I am into "cozy mysteries", mystery books without the suspense and gore. Mary Marks has a series of books called The Quilting Mysteries. I have enjoyed the light hearted story and feel like I am part of the quilting group the story revolves around. I appreciate this video as I am always looking for new books to read that involve my hobbies and interests. Thank you for sharing!

If you have an Audible account, you may enjoy The Quilt Walk by Sandra Dallas and the Elm Creek Quilters series. The Quilt Walk, and some of the Elm Creek Quilters are free.

I see that someone already mentioned The Persian Pickle Club by Sandra Dallas, it is a favorite of mine. Also by Sandra Dallas - Whiter Than Snow and Prayers for Sale. I quit reading Jennifer Chiaverini because of the contentious relationship between a mother and daughter (which I figured would sort itself out but just took way too many books to do so). Happy reading.

that's so funny, I can't count how many times I got in trouble when I was in school for putting the book inside my textbook like that. My problem is I can't hear when I am reading, I get so engrossed in the book I tune out everything else. So the teacher would call on me with a question, knowing that I wasn't listening, and then I would get in trouble. lol.

You should look into books written by Sandra Dallas, she has one also titled, “A Quilt for Christmas.” I dearly love every book she has ever written, Patchwork Bride, Prayers for Sale, Alice’s Tulips, Diary of Mattie Spencer and Whiter than Snow, just to name a few. Quilts are in the backdrop of her books. I’m sure you would enjoy this author very much. As for Amish books, my favorite author in this realm is Wanda Brunstetter. Another author I love to read is Sharyn McCrumb, her Ballad Series is phenomenal. I’ve read everything by these 3 authors, they do not disappoint. I will look into the books you mentioned, as I’m always looking for a good book.
