well played! i too am a fan/student of chuck, particularly as played by keith. although this ya yas version is certainly good, there's an outtake version from the Gimme Shelter dvd i feel is even better. i also highly recommend 'johnny b goode' from 'hail hail rock n roll' (chuck's 60th bday concert celebration, produced by keith), and of course 'carol' from the same 'get yer ya yas out' album as this LQ. i hope you're still playing and having fun!
Jim... I never knew there was an Gimme Shelter : Out takes DVD....dude....That is my favorite movie of all time.....I saw it when it first came out in the theaters...in 1971...(came out Dec 1970...Im sure our hometown got it about 6 months later) but ....I could watch that movie over and over.......Thanks for the info Jim ....Looks like one of my nephews is gettin this for Christmas...ahahaha
I've heard that Keith added another guitar in the studio but after I've seen you Do the solo I see how it's done and it's really not hard to do You gotta be quick and accurate
There's been a lot of studio overdubs on Get yer yaya's out and Little Queenie is no exception. Small concert flaws or sound issues were corrected, licks were improved, solos were re-recorded etc.. What you hear on bootlegs is quite similar in terms of ideas and playing, just less perfect. The final product is like a best of of whatever happened on 30 versions of Little Queenie during this tour, combined with best of of "more relaxed" studio takes :-)
@@jcgood No, the Gibson custom shop "did". At least, one can actually see the "original" Kluson holes in the wood, which is a bit.. too much if you ask me :-)
@@jcgood Waow that's great !!! You have a superb Taylor touch ! I'm quite far from there but I want to learn Sway now (only done the rythmic part recently, and that's originally Jagger's)
