Thank you for this! This is a super duper stylized flamingo painting - a really new and artsy approach to painting flamingos! I'm going to try this one soon! Thank you! Praise God!
You are such a natural teacher, you explain in a way that's understandable. You remind me of my TD teacher from school...(a long while back) Mr. Maguire...he was VERY Welsh.. A big bear of a man, 6ft 6 high and a tank wide lol but he had a gentle way about him, a very quiet but confident voice, Until he started singing!! A Cliche but true!! Maybe that's why I've taken such a shine to your tutelage. I love learning from you. Thank you. ( I failed TD..my fault, not Mr.Magee lol )
I appreciate your demo showing how to smooth out and lay in the background. But, Clive, Flamingos have beautiful curves to those necks. I haven't seen them looking like heads on a stick. These are definitely your interpretation.
I love that you use color grounds I normally only put down a thin layer of acrylic but have a bunch of gesso maybe I will start doing grounds it would be like giving an extra layer of Gesso!
Clive, this painting is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!! (In America, that's a GOOD thing, lol)_ I SO want to do this and I'm going to practice drawing the flamingos. Thank you so much for this lesson!
Clive what I do to help mix gesso or other mediums is place a glass ball ,smaller then marbles , used for decorative purposes ,place them into the container it mixes the product really well.k
Enjoyed watching this Clive and thought I'd try it today. Unfortunately the sun stopped play! It was so hot in my studio (smaller version of yours) that the paint was drying as it touched the canvas. Finished the background and took the dogs to the beach. 😎
Another beautiful painting! I mentioned this one to my girlfriend and she begged me to paint it for her. She doesn't have to beg! lol It will be hard to give it to her. :D
Hi Clive, I like your tutorials very much....you are a good teacher!!! About the flamingo’s....I live on a Dutch Caribbean island...it’s called...Bonaire. (Not as famous as our neighbour islands ...Aruba or Curaçao) but well known along divers...as it is a divers paradise .....but besides our corals and fishes in the aqua coloured blue warm sea we also have a lot of beautiful nature and wildlife on the island it self. We have wild donkeys, parrots, goats, pelicans but also flamingo’s living here...beautiful birds....a little bit shy...they don’t want you to come to near....but they are beautiful to watch from a distance!!! Warm and sunny greetings from Bonaire🌴🌞🌴 Joan
+Griffin GFX did a bit several years ago with a Wacom tablet when they first came out did slot of Photoshop won a competition in the photoshop magazine when I was a doing weddings ect my friend Jacob Bowen dies a lot of digital art I enjoy the paint too much lol
CLIVE5ART I get that, although you can get really messy with digital painting and just mess around on the canvas, or even move a real painting into photoshop to clean some stuff up.
Quite clever to have your own music added to the video! Definitely gives a pop and welcoming vibe to the demonstration. Great color explanation on the blends. Yes, the timing on the dry time is crucial to understand how to work in acrylic. I love the speed, but there are some limits because you have to work in small areas to get the same blends that oils would be on a grander scale. If you have a chance to check my demos, I would appreciate it. All the best!
Painting is looks so real . I like it . Nicely explaine

Wow sounds like a fantastic place I did a lot of diving before my stroke but never got over to your part of the world
Ever considered moving to digital artwork? Using your skill and moving them to a drawing tablet and photoshop?

Hello Clive, just started painting with your channel, but what pencil do you use as i find it difficult to Draw onto the painting, thank you
I used a soft lead 4b or a water colour pencil as it’s soft
How can I get a drawing of the orca/whale so I can paint it
I did put one on the website www.clive5art.co.uk it should still be there
sorry to ask this question again but what size canvas are you using?thank you
