Good review. Little bit harsh on Stockdale I thought. Yes, not everything was coming off for him but he was much better defensively than before. We're a bit short on obvious wing options in Ireland.
Many good things in this game for Ireland as well as full commitment by the whole team. Should have scored a couple more tries , but overall very positive for 3 new starters.
Excellent analysis . Fiji put to the sword ,they were not at the races . This Irish team were not the finished article so fair play to the coaching staff , they cou!e have won by a cricket score .
Agree with the analysis - Ireland were really not tested by Fiji. Curious performance by the SH team - ridiculously bad discipline from start to finish. Caleb Muntz is a real talent (as are a number of other players on the team), and they are lethal when getting possession from broken play. The 3 newbies for Ireland all showed well. There were a couple of brief periods where chaotic play literally stopped Irish attacks against Fiji - this was a more frequent occurrence in the match against New Zealand. Thats an indication to me that Crowley, Frawley, Prendergast, whoever plays in the 10 jersey must develop that 'Sexton-esque' quality of better directing the attack.
It was good to see some young blood out there today. I particularly liked Gus McCarthy. There were some sloppy passes and drops by Ireland, could have been a higher score but it was nice to see them getting some flow in their game which I am sure will improve as they get more time together. Thanks for your podcast 👍☘
Many thanks for vid, and thanks for the insight. Overall I thought Fiji never got started on the expansive adventurous playing for which they are famed and instead it was Ireland who played with great invention, with great handling (apart from forward passes) and basketball type passes. Kudos to Fiji players for staying in the game and for the respect paid to President Michael D Higgins.
I think we had the perfect tournament. Exposed some of the issues with our 1ST 15 in the first game and went on to explore solutions. Ireland needs to be exploring payers, options and combinations in the mid-term periods between major tournaments. We cannot be going into major tournaments showing predictable pictures and with a limited squad, no matter how talented.
That was weird. Won't be attract some sanction by basically calling the officials corrupt? This is becoming too common in rugby now, whining about referees and tmos after every single game.

We're back on our slightly Irish horse now, and heading for water.
Island v Island
Disappointed with the Aussie Figi coach being bitter about Ireland after the game.Poor form.

Fiji were poor.
Ireland v Island?
Yea, I thought Ireland was an island too
ireland not up with the play at the moment. Fiji are easy and ireland were lucky up vs boks while they were rusty
