So disappointed. By the time I “discovered” this knife, Schrade had already Fd’ it up. I had a couple of Schrade knives lined up to buy, but after learning about this fiasco, and how they ignored the situation and STILL have not remedied it to this day, I will no longer be purchasing Schrade products. Nice going Schrade. Way to drive off your customers. Brilliant business strategy.

man it sucks i missed out on the good version of Jess-X, now if only he could get another company to remake it...but in the mean time at least i got 2 J-X 5's so i am coping pretty well

This video explains why they changed the blade design. It seems to me that someone didn't want such a tough blade on the market. But maybe that's just me

What a sad f-up on Schrade. I have a Jessica-X and Jessica but Ill be saving Jessica-X for now and purchasing a BK9 since I can buy another. I was hoping to give Jessica-X Hell and just pick up another one. Serious Loss of sales for Schrade.

I got 2, a hollow and the original, they look to be discontinued after such a short run, so hold on to them they could be collector items.

Like blackscout said, I was also skeptical of the knife's design. But damn, it can stab straight through a door, survive lava, common handgun rounds, and can snap a little bit of bark instead of snapping itself. What the hell is it made of? Seems totally worth the 65ish dollars. A pretty good, multi purpose SHTF.

+Black Anchor Outdoors Don't try and buy a Bushbat. One australian viewer got his stolen by your customs because they thought it was some sort of knuckle-karambit-devil-knife and they don't give two shits about the designers input.
That sux because I laws changed just this year allowing flippers and kerambit knives as long as they are not sharpened on 2 edges. But there is so many stories of customs not passing the memo around and some workers still sticking to the old laws. We can be a bit of a nanny country haha. I haven't had any taken yet 👍🏼 I'd be pissed if they took my bushbat. Kick ass knife by the way.
I cut down a lot of small trees. Most of them are usually only about 4 inches in diameter. Do you think this knife could replace my main buchcraft knife and machete?

Ok people. It’s 2024. February. Somebody fill me in on what happened.
The OLD Schrade bosses thought they would cheapen things up by putting a steep hollow grind on it and claiming it was a "mistake" at a factory (impossible...I worked in a machine shop). The unbreakable knife then snapped like a matchstick. All they had to do was leave it alone. Trying to get the new people to bring it back since they're making better stuff (there have a USA made line now).

Exactly what was the original knife? This is crap created by a nut job that has his creation redesigned by the people that bought it or hired him. If you a owned a patent you have some control. When you are hired to do a design or do engineering? Your ownership ends with a pay check. Sorry CT, but this is manufacturing and not an art studio. Many artist get even copyrighted work copied and ripped off by everyone. Cry on the shoulder of the inventor of the laser? Bell laborites ripped him off.

I have no use for something like the Jess-X but it was clear to see that it was really well designed and great at doing its job. It is a real shame the Schrade fubarred it.

I love my Jessica X. I am very happy for you Chris! You seem to be just a normal dude making a living doing what you love. That's pretty cool. I have zero movie making skills but I think Tact shooting it should've been last. Also how many units have you and Schrade sold.

love mine I've been putting it to use a lot got a new worksharp the original one and does that thing ever put a nice edge on it too its a great knife I love it
y e s .. really nice show . . but couldn`t you cut something more spectacular the doors and plasticboxes in peaces ? what about a small straight fight with a grizzley or hack you through a pirateship with complet crew ( i dont mean the bodys of the crew .. or ? if it is a real piratecrew .. probably it would end like that for someone .. a well , lets talk it aout some later) but you know what i mean , something more spektaculary than windy doors or other shity stuff .. wwaahhhhhrg ; )
