxville Tennessee.
Hey I saw that 334 area code. I was born in that area. My dad was born and lived half his life in opelika
Good video. Glad to see them gone. Good Stuff, whatever you are using!
Do you use a shop vac with water and dish soap at all with the yellow jacket captures? It seems effective for others.
Great job sir! Amazing 😱🙌🏾
I have the chills just watching you .
Great job! Hopefully there's one of you on Long Island NY should we need you. What kind of spray is that? I use Raid in the black can that shoots like 20 feet, but what do I know? Lol
Oh. My. God. Nightmares isn't strong enough. That was utterly unbelievable and you are a yellow jacket slaying GOD.
Creepy crawlies!!!! But oh, so fascinating!!!
Let's have a baby
Have seen various videos and not seen any nests as large as this one, wow

I love the way he ends all of the videos "give us a call at Phillips Pest Control"
12:20 That's where Chief Brody would say "You're gonna need a bigger bucket"
Umm they sound like a window unit AC, how tf he ain't hear that🤦🏽♂️
Hear it hell, look at the damn wall lol. A blind person can see you got some major issues going on haha
Do the new d force cans you're using there leak out of the top for you? Every one i get now days leaks on me

If it was all in one piece this would be an awesome nest in my collection.
5:42 was there. Fire cracker in the wall I seen sparks
great work
It has to be more than one queen the usually bigger then that she has to be a princess about to leave the nest

Looks like camera is set for macro mode. The really close shots are in focus otherwise AF not working at all. Informative scary video none the less.
Wow! Seemed like a very scary thing to sleep with at night. Wow.
How would you not hear those in your wall?!

Would not sevin dust had been easier and less messy?
This would be a perfect use of temper dust.
Here it is on video documented proof. So it is possible to put a large square object into a smaller round hole.
That looks like several seasons to get that size of a nest. Or are they capable of a nest that size in one season?? I have only seen ground nests. The biggest was about the size of a soccer ball.
can someone tell me what kind of spray he's using?
I am never ever living in another mobile home after watching this!
Ok ..so he looked at his hand to see where his thumb was...lol
Lmao he for sure did.
I would love to have this job.
That is one massive nest,wow🇬🇧🐝🐝
The bee killer you used, can you buy that anywhere or do y’all need a special license for it?
No license but a can of cv 80 d will also pentrate threw wall voids
Dafuq you recording with, a tracfone?
Those chemicals seem deadly. May God protect you.
Since the nest is multiple years old there is more than one queen.
How in the hell was that not noticed before it got that bad?
No worries, just trying to adjust my eyes THE WHOLE video.
why is the wall so easily penetrated and why can you peel it??
We have wasps nests in. Canada but not big like that
Great camera work...

What is the name of the bee suit?
I had a yellow jacket under ground nest in my flower bed.
I’ve been watching hornet King videos for a while now, and that nest was bigger than any I have ever seen! Insane 😳
Nice job...mobile homes have alot of crevices...
