I don't understand how they could've engineered this combat system...
It's so insanely dimensional, and after 200 hours and platinum I am still learning new things. Like how??
It was a similar effect with the OG FF7 before the internet was huge figuring out different materia combinations, its fantastic how they expanded on it.

People complain about hard difficulty being too much but seeing someone solve that problem is amazing. You have true understanding of the game's mechanics especially the use of berserk.

Incredible run. I loved those setups with Turbulent Spirit activating Corsair's Compass. I'm so glad that Barret can do no damage runs now. It's an uphill battle, but at least it's possible.

Something so satisfying about spending 3 ATB on maximum fury and watching the health chunk away. Plus all that extra ATB to throw out stuff like berserk and time is very valuable.
Barret is in a much better place than he was in Remake, Bonus Rounds and Perfect Block make a world of difference for him. Even lifesaver boosting HP is a very nice touch

The Corsairs Compass with the three ATB Maximum fury is wild
What makes this so? It still only takes two bars it looks like
@richizzle39 the compass gives an additional ATB bar when performing 5 or more commands. So for Maximum Fury which depletes all your bars does an insane amount of damage
I’ve tested it. Does the same amount of damage. It appears that the game splits the two ATB bars into three actions, but won’t increase maximum fury’s damage output by a third.
That’s not true. Maximum fury does about 50% more damage with 3 charges as opposed to 2, as does Point Blank and Lifeblood Cannon.
Though in this game it might make more shots at 3 ATB instead of flat increasing the damage, I’d have to try it

Wooah i like Barret desygn and interpretation a lot in remake, the gameplay is not fast and flashy as others have but i like a lot too, im glad to watch how he is going so far better in rebirth over remake... When i start my game i want enjoy a lot barret and red :3

It's honestly insane to see what some skilled players are capable of with this game. I thought I was fairly decent, and then you see plays like this which show it's nothing in comparison.

Does Berserk timer stop as well as the Stagger bar when you cast Stop?
Yes, all debuffs and buffs freeze at their current duration and none can be applied until drop wears off

I finally literally JUST NOW beat this….
Once I stopped trying to perfect parry the beam for the Hellrider I stopped getting messed up.
It’s nuts too how even something as small as using Sonic Boom before doing Max Fury makes such a big difference.
I replaced Enemy Skill with Chakra…..because I’m not quite to your level yet lol
@@fearlesscheshirecat1411id say under normal circumstances chakra is god tier on barret. Lifesaver + Chakra is so good in party play. Some characters have weapons that buff duration of all buffs you cast. Think red and aerith each have a weapon that can have +50%, which is another level with lifesaver + chakra on barret as you just manaward everyone then absorb it all to barret with 9999 hp and double chakra when low.
Of course, I’m literally pulling all the stops to avoid damage. Normal play that wouldn’t be so.
I’ve been trying to do no damage bonds of friendship, but I can’t create a solid plan beyond Kujata. Ferocious lion is hard AF to avoid 100% for 2 characters, and Bahamut and Odin are major roadblocks without HP-MP Swap to burst them and stunlock them. But getting to practice them with it is a nightmare. None of them can be stopped, which for me has been key in consistently pulling off specific strategies. Can’t do stuff like aga stunlock spam because 2 characters and no arcane ward means that’s not possible.
Might skip the No damage portion cuz I just want to show off the cool Zack-Cloud combos I’ve been cooking. Maybe just no healing.
This was a fun way to beat the challenge. Took a while to get the timing right for the last guy but got it!

I keep getting so close to killing the turtle with this set up. Maybe I need that little extra 5% from str up being 4/5. Awesome strat tho man! Props for sure.

Thanks! Happy to hear it. Mileage may vary depending on the fight, I don’t know how easy some of the others are to replicate, particularly without max weapon level
@2052brad Your strat still works very well with weapon level 8, I had few issues once I started nailing the execution. For most that didn't take long. Cait Sith's was a bit tough, as I hadn't taken the time to fully learn him yet..but I can say I know him better now.
Speaking of, don't know if you saw the question on his video, but can you manually blow up Moogle Kaboom, or are you just an expert at timing its use to enemy attacks? It seemed like you made it explode right when you got away, was wondering if there's a way to force the detonation.
@Ultinarok47 dodge n dive instantly kills off the moogle and refills most of its cost and when it connects, or fills more than it costs if you dodge something with it
@2052brad So you used Dodge N Dive to blow up the Moogle Kaboom! I never tried experimenting with that before. That's brilliant, will have to keep that in mind for the Cait Sith solo in chapter 11.

What do you do if the Adamantoise goes for Barrier first instead of Manaward?
I don’t really think it makes much of a difference since barrier disappears when he staggers, might take an extra attack at the end

It’s not a guide, I can do it however fast I want. If you can’t keep up, that’s not my problem. Really isn’t that difficult to follow considering it’s one character with really obvious animations.

The last round is not cooperating with me at all... been at this for like 4 days. Great guide. But the monsters move set is all over the place. Plus his button imput is hella fast. And watchin a video and doing this at the same time even pausing it thru out is tough. Edit: I FINALLY did it. I just had to be hella quick the the button inputs. Thank again. Your gonna get me my platinum for this game wit ur videos!!!!

Just a visual display bug in the older versions. It’s only 24 MP, which is still 30%
2:51 How do you deal so much damages?! I tried with the same build and I only do 300/hits
Max weapon level increases damage a lot and use strength up materia with elemental materia paired with weakness to increase damage massively.
Did you hit him with berserk? Make sure you use berserk before you cast stop on him stop when staggered or else it won’t have any effect.
Ensure your Maximum Fury uses 3 Segments.
