And a good day to you too Don. The baler is Massey Ferguson, so 1958ish, no earlier. It has a two cylinder air cooled Armstrong Siddeley diesel engine. The footage was taken at Tatworth Somerset in 2014 and the Owner Driver is Bob Waldron.
Whaaaat! who DIDN't cut all the grass at the corners for this video ? This film was well made way back then wasn't it. The colours have not faded, even had Sound way back then. . :-) It all looks the part with a good sound - really like going back in time Thankyou for posting
I remember my uncle using a baler like this, but with an Allis B engine, pulled by a David Brown cropmaster! Happy days!
I used to ride the wooden sledge in the late 60s, (Dad driving), 2+2+2+1. Kick out the catch and push them off. Was ok with the wind behind you...
Good day from Ont. Canada. Nice video what yr. would that baler be? Also what motor is on there? Thanks

Baler still in use. Grassy corner hides a stone ruin.
Looks like a baler from mad max!
