Nancy is privileged cause she's rich, Jonathan is privileged cause he's a man. She doesn't know what's like to actually need the money and he doesn't know how humiliating and miserable is it to be a woman working in a sexist environment, surrounded by men. they just really needed to see each other's point of view and understand how hard it is for both of them.

Jonathan saw the sexism, but he's coming at it from a class disparity angle. He can't afford to stand up against what he knows is wrong because he needs to help his family stay afloat. Jonathan having to help Joyce with everything has been a thing since season one. He wasn't there when Will was taken because he was working an extra shift to help out. His point was that people in vulnerable positions do not have the luxury of putting morals before a paycheck. For Nancy, it was just an internship. It doesn't matter, because she'll always have her parents to fall back on. She was humiliated, but she didn't NEED that job. Meanwhile, Jonathan DOES need that job because he has to find a way to help with the bills, with Will's things, and try to scrap something together for college. Nancy doesn't have to worry about any of that.
Still Jonathan could find another job, he didn't do anything when he saw that, on the other hand Steve would have said something, I know he's rich but even if he was in Jonathan's position he would have said something to them

@@vicenteenriquez149 finding another job takes time. He helps his mother with bills. In the mean time that’s a whole weeks paycheck that he goes not get until he finds a new job (at minimum) maybe even more. For families that live paycheck to paycheck that’s still a lot of much needed money . Like said in the previous comment Jonathan cannot simple rely completely on his mother because he’s helping her in order for the family to stay afloat.
@@vicenteenriquez149 sometimes doing the right thing isn’t as easy as people make it out to be, honestly 99% of the time it’s the hardest decision u have to make. We can turn the argument against Nancy and say she could easily find a better job with her social standing. Just quite and find a place you’re treated better.💀
@@Daniel090 That’s the difference though: Jonathan just needed a job, any job, to support his family. On the other hand, journalism is Nancy’s ambition specifically. It’s what she wants and excels at. Both have good points, and they come from a difference place/area of struggle, so I can definitely understand them.
Like you said, though, if it’s not as easy as “doing the right thing”, it’s also not as easy as “quitting your job that you’re avidly passionate about pursuing”.
Dacre’s performance as billy should’ve won an Emmy cause damn😦

Millie Bobby Brown did actually fall into Finn Wolfhard's arms after that intense scene in the sauna after throwing Billy out and through the brick wall. That fall was not scripted, and you can see Wolfhard looking offscreen where the directors are, even as he helps Millie get up. That was a genuine part of the scene, unscripted.
Again. Dacres acting in this episode is just historic. i can’t. him portraying Void Billys character so amazingly is literally unbelievable...
The fact that you'll were not immediately delighted by Erica is a red flag to me..😂😂😂..

There were hints that Nancy was a good writer, before the job. I imagined that she found out that she is also good as an investigator, in season 2. So I would say she wants a job in that area, not that she just followed jonathan to it. It's possible that jonathan helped her get the job, even if she wanted it and is qualified
To be fair Hopper did kind of finagle her into a date. She was doing her best to get out of it and he said it wasn’t romantic but it clearly was
El is getting stronger, and the stronger she gets, the less justification there is for her to die; you have not seen season 4 yet, but the more time that passes, the less I think it would happen, and because a spin-off is coming, I don't think the upside down will be destroyed. Also, stop saying El is part of the upside-down because you're not correct. She opened a gate to the dimension, but she was born in our dimension.

I liked the argument scene with Nancy and Jonathan, I thought it was very mature and they both made points. I also like that they don't take long to make back up. I think in general they did a good job of just because a couple is at odds, they're still able to get shit done like with El and Mike.

Me quite literally putting off sleep to watch this at 4am LMAO but I loveeee this episode! As sad as it was to watch I actually loved nancy and jonathan’s argument because it really shows their inner motivations and struggles that they individually do through. Mrs. Wheeler’s conversation with nancy was also one of my favorite scenes, it shows how much she really does care for her kids and it’s nice to see someone other than joyce/hopper parent. Erica cracks me tf up I absolutely love her and robin is a REAL one she continues to come through this whole episode. And yes MBB is such a phenomenal actress I swear she just gets better with every season!!

Keep in mind that el would be dead if Mike wasn't there. The girl turned into purple and no one helped her. They just stood there like statues.

Honestly, I related so much to Will during this season. And it's because of his angle on romance. In so many stories or shows I've seen, there'll be this really interesting concept. Whether it's action, horror, sci-fi, etc. And yet for some reason, this interesting plot will get completely stalled because of romance. It's like, cool. You're trying to have this romantic drama. But while you're doing this, the fate of the world is quite literally at stake. Will is clearly upset, but he's willing to put his feelings to the side because he wants to help people. Mike on the other hand is like, "Yes. Our town could be completely consumed by this being who once possessed my best friend. The whole world could be in danger. But my girlfriend dumped me. That's what I'm thinking about." Like, I find stalling the main plot for romance subplots to be so uninteresting. And not just that. Mike is barely even trying to get back with her. He's just complaining about it. If you have time to complain, you have time to act. And you're not going into action, so it's just complaining. And to add insult to injury, after she broke up with him, he didn't even seem to really care. Will has more patience than I do. Because that would've gotten old so fast.
Stranger Things has always had a romantic subplot though so I don't mind it because it has always been a part of the show.

@@sebolelomndaweni9487 Yeah. He tried buying her a present AFTER the fact. And before that, he spent most of the day ignoring the situation after she broke up with him. And no, you can't make the argument that Mike didn't know what to do. The moment Will got angry at him last episode, he immediately tried apologizing. Then he went after him when he ran off, in the rain. So if Mike really felt that bad about what happened, he would've immediately ran after her too. One of their core values in their friend group is that friends don't lie. And yet despite lying to El all day, he doesn't know why she's upset with him. Plus, Will has literally gone through the most in this show aside from El. So if anyone gets to complain about anything, it's him. I'm sorry that him trying to escape from his trauma and PTSD by focusing on happier things is too much for you.
I 100% agree. Will is honestly the most relatable character on the show, especially in s3, for me.

I think Jonathan saw the sexism, but figured it's just the sort of thing you put up with to keep the paychecks coming. He didn't have that particular one, but probably thinks that if he did, he'd just put up with it as an annoyance, because ne needs the money, which is the most important thing. And he might have; that's certainly why a lot of women put up with it as long as they did. Nancy, meanwhile, was thinking of this as a summer job to get a little work experience before college and get some good credits on her resume--that's the only reason she was there, and she was being prevented from doing that job by a bunch of sexist twits, and her boyfriend wasn't even supporting her. The scripts in their heads were entirely different.

that part where eleven fell down on mike after she threw billy out wasn't improvised. It was Millie actually so exhausted from working back to back on the scenes that she collapsed or fainted on Finn (mike) . Finn looked over because he was worried about her. It was talked about on a lot of videos and articles

The dust-like/small part of the mind flayer was deactivated when el closed the gate in season 2 finale. When the russian open the gate, that dust-like/small part of the mind flayer was activated and starting impregnating everybody.
Dustin is Literally not with the group this season. Hes staying with Steve and Robin spying on Russians willingly walking into danger. Erica has amazing lines.
I dont think Jonathan didn't see the sexism, he just couldn't afford to do anything about it, he _needed_ that job, whereas Nancy didnt.

It’s apparently said that during the scene where 11 is fighting Billy in the actual recording of that scene, Millie actually collapsed for real, but I don’t remember exactly why maybe she was just using too much physical energy that she just collapsed I think she apparently got extremely into the role and that caused her to go way past her normal limit that her body could take of physical and emotional energy

jonathan is desperate for the job. nancy doesnt need it because she comes from a good upper middle class family already. while nancy is correct, he is also right. its not like he can easily just find another job. he needs the money.
he literally was trying to help her by getting involved in the whole story and he let her completely take the lead, so he’s aware that the men there dont treat her like a human being and he wanted to do something to help her prove that “she worthy” to be there too with the whole story. but that backfired on him too, and he lost his job. nancy was also wrong for projecting on him but i get why since she was so frustrated.

As someone who grew up in an abusive household, I personally can’t understand why Max is concerned about Billy. That’s just me. I can’t speak for anyone else in that situation. When my dad passed away, I was so happy because he made my life miserable.
It’s probably just her guilt of knowing he’s not the ULTIMATE reason he’s toxic (even though he chooses to STAY toxic) Kinda like she still wishes he could be good kind of thing & plus he’s her brother there will always be that connection unfortunately.
There’s always a source. I grew up in a situation that was shit, like we’ll see, no spoilers, a reason why someone is the way they are. Some people choose not to get off the wrong path and stay messed up defined by their messed up home life while others, myself included, refuse to let what I grew up in try and break me down. So I didn’t. Fuck that.
I have very little sympathy for Billy but I sympathize alot with Max because I've been in her positon. You've got to keep in mind that Billy was also abused by his father and Max more than likely witnessed that and was also possibly a victim of it as well. Hurt people hurt people and Billy is an excellent example of that. However, trauma bonding is an interesting thing. Just because someone hurts you doesn't automatically mean you stop loving them. Especially when it's a family member.
Well, Max was a child when she met Billy. And even then, you are lucky because it is a sticky situation. She considers Billy his family. He is a constant presence in her day to day, a part of her life. A lot of people who suffer abuse has this conflict. She can even love him. You can love your abuser, that is what makes it so complex. He is her brother for what she is concerned. And that sort of bond is something people who suffer abuse from family members suffer from everyday. I know that nowadays we are trying to promote the notion that you are allowed to hate or forget toxic family members but believing that it is easy it is naive. It would be telling someone who is in an abusive relationship "just leave them! It is easy"
My mom was abusive as well... But I always cared for her... I guess it depends on the person

IMDB updated the Stranger Things page, they posted the season 5 premiere date as 2023, I know it’s been said it’s supposed to be 2024, but I’m not losing my shit, go see for yourselves 🤷🏻♀️

Honestly Nancy was being selfish. She knew that Jonathan getting fired was a possibility, she knew how much he needed the job, and when he said that she wasn't understanding that she was like, "..really." As if she was being attacked or something. I understand being angry, I understand wanting to prove sexist people wrong, but you don't drag others down with you to do that. Jonathan needed that money for and to help out his family, so she took needed money away from not just Jonathan but his whole family while she gets to go back to her parents who can pay for whatever she needs. I normally love having feminist characters/concept in shows like this, but Nancy was just wrong here
She literally never asked him to come with her, all she needed was his car but he decided to join

He also told her multiple times to drop it and she wouldn't listen. She was only thinking of getting her story. And girlfriend or not, we've seen from the show that Nancy is absolutely reckless lol. Aside from that its still another person taking your car that you can't afford to fix if they mess it up, so yeah I still think it'd be a problem

They killed off DCs Green Arrow too from the tv show on the TV 5 part movie crossover with 2 episodes left in the show but it made for an explosion series finale with his kids his daughter taking over as the Green Arrow passing along the torch. Arrow had to have the best ending in the Arrowverse on CW because it was the first one so Oliver Queens character got the best ending. It was an Epic Finale and that was the best crossover movie they ever made. I think CW made 4 or 5 so far.
