    What about a co-op ?

      I did forget to mention co-ops! There aren't too many in Seattle, but they're great if a little more restrictive than condos. You buy a share of the company that owns the property and they're pretty much exclusively owner occupied. No renting out your unit and you have to be approved by the board once you get under contract. Usually a little cheaper than condos too.
