When they went bowling in Essex I pointed at the TV and said that's the bowlplex in Nantgarw. They were on about going for a KFC and all I was thinking is there's a McDonald's, Frankley and Bennys, nandos etc right there. They have put in a kfc now. Good marketing from KFC.

Love the locations and how you took your time and allowed us to get a good feel for each location and for your referencing back to the show. Also, kudos for the respectful way you approached the task. Really enjoyed it.

I lived in cornwall all my life but my daughter went to Cardiff uni and loved Wales so much she stayed there, married a Welsh teacher and we lost touch.
This is the best location filming upload ever. No messing around and jibber jabber before you get to the places. Well explained and I enjoyed it. I am in a terrible place in my life right now. Watched G & S when it was first shown and fell in love with it. I left the UK now and live in Ibiza but due to my mindset at the moment I am watching it over and over because it’s all I have thats keeping me going right now. Was seriously thinking about buying a place in the Barry/ Vale of Glamorgan area to go back to and just reflect. I like the way you haven’t made it all about what you’ve found or what you know. Well made enjoyable video. The show is all I have in my life sadly. I am so lost in this life so thank you.. Thank you from someone who’s probably the most miserable, depressed person in the world right now. 😢
@@FromTheAsh I went last year to Barry but went on the train from Lincolnshire so I only got to see Gwens house and Barry island locations , would love to have gone to Pam and Micks or the village hall locations etc
Fun fact: I worked as a wedding DJ in the Manor Parc Country Hotel for nearly 20 years often in the very room where the pair had their wedding party. I lugged my DJ equipment in and out if those doors more times than I care to remember!
@@FromTheAsh Yes, I finished DJing in 2009. I wasn’t there or involved in the filming in 2007 but I remember being told there was filming going on although at the time of course the show hadn’t aired yet so they didn’t make it out to be a particularly big deal. If only they’d known!!

Went to Brighton for a short "mini moon" & a night in Brighton to see a musical, it was rampacked!! Definitely want to check out Gordon's wine bar next time! Proper honeymoon abroad next year!😁👍
Step into Christmas, step into Christmas. I was in Barry last week and just missed them . Today we went to Dinas Powys and seen Smithy , bit of Stacey and Gavin. I would definitely go with Stacey as she's gorgeous. My wife says she saw Pam but I didn't as a van was blocking my view. They're there till the end of next week as this is the last of the filming so I'm told . I used to work for the church of wales and Peterson super ely was one of the churches i worked at ( St Peter's).
