In Oct of 2007, I went to Paris with my mom. Earlier that year (June) I was diagnosed with MS. I wasn’t going to let that stop me from going. We spent several days at the Luxembourg Jardin, when I couldn’t manage sightseeing. It’s one of my favorite places on earth! We rented an apartment close to the Moulin Rouge. We even took a side trip to Venice. It will forever be one of my favorite memories.
So sorry you came down with MS. Good for you for not letting it get you down. Bravo.
As an American expat living in Paris, I can relate to your emotions about this city. Even after years here, I’m still enraptured by it. Love your videos. Thanks for all the great style tips. 😁
Do you have any recommendations for where in Paris would be a good place to live for several months?
Hi Erin, Amazing video Erin!! I was in Paris in October 1985 with my French Canadian mother...who only owned 1 pair of jeans her entire life! So when we went back then we dressed up big time (I was 22 and already working in Manhattan). This brought back a lot of nice memories that I can relate to your tears as well.
You went back to Paris looking smoking hot . It’s something to be proud off . Don’t cry you look amazing
I'm so glad you & Chris had a great time in Paris!
I actually love the fact that you don't edit out when you feel emotional & shed some tears. I respect that you always "keep it real", that's what I love about you!
I'm a very emotional person as well, & "wear my heart on my sleeve", as they say.
You looked awesome!, (as always) in all of your outfits. I'm sure you made memories to last a lifetime on your vacation.
Cheryl Bond , I appreciate you more than you can know! Thank you for watching! ~Erin xo
Thank you, Erin for sharing with us the lesser price points of things❤️
I’m a new law school graduate with tons of student loan debt, yet I love to dress up and be stylish. So I love and appreciate your effort to list some things that are more affordable for some of us❤️
Hi Erin, nice to see a secure woman without fear showing Emotion...Great Video, beautiful outfits
In Oct 2024 my husband and I are flying into London for 5 days then off to Parsis for 5 day then to Barcelona for anther 5 days. Then we are getting on the Royal cruise line for 2 weeks to go back to the states with 5 stops along the way. Fort Myers is our final destination. Then home to Ocala FL I'm so flustered about packing in a carry on and what I might need. You have helped me decide what to take. I am more relaxed now. Thank you
Hello, dear Erin, I am rewatching your "What I wore in Paris" video. I am going back to Europe in September and your style and tips always get me excited about the planning part. I am writing to thank you and also to say that you look fabulous in this video. (As always) Your skin looks flawless. I realize this was taped a few years ago, but you don't look any different in your latest videos. Listening to you, seeing you tear up and not try to hide it, or cut it out is refreshing and makes me feel like I am chatting with a girlfriend over an expresso! I am so happy that you were able to go back with Chris and relive some of your memories. You are the best! ❤
Beautiful and classy as always, Erin! It was wonderful that you showed your tears. I'm also a cancerian female, can understand you so well. But our emotion is our strongest power in this cold world💟
Merci Erin for speaking so kindly of your experience in Paris ...I read things like such as " everything is so tiny, tiny streets, tiny cars, tiny flats"etc...you 're a very stylish woman ..even your hair cut looks so French :-) and I wear the same simple cashmere V neck ...I am glad you had a lovely time in Paris ..and you look so Parisian / French wearing your trench and your jeans with ballet flats ...I dress like that almost every day
French women are confident with their own looks, good for themselves, but I like American women for their kindness and friendliness
You are such a natural beauty that even in chinos you must have looked great.
Great video, Erin!! Your looks were gorgeous! Thank you for being vulnerable with us, too, and not editing that part out. I teared up when you were telling that story because I’m also an emotional and sentimental person. 💕
Thank you thank you for all your advices. I appreciate all and I learn something new from all your videos . You are such a classy and down to earth lady . I love your style . Excuse my not so perfect english. ..I am romanian who lives in Italy 😂 . 🌸🌺🌸
I love Erin’s videos and I am a hungarian who lives in Germany 🌷🥰 And I am in love with Paris 😍
I want your sneakers, where can I buy them.
I teared up watching you get emotional. There is nothing like tears of reflection that comes from a place of gratitude and accomplishment. I love all the links too!
Thank you! You are so kind! xo
Your videos are so helpful. It's so good to know what actually works when one is on tour, not just what the local people wear. Ballet flats are fine for a woman who lives in Paris, who rides the metro, gets off near her office, and walks a few more blocks from there. But when one is just visiting, we want to walk everywhere and see everything. So super-comfie shoes are a must. It's great to hear something from this perspective.
Hi Erin. You looks as always very stunning. All your clothes are beautiful on you. Thanks for your recordings in Paris. A wonderful city.
Thank you SO much! Paris is a wonderful city, indeed. xo
🌻🌻So beautiful Erin! Thank you.
Now, we ladies need help with how you assisted Chris with guy shopping and dressing PLEASE!! 🌻🌻
Hi Erin,
I loved this video. You looked amazing in all the outfits! It was so wonderful that you were able to take this trip with your husband that brought back a lot of great memories and broght you such happiness!👍💖
Erin, all your outfits were lovely. I loved that you took a capsule but each outfit had a look all it's own. I wear a lot of Vionic shoes that are made for comfort and support. We recently took a trip to Ireland, where we walked a lot, and I had no trouble at all. Of course, I didn't try walking long distances in heels, but my ballet flats worked well. Thanks for all the advice and I always look forward to your videos.
Lisa Chandler totally agree about Vionics being very supportive and comfortable shoes.
I’m watching this video from year ago and just had to comment. I have been so blessed to have traveled numerous times to Paris over the decades. I make it a point to stay at least 10 days to two weeks each time to fit in as much as possible. Every trip has been a dream come true. I feel that you were spot on about the fashion of French women. Whenever I’ve gone, I make a point of hitting as many shops and department stores as well as consignment shops that I can possibly fit in. One of my most treasured items that was purchased there 16 years ago was an Anne Fontaine white blouse that still thrills me whenever I wear it. January is also one of my favorite times to go when the countrywide SOLDES (sales) are on. For women like me on tight budgets, it is a shoppers paradise for French fashion. I love your shows. I love your style. And I cherish your knowledge and sincerity. 👏🏻🥰👏🏻 from Suzanne in Seattle.
Thank you so much, Suzanne! You are so sweet! xo
Salut, Erin. Je savais pas que tu parlais français, et que tu avais vécue à Paris. On a beaucoup de choses en commun toutes les deux, car moi j’ai vécue à Paris aussi, et j’ai habité à San Antonio. We go to Paris every year, and we take our daughter with us. It doesn’t really matter how many times we’ve been there, we always, always, always walk a lot and take the Métro, too. Sam Edelman flats always do the trick, and being specific I’m talking about a pair of nude ballerinas from Circus by Sam Edelman. Chaque une de tes tenues étaient superbe et jolie, and I’m not kidding when I say “every single outfit”. Hugs from Houston.
Fabulous pictures! You have a very sweet spirit! Wished that I could afford such a trip! My eyes glazed over the cost and I just couldn't think about it.... I'm happy for you and the opportunity for this trip down memory lane! Merci!
I love Paris! I taught a photography workshop there over a decade ago. Traveled there for vacays several times. It’s really unlike any other city. Thank you for a great video! Love your J Brand jeans!
Thank you, Kim! xo
Beautiful capsule dressing for travel! Lovely
Thank you! xo
You should wear red more often. That red dress was STUNNING on you! Beautiful pics, thanks for sharing your trip.
Erin, I loved seeing all the lovely clothes you wore in Paris. Amazingly I also just returned from Paris and I will post my video about the outfits I packed for the trip next week. I loved seeing all of your high-end, lovely fashions, and I'm sure you and Chris had a very romantic trip. Since I went with the family, the outfits I took were much more casual and reasonably priced...lots of Gap and Old Navy, along with the requisite Moto Jacket and several colorful scarves. You are right - black booties were everywhere! You at least had one day which was rain free. I think it rained on us EVERY day! LOL! Paris is truly an amazingly beautiful city and the Parisian women are truly amazing. Love your channel so much. Loved seeing your lovely poster in Ulta recently!!! 💝💝💝
Erin, I was so touched by your emotion about your stay as a student, and I cannot imagine you looking horrible then, since you are such a wonderful woman 😉 I love all your outfits, and the versatility of what you brought, also the fact that everything was in the beige and white colour tones, which looks more joyful ( although, living in Paris, I know that the weather these weeks has not been joyful at all !). Thank you for the inspiration and tips you gave, I will surely use them when I plan a short trip like yours in a city. I also loved the video about packing ! Could please give the information about the bag you used on the plane ( not your handbag, the big fluffy one : seems great !) Thank you 😁👍🏻
Great video! I loved my Naturalizer Thea platform espadrilles last year in France. Walked all over everyday without sore feet. Ultra cushy padding and stylish. Went with shorts, cropped pants, and skirts.
Thank you SO much for watching! Erin xo
I am so happy for you , I can tell how much that trip meant to you . I have wanted to go but can’t ever ,that’s ok . I enjoy so much watching other people enjoying there time . Please do a video on the most comfortable shoes I care for my adult son with autism and am always on my feet . When I’m out in public I want to look put together not frazzled ,even if I have to run at a moments notice .
So I love that you showed your human emotions 💕 the rest is just icing at this point for me. Still valuable but thank you for being genuine 💕
You are SO sweet!! xo
🌸👍🏼 Beautiful 🌸👍🏼 You always are... Thanks for sharing your trip with your husband. 🌹Sending hugs, prayers, love & kindness 🌸🙏🏼👍🏼💕🌸
I could feel your feelings. Doesn't it make you proud to know how far you've come. That's what life is all about. I absolutely love Paris. We rented an apt for 2 weeks on the Left Bank directly across from Notre Dame to celebrate my 70th birthday. Almost wore out a pair of shoes we walked so much. I'll never forget it. Enuf. Your hair in the last vids is gorgeous - have you had a new haircut? So becoming!
We were in France late June 2019. I agree you must check the weather before leaving! Huge heat wave while we were there, plus a lot of French hotels don’t have AC. I wore floaty dresses with platform sneakers the entire trip. Most Frenchwomen were dressed the same. I’ve traveled to France 6 times over the last 30 yrs and French women are dressing more like Americans in jeans moto jackets and vans or converse sneaks. Older women upped the game in navy blazers with jeans. You looked very chic!
Thank you, Kris! xo
Erin I just love it that you cry about little or not so little memories... that is what makes you so real, and so good at this helping people be the best that they can be thing!! Keep it up, your videos are super inspiring and helpful on so many different levels!!
Ooooh la la, you look so beautiful, love the scarf, those jeans and coat, wow you rock em' thank you for sharing your trip x
First, I love how real you are, your tears are sincere. Second, I plan my travel wardrobe around my shoes. I limit my shoes to three pair, are plan coordinating outfits. Makes traveling much lighter.
Yes... that’s smart! The shoes are an awesome place to start. I pick a color story first and build everything around those colors including shoes. But frankly, shoes are the most important thing!
You look STUNNING in every look. I will be off to Paris in September and I needed this video!!
Loved this video! Totally agree abt comfortable shoes. In our 20's, my husband & I spent a romantic weekend in New Orleans. My most vivid memory still is how bad my feet hurt! I painfully learned a good lesson then. NEVER travel without at least one pair of "ALWAYS COMFORTABLE" shoes!! Even if they don't "go" with every outfit! Thanks for showing how you put your outfits together so you had a variety of options or interchangeable pieces if the weather didnt cooperate! I now have a different perspective on packing! You're an inspiration!😊💞💞
Love hearing the perspective that 20+ years, plus comfort in your own skin brings - I felt the same when I returned to London recently where I also studied in my early 20’s (with a student’s budget!) - it was so wonderful to return at a different stage of my life (and with the budget to truly enjoy it!). Loved each of your outfits!
Bless you heart... I can totally understand you... europeans can be so cold and I can understand how strong you are now compared to that teenager back in the day. Congratulations! You did it! 😘😘😘😘😘
Thank you SO much Erin
It looks like you had a wonderful time creating new memories 💕 Beautiful outfits
I have found SAS Maria’s are comfortable for me. I can walk all day and evening. But of course for formal events I would wear a more formal shoe.
Outfit #1 is so lovely on you and that Ghivago dress is absolutely stunning! Wow, it's such a great dress to have in a wardrobe! Great photos of your trip also... you look so happy!
Thank you Erin for sharing! Love the video, and love the outfits you put together! I used to live in Paris in the sixties and have a lot of fun memories! ❤️😍👍
Loved it! Got to go to Paris a couple of times when we were stationed in Belgium. I was happy to see your choices, as I had wanted to “fit in” there, I wore pants, nice boots, white top with a scarf and trench coat! You’d have approved!
Sounds perfect...what a beautiful city! xo
I am a petite and slim woman but I never look as “streamlined” as you!! please share more tips on what to look out for when buying clothes as a petite!
I love your nostalgia! How sweet
I love all the outfits! 💜Except for the ugly shoes...not sure I’ll ever be able to wrap my head around those 😬
I love the outfits! Curious to know what your husband wears on trips like that when you dress up. Would be cool to see pics of you together on those occasions.
I’m in Paris right now! How fun to watch this while I am here :)
Erin, I loved hearing how much it meant to you to return to Paris, that was so sweet. I went with my husband for the first time last year, I hope we get to go back again- such a beautiful city. It's good to reflect on your journey. You are such a beautiful, kind, classy woman. I love all your tips and tricks and while I can not emulate your style I always pick up something from your videos. 😍
I agree... it really comes from a place of absolute gratitude. I’m SO thankful for the journey and how far I’ve come. (With much more than just style) 😊
I grew up in Paris. Just to say..... YOU MADE US PROUD😍. Looks were appropriate and elegant. Goooood YOU❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for showing the dress anyway, even though you changed! Lovely!
What an awesome trip, Erin! Thank you so much for sharing. I loved all your outfits, but I especially love the first-night red dress with the white blazer! WOW so very chic!!!
Chic, and beautiful! Paris is always wonderful!
Fabulous trip and outfits Erin! I’m loving how chic your outfits looked - but of course you’re a beautiful lady. Love your style! Keep showing us how to do it. As I said before, you are my personal stylist!
BEAUTIFUL! Scarves & eyeglasses are a huge game changer so I pick wisely. Layers work great as you can discard if needed. The jeans & lace shirt was so gorgeous!Great to see your Mr.
Thank you for another lovely and very personal video, Erin! You looked so stylish in all of your ensembles; I love the way you mesh current fashion with timeless, Jackie-O classic style.
That red dress; STUNNING! I have a feeling I will cry when I arrived in Paris too for different reasons, but to actually be there, a place I have dreamt about my entire adult life.
You TOTALLY ROCKED French chic and elegant! Wow! Every outfit on (French) point! Quite a long way from Gap Chinos.... lol. Bet u looked cute then, too! Oh... and that scarf with your trench is gorgeous!
Oh Erin. I love your authenticity. That's why I keep coming back to your channel. How special to go back and be in such a different 'inner space'. This time, you so fitted in to the chic Parisian style . B&M xo
special story..thanks for sharing...I know that experience of seeing those inspiring Parisian ladies very well !!! You looked incredible every day.
love the introduction....your raw emotion is moving!
You are a beautiful soul
I love your sensitivity
You inspire me every time I watch you! Your outfits were amazing in Paris. Merci💕
TheRayjane , I appreciate you more than you can know! Thank you for watching! ~Erin xo
Just so you know there is another person here who had her own Paris experience and ... teared up too. Totally get it , Big hug!
You were chic and beautiful every day! J'adore Paris!
Lovely outfits Erin! So elegant and sophisticated. Also, your “ugly” sneakers are actually very nice. Cutest pair I’ve seen. I love the color way!
First of all, I like her, because she's really genuine. And 2nd of all, like the outfits.
How wonderful that you were able to return to a place that means so much to you. You looked beautiful in everything. The red and white outfit was especially stunning. Thank you for sharing the lovely scenery, as well. Makes we want to go back to Paris! - xx, Carla
So..I had to get covid to discover you Erin
...but watching your videos has renewed my passion for fashion ...I worked part time in a store called Dillard's when I was younger selling clothes. Wound up being a merchant assistant and had a knack for matching people to clothes. Maybe I should have pursued being a wardrobe stylist too but finished bachelor's in education. But I still love fashion and I'm wanting to purchase some pieces from the websites you mentioned. Thanks for reminding me of a huge part of myself!
Thank you so much for sharing that with me, Jennifer! So sorry to hear that you're sick, but I am so glad you're here in this AMAZING community of women...I'm honored to be just a small part of getting you back into fashion! Thanks for watching. xo
You looked beautiful. I was in Paris May 19 to 27. I agree with the sneakers. The European sneakers are so chic. I wanted to come home with a pair but couldn’t find my size.
You were so sweet when tearing up about your trip. It was obvious the trip meant a lot to you. Your looks were amazing, Erin. I would love to visit Paris, but don't know if it will ever happen. But, there are many amazing places to visit in our beautiful country. Where are you off to next?
Simply amazing! You looked so chic every day. I cannot believe you managed that with a carryon! You are my packing idol 😌
Yay! You're in Paris! Paris is my hometown. I was born and raised in the 17ème arrondissement. You were very elegant in the streets of Paris. We, Parisian women, walk a lot and manage to wear comfy shoes, boots or sneakers, depending on the weather. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip. Thank you for sharing. Bisous 🇫🇷😘
Thank you so much! What was it like to grow up in Paris!? Would love to know more!
@@BusbeeStyle I'm much older than you, Erin. I was born in 1956 and Paris in the 50s and 60s was different from what it currently does. Quiter, less people, less cars, more "provincial" I'd say with a lot of little shops and only a few department stores as les Galeries Lafayette and le Printemps. It was a great place to grow up.
I love your channel. ❤️ You are so genuine, so real, I appreciate your time and advice.
Oh my goodness Erin, you look so beautiful and chic in all of these looks. Thank you for sharing your trip with us. I Simply LOVE your, “what I wore” videos.
Thank you SO much for watching! Erin xo
You did again ! Such a great video, a lot of good tips and beautiful outfits! I understand why you can't help to get tear out, because when you overcome a lot things and finally successful, you and only yourself remerber those difficult time you being through. Love your style and personality. 😊
Wow, you’re amazing. GOALS! So happy for you! I think it’s sweet this trip meant so much to you. You looked stunning.
So lovely!! You mentioned that you were more pastel compared to the Parisians but I think you looked perfect...and that red dress was spectacular!!! It was seven years ago this week that I was in Paris with my daughter and husband...good memories!! Thanks for sharing.
You look absolutely fabulous in all the outfits ! Very chic and classy 👌
Thank you so much! xo
Great looks, lady!! 💕 I’m going to Paris for my honeymoon in July and this is great inspiration!
I really, really love your style.I watch a lot of your video lately,my favorite is the same blue Jean and the white T-Shirt with 10 different look.I love it,because they are very simple and they go with my life style.Thankyou so much for all your work.❤️👍😀
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked that one, Karen! xo
Love this video I'm Irish, we dress very different British Isles,US and French... I lived in Paris and travel there alot one thing I noticed is shoes wise they were more like tennis shoes than Americans were trainers, irish/uk will were stilletos Saturday night going to a regular bar there are places like that in Paris but it's more understated and comfortable.. Less hair extensions, fake tan, uncomfortable shpes, cleavage... That'd not me poking fun at the British Isles Liverpool, Dublin, Newcastle style is fun and great to go all out but I've heard French/continental friends say 'Irish girls are lovely and friendly but why do they dress like salups' (aka trashy)... We dress for each other not guys and to be current/ push boundaries but it's heavy to carry stilettos in luggage, makeup is less caked most French women I know its a dab of foundation, mascara, lipstick...
Hope I don't offend anyone but I hope it cuts back spending, luggage fees on French trips nice jeans and blouses on nights out covered with cardigans and long plain blazer or sweater is fine in Paris too.. Don't panic!
A master class for a travel capsule wardrobe- tres bien 🙂👏🏻👏🏻
Erin,
Your emotions truly express how much Paris 🗼 means to you.( then and now)
Lovvvve your classy chic shoes 👡 with the pearl accent heel.....Lovvvve.
Your white lace blouse was a knock out ✨👏✨
Your taste in fashion👗 is totally exquisite.👌🏼
Thank you again.....sooo enjoyable.🙋🏼🇨🇦
That is SO sweet of you, thank you so much! ~Erin xo
Erin , you looked fantastic everyday and all weather!!! You look so chic and effortless though those of us who follow you know a lot of thought went into your selection. Thank you so much!!!!
Glad I watched it, even though I won't go to Paris any time soon. It warmed my heart to see, how emotional it made you and how much this trip meant to you.
Your trenchcoat outfit was a inspiration for me to get on the hunt to find a one that looks good on me. To find the best beige that goes with my complexion is not easy but I found the perfect one, expensive looking at h&m. Thanks for taking us around, I love Paris!
LOVE IT ALL ;-) so sweet to return to Paris, and you look beautiful! I would love to know your sunglasses as well ;-)
Naomi Scott the sunglasses were a standout weren’t they!
Erin, loved all the outfits! I was in Paris a few years ago and will be back this year...can't wait! Holy grail flats for me our AGL's...can't be beat for walking long distances and still looking chic. Thanks for sharing the photos and bringing back some nice memories for me.
You should have also shown what you wore back when you were 21 and lived in Paris. I'd would love to see the comparison
I just got back from Paris too! 20th wedding anniversary trip! You have inspired my style so much! I had a mission to get a nice statement belt. Wanted the Hermès “H” but it was out of my price range. Went to Galleries de Layfette and thought of you when I bought my Salvatore Ferragamo belt! I love it! Love your vlogs and your style! THANK YOU!
Super chic in the black jeans trench and scarf!
Great tips!!!! LOVE your outfits💖💖💖💖
You looked stunning and chic! Paris is definitely on my bucket list
I like the sweater you're wearing in this video- low v-neck and the longish sleeves, camel color and looks soft, can you tell me the brand?
I loved the outfits u put together for your trip. You looked beautiful !! So classy !
Erin, thank you for sharing this trip and story with us. We all have that place we love. The clothes and views are so beautiful.
