Definitely my era. 87-89,90? Really miss those days I'm 48 now n been back on tha ole plank for almost 4yrs now give or take. Still not tha same fool I was, but I hit some smells, feelings,an warmth of tha sun as I'm pushing like a pro thru n old hood or some sidewalk. Feels fookin good. Takes me back for real until reality sets in. But tha good news is that I'm making more memories n I may b better than what I was wit dis grown man strength hahahaha, seriously though
Jeff Kendall was such an underrated skater in my opinion. I believe didn't receive th.e hype he deserved because for what ever reason was overlooked by the skating community.
Tricks are technically way harder than style. Style just comes with repetition and practice. Kendall wasn’t underrated. He had a pro board with Santa Cruz so clearly someone somewhere thought he was pro level.
He rips! I rode the “angry pumpkin” board when I was 13, I still remember buying it and putting on the grip tape in the store. Ojai Ca, thanks for putting these clips up.
Had a few Kendall decks when I was younger, the graffiti ones, really loved the shape. However I didn’t know much about Kendall other than a few photos and ads in the mag. It wasn’t until I saw him skate the Kennedy warehouse in San Jose circa 90-91ish that I was introduced to what a powerhouse he was on vert! He would take these runs that were just absolutely flawless, 20-30 walls, no joke, just blasting, lip tricks like a surgeon, and of course the most styled inverts you ever seen. Pretty quiet dude, seemed down to earth, definitely not a loudmouth, or dick, like few other pros. But will say he could snake with the best of them, it’s all good though.
Great vert skater and potential to build some quarterpipe and training to skating on vert ramp will creating more air of landing a lip trick in the quarterpipe, Jeff Kendall is a legend!
And I should’ve looked back to see what color shirt Hedges was wearing because I was still buzzing over his inverts. I’m assuming that’s Bod Boyle then?
How is Kendall not in the Skate hall of fame?? Kasai is, Ron Allen, Steve Steadam is. john Lucero is. You can't tell me Kendall is not way better than those guys overall..

Such an awesome under rated skater
Jeff Kendall was never underrated! He was well known as one of the best skaters on the planet. 🤙
As cab said that guy rules😊

too many of these more popular skaters were rated by their tricks and not their style. I prefer kendalls style all day long

Him and Dressen both were Complete Shredders that should’ve gotten more hype🛹🫡👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
@@robfromvan Actually, several boards. At least 5. And all of them with great graphics. I had the snake one. My first board. A beauty.
@@jdmresearch Same here... i have the reissue hanging on my wall
To this date I don't think someone even did a proper tribute to him. Thanks for doing it so well.

Kazoo had the goods everywhere, all the time ! Super underrated and a naturally gifted hard working shredder !
he was included on my top 10 tier starting my sb journey, thanks for this
Developed in the USA loved by Brazilians. Hug
Killer year/summer to be skating.

Cool this is exactly the skateboarding I grew up with.
Greatest handplants ever.🤘
Most stylish Smith Vert ever
I was there at Munster89 as a spectator: he was absolutely killing it during that contest!
Love it!
My first pro skateboard was the Kendall wolf. Do you know if he still skates? Next time I’m in Santa Cruz I would love to meet him. 😊
I know he's like one of the honchos at the mountain bike shop. You could definitely find him there. Santa Cruz bikes.
I remember my first Jeff Kendall skateboard if I can remember correctly I think it's the one with the pumpkin on it
just noticed at munster vert contest jeff has tony Magnusson's deck "kid with cross"!! have that deck on my wall lol
The last two runs of the video are T. Mag and T. Hawk who took 2nd and 1st respectively.
Vert skating then never fails to amaze me, handflip on a handplant is just insane
The outdoors concrete pool in Münster is [was?] unforgiving.
Yeah, that thing looks difficult.
And that is how you become the CEO for NHS. Love skateboarding and go all in on everything you do.
Unlike his California counterparts, people from Indiana are not flaky and actually show up to work is more like it.
Guess who.. 👀

How do you get up to the top of that vert wall by just pushing 😆 insane
Just have em skate and throw dollars in!!!$$$$
About a decade later skateparks would tighten up distance between ramps, due to learning about pump&flow.
