I love these mom and pop shops. Its good to see people working
Seacraft rebuilder was a old school glass guy. Times have changed old man
I just put a new Yamaha 350 on our 76' 24 ft dusky. We've rebuilt a 68' 31 Bertram, a 70s model mako, but our 24 dusky is my favorite. We had a little issue with how wet the boat was. I think the boat had a old 175 HP motor on a bracket, which couldn't hold the new 350, which I believe made the bow burry in the water. The older boats that where built before trim tabs were a thing, have what they call a hook built into the hull, to make it trim up. We filled in the hook and added anew pvc splash rail and now you can't get wet if you tried. The boat is a tank! Last time we went out it was so ruff, we broke a tower leg. But I can guarantee that you will not have a back ache the next day. Solid boat.
I'm having the same issue on my 77 dusky burying in rough seas, but it is a tank and I love dusky, gotta figure it out.
I dig this format better actually. It exposes more reputable businesses in the area and not stuffing the pockets of just one. From a DIY'er perspective, seeing how more people do this kind of works is giving me way more knowledge on how to attempt restoring mine and my buddies boats in the near future. The production quality is the same, if not slightly better in this season. Change is hard for some, but i welcome it. The wiring job L&H did was just as solid, and more in depth in terms of explanation. just my 2 cents.
"We registered at West Marine", said the best wife ever.
Guess that brand new motor on the back of that dusky was free
Great to see a real craftsman electrical engineer .
Welcome back. I think this is the best show to date. I loved Brian and the crew, but I like the variety of this format better
That paint job is spectacular. Nicely done!!
Beautiful electrical/wire work.
The flair on the dusty is crazy!
That’s what I was thinking as well. Looks like a very dry boat.
Yes! I love dusky, I've owned a 23.6 and I currently have a 22.7, I love the flare and the room on the bow
I love this show , hope you can bring new builds new Restorations new projects in the future.
I can’t wait to see the finished venture.
Long time fan, I agree that i miss the old guys, but the new guys are fucking skilled. I am def. Continuing watching this!👌👌
Great to see quality tradesmen doing quality work instead of rubbish reality tv nonsense
I miss hearing “today Brian and the crew”
Wondering what happened
he has his own Channel Now Go check them out!
Portagee Diver ...he has a channel with only intro video and nothing recent
Idk man but no reel time and not the same project dreamboat crew makes me lose interest in this channel
@@slange455 well hopefully getting hit with a bunch of new subs will push them to kick some new stuff out.
Best show ever!!
I like doing transoms in layers 3/8 or 1/2 three layers epoxy mat between layers. Even if the wood rots one layer there are two other layers plus a thickness of glass for strength. Really like not putting the wood all the way to the bottom excellent idea.
Have one of these shops show us how to make a outboard/swim deck bracket off the transom.
Yeah, one of the older episode actually shows the construction....cant remember which one. Found this show last week and binged all the episodes this past weekend lol
raymond Moore if you find it let me know man. I’ve been watching this show for 2 years and don’t remember them showing how to construct one. Only install the pre fabricated ones
great, you know how to do a transom. Small stripes are done first less masking
FINALLY!!!
19:00 Anyone else notice their painter’s coveralls turn from white to a wet gray?
Heck yeah!!
About time
Nice 👍🏾
Can the shaft be aligned on the Billy Knowles 36 out of the water?
Where is MCU?! Cmon
What happened to Brian and the crew ?:(
he has his own Channel Now Go check them out!
@@portageediver8252 whats the name on his channel???????
@@kidd_ot7855 its Marine Customs Unlimited... they only have one video so far but im hoping hitting them with hella Subs will get them rolling.
how did he re power and re paint re do the floor the hall the console all for 16k wouldn't a 250 modern engine be 16k alone ?
Why is Florida Sportsman project dreamboat not filmed at MCU anymore?
Why not go composite?
Money is my guess
Wow the guys working with polyester without masks.....
Wheres MCU!!!! What the hell
he has his own Channel Now Go check them out!
@@portageediver8252 where?
@@hugovieweg Marine Customs Unlimited Channel... they only have one vid so far but im sure they are working on something
Why do people always have to ruin a good thing they had going?!
he has his own Channel Now Go check them out!
Portagee Diver what is the channel called
Why the hell would anyone use wood in a glass boat when doing a rebuild ever, that just does not make sence ,, its a recipe for disaster
FIAT.. fix it again tomorrow
10 26 Michael Jordans boat
Canada THOSE charcoal masks are illegal has to be fresh air mask I use a Sata mask
Uhh, disappointed in this from the get go. I didnt need a discussion of wiring and voltage drop. This show is nothing like the old shows. Only part that was decent was the dreamboat project part. Sorry, this didnt "hit the mark" for me.
No MCU=No Care. My guess is Brian's MAGA hat finally triggered the wrong snowflake. Unsubscribed. Best of luck.
Lol sounds like you're that snowflake that got triggered
