Men are the protectors and maintainers of women. Yes, but not to suppress them and prevent them from their rights. This is a responsibility for which they will be held accountable, which God gave them. God said, “Do not keep them to harm them in order to transgress.”

Western obsession with Afghanistan is fascinating lol. So many places that are much worse off. Is it some propaganda channel that i havent seen? Is it because of the guilt they feel for causing the problems in Afghanistan? NATO has a hand, but it was mostly US funding that created and supported Taliban.

its more important that the men are in a better work position than women, thats where afghanistan focus should be prioritised, but they should fit women where needed, this is not the same as trying to get every woman into a office or shop.

Have you visited Afghanistan and talked to the officials? They do not have the capabilities. Where are the Muslim investors in the West to revive Afghanistan, which is besieged and not recognized, just as they did not recognize Turkish Cyprus. The citizen there cannot travel to any country except Türkiye

yeah, everyone in afghanistan are having it rough, their country has been constantly fighting against western power for centuries.
since 1813 they were in conflict with both the russian and british empire, then the soviet, then the US.
they were in survival mode during all those times, everyone men women children.
i personally think we should let them be for now.
obviously they can make mistake, and we shouldnt justify their wrongdoings. BUT
calling out someone who's house have been burned down is not a fair thing to do.
and they wont appreciate being called out by the ones who burned their house. (anyone western)
and maybe the western media is deliberately calling them out to make afghani think
"we will do the opposite of what our enemy advise"
    like a simple mind game
the west calling out afghanistan for oppressing women
afghanistan keep oppressing women as act of defiance
    Allah knows best

I am baffled by how grossly they misinterpreted the German lady's question!!!! And to add insult to injury they brought a woman (a 3arab one who can't pronounce the letter A) into the conversation as in: "hey look, we brought someone from the same species as you who understands and can talk to you because we're not from the same species and clearly can't understand what you're saying."
She asked if muslims can change what's happening in Afghanistan and the misunderstanding of islam there. A simple answer could've been: if you think a pakistani or an arab can go to Afghanistan and tell them how to live their lives, you're very wrong. It'd be like a catholic going to Russia and telling them they must involve the pope in their prayers!!
It's not that easy, especially in a country coming out of a 50+ year war with everybody. They're pretty much wary of any foreign influence at this point. Just because we are both muslims, it doesn't mean they would listen. However, an effort must still be made in the form of advice and education.
