In this video I'm looking at the 1/144th scale kit of CONCORDE, in the colours of the last flight aircraft, G-BOAF. I'll start with a brief history of Concorde, then see what's in the box and finally show you how I built my one. Is it something you'd like to build? Have you been given this as a gift and don't know where to start? Have a look here and see how to go about it!
    00:00 Introduction
    01:39 History of Concorde
    05:11 History of the kit
    07:38 What's in the box?

Ahhh the pleasure of enjoying the bonus historical content after a long day, with a coffee ☕, of course. The joy of moldy wheels, ropy wings, and 20% superfluous parts. Loved seeing those pics of the drafting areas. Great job making the best of it.
My favorite part was the spinning table and the nose that barely cleared the backdrop 👍

My display space is severely limited as it exists between the front of the desk and my computer screen... one day I'll have a fancy build area!

I am planning to buy this kit shortly - the original 1977 release was my second ever model kit in 1978 when I was eight years old and I didn't complete it, so I would love to have another go at it now especially since the aircraft is now even more historically significant. I like that photo you showed of the other airlines that were interested in purchasing Concorde; they would make a nice "what if" model if one of the aftermarket decal firms produced those color schemes.

Thanks Gary. I very much enjoyed the history. Good to know that it was dear old Bristol that was the British partner. What a great company that was!

Gary my friend history spot on ,you know in the early days there was to be a medium range Concorde and a long range in the end the long range version was done ,and how the 223 and super caravelle looked almost alike ,I’ve enjoyed this week you know there’s another aircraft BAC built that was beautiful as well my second fav the VC10 ,but Concorde is my all time favourite so glad I flew in her to experience a take off only RAF pilots like you would know about cheers Gary,I’m going to buy you a coffee you deserve it ☕️😊🙏

Glad the history was OK!!!! I love the VC-10 as well, gem of an aircraft. I was never RAF aircrew of any kind, but through various means have been able to fly in some amazing planes - best was probably an F-4 practicing a QRA take-off, the whole "scramble, scramble, scramble!" thing. I did fly in an RAF VC-10 (called Albert Ball VC, maybe XV109 but my memory for these things isn't great) and was amazed that all the seats face backwards for safety! But would have loved to have flown in a Concorde.

Looks a lovely kit in the end but I cant help thinking that a summary of the kit would be "Old kit, parts missing, some parts are pointless, cant even spell their own product names correctly, parts missing, expensive for what you get"

Yes, but I have to pad out the content a bit to make it look like I know what I'm talking about...!
