As a former townhouse owner, I know that your well-being is about your neighbors. I was unlucky and had a loud neighbor whose kids ran up and down the stairs until midnight. It was difficult to sleep. I sold mt townhouse in 1 year and bought a house instead. Of course, I have more maintenance work now with a house, but I enjoy having a private yard and not having neighbors too close 🙂

Honestly it's fine with me I think I rather live either a townhouse or a condo, because sounds like more of a convenience to me compared to living in a individual house, because I think I rather pay the fees to keep my property maintained rather than just do it myself and going through all the headaches.

This answer is going to sound like a non-answer but it really is the best answer I can give. Buy what suits your needs best and is within your financial capacity. If condos are cheaper but do not fill your needs it doesn't matter that it is cheaper because you won't be happy with the purchase and want to move sooner.

I baccked into our turn around lane last night getting ready to head out of town. 2 unit town home mind you. I was towed within 20min. No warning. $560. This is what they do, and the neighbors are always helpful in telling on you. I’ve hated it ever since I moved into the townhome. A condo probably has more rules.

That is a little bit of an apples or oranges question. Condos are often "simpler" to rent out because of their low maintenance. A single-family home potentially has a wider pool of potential renters but will require more maintenance. Both can have their benefits you just need to look at what fits your comfort level more.
I’m new buyer in ottawa my budget is not high and I would love to get a small lot and custom build on it a tiny house what do u think is this will be good investment in the future if I sell it for example in 10 years , and is it less expensive than a townhome or condos with insurance and taxes or going threw condos or rent better than custom build
That is a really interesting question. I think you are going to have to check what is allowed under zoning laws first. A tiny house many not fit within zoning regulations.

This is what we are trying to figure out in Queens NY. Condos are cheaper, but maintenance is very high and has a lot of amenities we don’t need.

I find that generally two car garages are more appealing to buyers than single car garages.
