However, as you build a relationship with your sparring partners, you can start to increase the intensity of your sparring." THIS. Exercising caution and reserving techniques to be respectful, careful and not challenge people you just met, is key to building positive and productive relationships with good, or even some of the best training partners you'll ever have and/or need. This has worked for me almost all the time.
Hey Jeff, thank you for making such great videos. Youre positivity and content is the reason i started training Muay Thai. I have a long ways to go but if i never found your channel i wouldve never started in the first place. Much love
When you caught the body kick and adjusted to him pulling back his kick leg and used his own momentum to pull you into the double leg, was absolutely beautiful!! Thank you for the artwork!
I think that's one of the coolest things there is about sparring, matching your opponent's energy and intention, but knowing where the limit is, that is when it stops being sparring as learning and becomes fighting with risk of injury and concussion. You are awesome! ❤
As always great content. Also want to say that I bought the heavy bag course and its awesome. Breaking your techniques out into an explanation part, a workout part and sparring video showing the techniques is amazing. Keep up the good work!
@@MMAShredded thanks. Bcause in my kick boxing classes I have classmates who are heavier and taller than me and I can't manage the distance and get past their guard, thanks
3:25 Will always disagree on hitting as hard as you get hit. If someone escalates and it turns unsafe you should either communicate during sparring or stop the round outright. Helps keep a safe and controlled environment. Newcomers hearing that advice may not end well either. Youre a professional you can do as youd like of course. But I dont think its wise in the longterm. Clear and concise communication should be held above all.
He basically said it in the video. Hit as hard as u get hit - except Saenchai cause too much respect - the reality is just have respect for everyone unless ur looking for a gym war
@@rodpierce8468 Yeah, I got that, I heard that. Hence my reply to it. A gym war is not exactly a great idea and can lead to unnecessary injury. Hence the clear communication to de-escalate instead of escalating. But yes, have respect for everyone you spar. But if that person decides to not have much respect for you and begins hitting you harder than they should, that does not mean you should then retaliate in a similar manner.
Also can you make a video about how to counter the double and single leg sprawl when you your trying to shoot for the legs or stand up for a double leg or single leg takedown please?
hey jeff, love the content as always bro. would be able to share what kind of editing software you use to record these breakdowns. I know this is a long shot but i would love you forever if you can get back to me on this
Hey Jeff i have a quick question. If I am on a street fight with hard concrete as the floor, or anything else that hurts, should I shoot for a double or single leg. Or should I do a stand double and single leg on my opponent instead of shooting for there legs?
Hey Jeff ! Sanda guy here, what should one do when pressure punched against a wall ? I ended up with a bloody nose and a bruised eye on this weeks sparring. Seems like i always get cornered and forced into a high guard, which just gets me battered, should i just go for a single leg or throw an overhand when i end up in that position?
hello jeff can you make a video or tell me how u always throw a kick (low , body , head kick) at the end of your combos it hard for me to throw kicks at the end of my combos so a video on that will help me a lot , thank you .
I believe you can be champ if you actually put it in your mind I do really enjoy watching you sparring i have a question for how long you been training
it's like watching you spar a clone 😂 your styles look so similar

These controlled sparrings motivate me to begin in MMA, as I'm already 40 years old, and the last thing I want to get is brain damage.
Как всегда с интересом смотрю!
