Skater XL is honestly way better, Session is way too rigid in the movement animations, but the one thing I dislike very much about Skater XL is how the modding community or the amount of content available on console is just so sparse, hardly ever any new maps or gear being released so that’s very frustrating for me as a console player
Sounds like its only good if you have a PC. At least Session is the same across xbox and pc, always gonna get the same flavour with Session. A nice vanilla. Skater XL needs sprinkles and chocolate to eat that vanilla
i still have no idea how can someone pick session over skater xl. the animations are so rusty and robotic its not even fun. okay that the graphics are a little better and that everything is splined. but the graphics arent that better. there are modded maps on skater xl really gorgeus like the berlin xl. there are a lot of features that i prefer on session but the game has a lot to be worked on.
It'll be a hell of a lot smoother to play come 1.0, might not be as lightning-fast responsive like SXL is but that also cuts out a lot of the micro-movements that mess up lines in XL
SXL is garbage, Session feels infinitely better. I had over 100 hours in SXL when Session came out and I can't go back to that garbage now. Not to mention the devs abandoning the game. Why the hell would you ever support the SXL devs?
A lot of Session's animation issues are actually more to do with the physics, the 1.0 footage they've been dropping looks so much smoother. Still not quite as good as SXL's animations, but much easier on the eye right now
Lmfao and you think the SXL push animation doesn't look like complete ass? Or that's its not laughable how the skaters arms clip through his body in SXL just crouching?
That's super interesting that Session doesn't use splines in the same way! There are many ledges in the Skate. games that aren't grindable! There is a series of "ungrindable" video parts on RUclips that are all unsplined grinds in EA's Skate
They aren't even splined at all, making a mod map using unreal and you can put a collision in and it will use the edge to connect the grind. Can get a bit hecktic if you use complex collisions as the skater will pick random edges to grind which can trip the game out.
Would you be interested in making a discord or something like that that for people to send there clips and videos for you review. And would you cool with watching a video I made on session?

@@Siegefya I'm looking forward to version 1.0 that will be dropping in 11 days.
You’re not wrong
Skater Xl is more arcady then Session and i kinda like it to do some lines with eas its fun but i play on console if they just lower the gravity i would spend with it as much time as with session, to be honest i sold my SXL for xbox after to weeks its still can be fun but with session i have better fun despites it alpha and can be junky
its almost like you've never added your own spline to an XL map before 🤔
I’ve created my own map and have added splines! What are you referring to tho?
If Session can improve on its animations and feel/flow then SkaterXL is doomed. EasyDay are the most pathetic game developers in the industry. It seems like they've completely abandonded their own game and its audience.
The skating in Session looks booty, SkaterXL has way more style with the mods. Graphics in Session are way better though
key point: with the mods. vanilla SXL is dogshit and it's hilarious that mods are the only way to make it playable.
Ain't not 1 feature it's features.
stats mod was the best mod and made skaterxl peak above session ( at least at the time nowadays even with the mod skaterxl is so far behind ) the devs of skaterxl dont give a single damn about the comunity ... you can tell by their mobile game they completely abbandoned YET they post everyday on the ig page of it . people begging to fix the game they just ignore . for this reason i NEVER will play skaterxl ever again ...
Skate 4 need to be the best
Let’s hope it’s a good game!
I hate Session levels. Also why can’t they make a game with open world maps like skate.
I think the new Skate will be a fully open world but remember Skate 3 had “levels” too, it was cut into districts.
@@itspigeonthief yeah, i just miss skate 1/2 vibes.
@@TheJacobAnwyl disagree still, besides that thing I mentioned, I still enjoy Skater XL so much and session just looks like it doesn’t compare
@@TheExpressionx it’s okay to be wrong. Enjoy XL
@@TheJacobAnwyl it’s really funny that you call my opinion wrong, you don’t have to be salty about it.
@@TheExpressionx not at all salty my brother, enjoy XL, you like it better
Love both but still thinking skater xl feels and looks a lot smoother
Session is better
Sound like Northern Ireland but not too sure
Not sure you replied to the right comment but yes I am from Northern Ireland!
@@itspigeonthief wtf haha I don’t know how it replied to this comment! Hell yea man!!!
i still have no idea how can someone pick session over skater xl. the animations are so rusty and robotic its not even fun. okay that the graphics are a little better and that everything is splined. but the graphics arent that better. there are modded maps on skater xl really gorgeus like the berlin xl. there are a lot of features that i prefer on session but the game has a lot to be worked on.
Watching session doesn’t do it justice.
100% agree with this, playing it for yourself is a better experience than watching gameplay.
session just doesn't feel good to play thats it. if session felt as good as skater xl it would be over for sxl.
It does you just have to get over the learning curve
It'll be a hell of a lot smoother to play come 1.0, might not be as lightning-fast responsive like SXL is but that also cuts out a lot of the micro-movements that mess up lines in XL
SXL is garbage, Session feels infinitely better. I had over 100 hours in SXL when Session came out and I can't go back to that garbage now. Not to mention the devs abandoning the game. Why the hell would you ever support the SXL devs?
@@RSpracticalshooting support modders that make the game better
Session animations look so terrible holy smokes. Not even a contest lol. People say that’ll change but I highly doubt it’ll come close to skater.
They will get better once they get a new animator and even 1.0 is gonna look and play 50x smoother.
I just joined your discord super rad.
Welcome bro! And feel free to drop any Session videos in the clips channel.
