I’m really excited to see your powerlifting progress. Juji, you are already strong but I really think your lifts will go way up after prioritizing your power lifts. It’s inevitable that Tom will get much stronger though too.
By far the best cue I used when learning to squat was to "push your pockets out". Visualise pushing the pockets on your shorts away from each other, really helps with squatting between your legs instead of on top. I think Magnus might relate well to that one!
Magnus is always a treat but I really like Antoine. Very chill dude and yet an incredible athlete all the same. Thanks for bringing him on and I am looking forward to the change in direction when the channel will be more Juji & Tom focused as they get ready for their power-lifting meet.
The Stan Efferding video where he described the squat as a leg press movement has completely changed my squat for the better. I had an L5-S1 herniated disc prior to starting my lifting journey (and still do obviously) and asked/searched around. A slightly rounded low back during a squat's eccentric phase isn't correlated necessarily with low back injury from what I gather, the spine isn't twisted enough to put a significant strain to push the disc out. Most L5-S1 bulging discs don't seem to come from weightlifting backgrounds also. Do you have an article explaining the dangers or is just personal experience ?
@@toplad8113 That's what the doctor explained to me when I got out of the MRI Scan.
