Sorry if my English isn't great, I follow you from Italy and I think your teachings are excellent. I love drawing and learning new techniques. I follow you with great interest.

I take about a week to finish a painting. There is always too many things I want to paint. I make thumbnail studies of things that interest me with whatever is left on my pallette. They usually take about an hour. It's helping me with value of a color and techniques. I learn best by doing. I can watch a technique over and over but it doesn't help as much as 'just do it.' charcoal is easier than watercolor when you're away from home. I have a space set up at home where all things watercolor is kept. While I see fascinating things to buy, I don't because I'm limited by the size of the space. It's one of my happy spaces.😊❤

I love still life drawings of fruits and vegetables. Thank you for this tutorial. I am mainly using 6B and 9B pencils plus an ebony pencil. I also used "Distress ink" to create the shadow under the plate. That seemed to work. I only have a 4B charcoal pencil; I did use it to some extent.

I love this tutorial so much, it's so straightforward and beginner friendly❤ thanks a lot!!! I've been gifted a box of charcoal a long time ago but never really dared to use them in fear of messing up (I have no experience with charcoal whatsoever) but this step by step video really makes me wanna finally take them out and give it a try! I'm super excited! Thank you!
