unlike many others in this comment section it seems, i absolutely adore the talking! your conversation makes it seem so much more natural and less "staged" than other asmr (not that there's anything wrong with that, i enjoy that kind of asmr too!), and it makes for some really nice background noise
Literally everyone here adore the talking, they just think she’s talking nonsense. Might as well be reading a science fiction novel.
I've been watching ASMR for a really long time and one of my earliest favs were beauty therapists explaining different treatments. It's so relaxing to hear the various details about these things. And i enjoy the banter here too! Just all around a great series.

Call this Wu-Wu all you want but as someone who has bells palsy, these types of therapies seriously help relax my face, my headaches & clenching my jaw. This is also THE best ASMR style in my books :) please more reiki !
The placebo affect works though. I don’t believe in any of this stuff but if it helps people, even just aesthetically, then I’m all for it.

Wait is jaw clenching related to Bell’s palsy? I always clench my jaw and I have nerve issues in my face and always wondered if they were connected
@teefarox92 sort of my point... sort of... I suspect the placebo effect.... but if the placebo effect of having a complimentary therapy done to you, relaxes you and eases your discomfort, then who cares if that's all it was; the therapy you recieved hasn't actually done anything; and, as they say, it's all in your head?!
It's total woo-woo. It's fine if it helps you. But the problem is that these 'therapists' are claiming their therapies actually work, and popularize pseudoscientific crap.
Do I believe that crystals heal? No
Do I want a bunch of pretty rocks placed on my face. Yes please. Now please.

The gong to me just symbolises the practitioner’s desire to appropriate anything Eastern which is considered slightly ritualistic or symbolic so they can continue to develop their snake oil operation

This was less relaxing and more interesting. I get that its the unintentional style here, but the lights are so bright and theres so much joking/laughing that it didnt provide the calmness i was looking for. And i agree with some other commenters that close ups would be nice 😊

I like these videos and specifically this lady, but I feel there’s always too much talking, like it’s nice to just close your eyes and drift off, when they start talking it makes me jump.

Would have enjoyed the vid more if there wasn't so much banter and talking. Doesn't quite let me take it to the level where I feel relaxed. A shame as the therapist has a lovely voice.

I would genuinely love to know if this practitioner genuinely believes in what she’s doing, or if she knows it’s all nonsense quackery but decided it was worth it for the money/give people a chill time for money without actually having any useful or helpful knowledge. Like, Tolkien knew the Lord of the Rings was fiction, JKR knows magic isn’t real and Harry Potter doesn’t exist, but does this women also know she’s making stuff up or does she think it’s real? I know majority of commentators here don’t believe it’s real and call it wu-wu or quackery, and the practitioner will never admit it if they didn’t believe in it cause it would ruin their business model. Could never actually visit someone like this with an unknowing haze of deception hovering over it.
Chiropractors admit it in private, I assume anyone wearing scrubs and talking about their quantum technology has to know they're scamming though.
the board of chiropractors have sent out six emails telling everyone not to waste their time and money on those nervo-scope things they drag down peoples backs to find 'sublexations' (which also dont exist) but chiros on youtube still use them, still doing the same routine on every customer.
It's all for the bag. The same way MLM girlies know they're trying to scam their highschool friends into buying flat tummy tea or whatevers around now; its part of the training pamphlet

The only ASMR artist that I've ever seen do that is Chili B's ASMR. They're very up front that woo isn't real, they're just playing around with woo as a method of relaxation and don't believe any of it. I wish more people would do that.

I wish there were more therapy treatments like this, worst case scenario people become relaxed by gemstone therapy.
This one is incredibly unique, and the professional aspect of it is what really helps trigger the soothing side of my ASMR. My autism doesn't allow me to enjoy 'fake' or 'staged' or 'acted' ASMR.

Thank You for this. The power of positive thinking’s contribution to healing was scientifically proven decades ago. At the very least, regardless of the specific treatment, this young lady is obviously dedicated to the greater good, and she is certainly contributing to healing through the positivity of everything she says and does. Name calling is unwelcome here. I’m uplifted every time I watch Star’s sessions. Along with the undisputed ASMR vibes, that’s of healing value in my life.

I absolutely agree. Placebo affect works, there have been studies on it. And I’m all for anything that is positive and makes people feel better. We need more of that in this world, so I’m happy with whatever it is and wherever it comes from.

I’m not one to buy into these sessions as genuine medical sessions but I love the idea behind the holistic therapies!! I love anything that involves reflexology and craniology.
It does make me giggle that shes got the medical office set up and wearing scrubs 😅 she's very nice and does good work but the playing doctor is quite funny

The two of them have very pleasant voices that are good for asmr, but I find it difficult to relax to videos like this. I end up getting worked up over the stupidity of what is being practiced in the video.

I have a small criticism, I noticed whenever I started getting into the asmr you guys started chatting and it would take me right out cos I am focusing on what you’re sayin. Such a shame because this would have been peak asmr for me if not the chatting, but I skipped through most of the video by the end :-(

I like when the person doing the asmr does soft spoken explaining/talking, but I don’t like chatting back and forth! Even when other artists do ‘sharp/dull’ I always skip over!
The random chatting illustrates the practitioner’s unprofessional and grifting lifestyle. However, talking is the most common ASMR trigger so I am bemused at your comment, especially when half the videos on this channel are only talking
I love these videos although I am cringing very hard when she said the weed plant has the medicine and the fun stuff do it really blows my mind on how many countries have yet to recognize that THC has a lot of medicinal properties as well it always makes me cringe so hard the rest of the world needs to get with the picture we allow people to poison their bodies with alcohol and we are perfectly fine with that but a little bit of THC is just bad it makes you a bad person or whatever personally THC saved my life without marijuana I could not be a functioning member of society genuinely That's just me and I'm sure a lot of people will disagree probably the same people that have no problem drinking alcohol or smoking cigarettes
